I've been a Cricket customer for four years. I liked their no contract price and free upgrades…read more Never did I think we'd be lead down a rabbit hole. Ever since we got their service, we could not access the wifi and had to use Cricket cell service. I went to the store and they said there was nothing wrong with the phone or service that it was with our Internet. I called the Internet company and they ran a check and everything was good. This went on for the duration of our service with them. I recently got a text that I was eligible for an upgrade, so I went to the store. They told me that they never do that and I'd have to pay for the upgrade. They also said that the people who had worked for them had been fired. I explained that I had done this at least twice in the past for free. Apparently now you can only get a free phone is to be a new customer. This is how they treat their loyal customers. So then I started calling different companies. They asked if my phone was locked? I had no idea what they were talking about. I pulled up the MyCricket app and searched it only to find it was locked. Went back to the store and they said they couldn't unlock it . I called customer service and was on hold for 45 minutes until I was finally connected to a person. She was very nice and did unlock the phones. Now I find out that I can only sell the phones to Cricket or AT&T customers. Talk about a whole lot of bs and being held captive by this company. I'll never recommend them to anyone.
