After this happened several times, the automated person hung up on me. The automated system needs to be monitored and changed so that there are no interruptions. When I finally got a live person, I had to be transferred three times. By then I had to take care of other business and my complaint never got filed. Staff don't seem to know who to contact for simple transactions. Delivery staff continue to drop packages at the wrong door; they can't follow the instructions provided. I don't know if this is the correct shipping center for Charlevoix, MI. The stupid automated system requires a door tag or tracking number and that information is not important for this review. The delivery person fails to follow my instructions which are to leave the package at the front door and not the original porch door. This is a common issue. It is a shame that the delivery folk cannot understand simple instructions.

The supermarket competes with the Walmart Supercenter next door so the prices are definitely low. It's a tidy enough grocery store ad it was nice they were open until 10pm as I rolled in here late at 9:00. Oops. Easy enough to navigate the store that is in the usual layout with the stuff I wanted all the way in the far back corners. Shelves were stocked and even though the deli was closed at this time, they had pre-packaged meats and cheese available. Dinner ended up being a frozen meal that was low carb. The thing is has going for it is that it since it's bigger than the grocery section at Walmart, it does have many things that the Walmart doesn't carry and a bigger selection. That does come with higher prices though. It's usually our second option after Walmart.

Well, my bag was missing when I arrived and I was reduced to wearing a pair of cheap shades while wandering the Island. Searched high and low for a pair I liked over the next two days visiting most of the shops on the main drag not finding what it was I was looking for. Let's be honest most places sell cheap glasses like what I was trying to replace. What was I looking for? I don't know but I knew it would know it when I saw them. On my last day I happened to look into the arcade at the Bicycle Inn and Suites, spied Sun Optics, and was saved. It is located at the back of the arcade and is not well marked but has a great selection of sunnies to peruse. The last case I hit had the glasses I was looking for, rang them up and left a happy camper. If it were not for a lost piece of luggage I may very well have never found them. Now if only my bag would be found but that is being saved for another review...

Store clerk took my name and number and didn't know when someone would service appliance because it was starting summer with summer residents needing help. It's now been six weeks and no call. Questionable if I would ever buy an appliance from this store again. But, the man who runs the store (owner??), who has been there for years, has the worst customer relations of any store I have ever walked into. When I wanted to return something, he was frightfully inconsiderate and wouldn't let me have the sale price on an item. I had to buy it anyway, and then he sold me a GREETING CARD for $10.00!!!! On the counter were some price tags, and when my friend who had accompanied me picked them up, he said, "leave those alone, those are mine" in a very surly manner.
