I have to come to this store every time I visit Georgia. It has all the perfect gifts for my…read morefamily and friends (and myself). You can feel the positive energy when you walk into this place. This eclectic store is always the highlight of my visit to the sugar loaf mills. The employees here are extremely helpful and there is always a sale going on. They stock beautiful healing crystals, incense, clothing and other items you can't find at a regular store. When you checkout with your purchase, you can ask to have your items cleansed of any bad energy. I enjoy browsing through their different jewelry to get as gifts and there are a lot of "zen" products if you like that kind of stuff. The little electric water fountains are nice too but I don't buy those since I'm not sure if they would survive the airplane ride back home. If you are looking for something different to gift others or for yourself this is the perfect store.

I've visited this Barnes & Noble location several times, and every previous visit has been…read morepleasant. Unfortunately, this experience was very different. The cashier, a gentleman with sandy red hair, gave the customer ahead of me excellent service. He was friendly, talkative, asked if the customer had a Rewards membership, took the time to explain the program, handed him his bag, and waited until he walked away before calling me to the register. When it was my turn, there was no greeting or conversation. I placed my book on the counter, and he simply rang it up and said my total. Only as I was paying did he quickly ask if I had a Rewards card, almost as an afterthought. Before he had even put my receipt in the bag, he was already calling the next customer over. I had a question, but he rushed through his response so quickly that it felt like he couldn't wait to move on. The difference in how I was treated compared to the customer before me was very noticeable. I left feeling like I was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. I've always enjoyed shopping at this location, which is why this interaction was so disappointing. I hope management reminds staff that every customer deserves the same level of courtesy and attention.
