Tiana helped me and from the first moment with her I felt I had someone who cares, is thorough, kind, and knows her stuff. I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtfulness and care she put into helping me. She has a great attitude and is a smart young woman. Cannot even begin to describe how horrible my experience was at this At&t. Do yourself a favor and don't even sign up for their service , we heard something different from every single employee we talked to. They had no idea what they were talking about and completely messed up our bill on multiple occasions. So many surprise fees added on at check out that were not explained. Went back multiple times for bill adjustment and eventually we were completely ignored and no one in the store would help or approach us. I only went in to charge my phone. By the time I left I had switched carriers and bought a new Iphone 15 pro Max based on the coverage, plans prices (with incentives including trade-in). However..... Figuring out what you really owe is very confusing due to complicated formula of not really getting money off your iphone trade-in but receiving a credit every month for 36 months which will add up to the overall credit value. No contracts but if you cancel you are on the hook for whatever the balance of the phone is and the credit no longer is applied. This was explained and I got it. A little irritating in the upselling. Then I got my first bill. It did not include the waiving of the activation fee, it did include ATT insurance that I explicitly said I did not want and some obscure charge (never even heard of it) which has something to do with upgrading down the road. I got it all cleared up with the lovely customer service rep Kristi, so all good. My advice is to make sure you get an itemized receipt of every thing you discussed and expect to see in your billing. btw you don't get credit on first bill (they need to verify if your trade in qualifies) but I just have to trust that it will all work out by the second or third. Had a surreal experience here. Lost my phone and online support told me to go to a physical location with ID for help. So I did. The junior staff at this store said they were unable to scan my state ID (a valid new license), nor could they accept a U.S. passport and they couldn't be bothered to even try to problem solve. When I asked how i should go about recovering or cancelling the account, they were annoyed that I continued interrupting their gossip session and one of them literally threatened to call the police on me and even picked up a phone feigning to do so. That was surreal as I was simply a customer following AT&Ts directions to recover my account and never got unruly/threatening etc. I called the clerk's bluff and asked him to call the police to help us sort out why they were billing me without allowing me to either access or close my account, and the junior clerks sheepishly went back to their gossiping, even telling one another to "just ignore him." I was about to call the police myself from a store phone, when the store employees were saved a lot of hassle by Devin (sp?) who quickly de-escalated the situation and did his best to help. Devin ended up stuck in the AT&T crazy bureaucracy and couldn't help, but I appreciated his professionalism and attitude and was grateful for even the attempt to help. 2 stars because they have a gem holding things together in Devin (would otherwise be 1 star and likely would've escalated to police visit and an interesting spectacle for customers asked to give testimony to the bizarre behavior of the junior staff that would rather pretend to call police on customers than even try to do their jobs. read more

To the point: I went from a $93.29 bill(one line) to $219.65 for my "first bill" and after that I have to pay $170(two lines) for my regular plan. When it is supposed to be $150 total starting the next billing cycle since I convinced my mom to drop T-mobile so I could include her in my AT&T plan. I am bringing you customers and what I receive in exchange is bad service and ridiculous extra charges. When all I asked him to do was to add my social security number because I was trying to buy an iPhone at the apple store and I couldn't because it did not match my AT&T account. Apparently, when I opened my account with AT&T in 2018 the incompetent employee did not add it to my AT&T account because he or she did not ask me. Why she/he did not ask me? I have my assumptions as a latino man, but I am not going to go there. What bothers me the most is that I, the customer, am the one the has to be punished by paying extra money for the AT&T employees' mistakes. It is unacceptable! You bet I am coming in two days. Went in to get phone screen fixed. Arrived 15 min before appointment. Repair guy wasn't there so they told me to have a seat and they would let me know when he arrived. Flash forward to 11:30am (appointment at 11am) no one has said a word to me. I go to the guy I talked to and he said "yeah he's not here and we can't contact him. But we can send you to another location" so he sends my info to another location and I looked at the new place and it is closed. Don't buy an iPhone form AT&T! I recently purchased an iPhone Xr from this location. I was helped by a representative there named Mark. The iPhone I purchased is having issues with the touch responsiveness of the screen. I went in to see if I could return or exchange the product. To my surprise, I was told that there was nothing AT&T could do to help me, other then provide me with a new phone through the warranty, a service that costs $200. I explained to them that this phone is new and was pre ordered. Regardless, they did nothing to help me as me having preordered the phone meant my return period began before I had received the phone. This resulted in me not having the full grace period to rest the phone as intended. Luckily I was told Apple could replace it for me through the warranty. When I went to the apple store, they in fact did attempt to return / exchange the phone for me, but could not Because I have bought it from a third party / AT&T. I went back to the AT&T store to see if they could assist me. To my surprise, I was told my order could not me even located due to it being preordered. Now I am left with a faulty brand new expensive iPhone that I cannot even return even with the $50 restock fee, courtesy of AT&T and not Apple. I will continue to attempt to find a way to repair my phone through Apple. However, neither of the two are willing to assist me in location a simple solution at this point. There's no defined area to report to, so you stand around like a schmuck, hoping on of the employees will notice you among the other hundred poor souls trying to get their phone sitch squared away. The store manager, Chris, is awful. Heard him tell three people "no" before he hit me with his fourth "no" in about two minutes. He doesn't follow up with you (or the other no'd peeps), he just says no, you stare at each other for a second, and then he ignores you and moves on to the next person he can hit with a no and clear from his queue. I walked into the phone store with really, really low expectations and thought it was going to be a terrible experience. I had called before to try to set up an appointment and couldn't get a human on the phone ( I don't like doing everything online, I prefer to speak to people) and thought it was indicative of what was to come. As soon as I walked into the store I was greeted by Andrew who was so helpful and nice, and made the experience quick and painless. I really didn't appreciate the way my issue was handled: 1- Waiting 30-40 minutes for sim-replacement which took him only 2 seconds to do 2- This is a big store and there is a huge team but it seems that everyone went on break when the store got busy!! 3- While waiting for 30 minutes I observed how agents are handling clients' request. Most of them looked sure-per helpful and nice so I expected the same. My agent was somehow on the colder side :( and didn't do a lot of explanation when I asked him a couple of questions. He really didn't make the effort and cared more about documenting how many clients he had today on that price of paper in front of him. Didn't even wait until I leave to do it!!! He did before asking me what's going on!! I think this store could be managed way better than that to meet the clients needs. Disgruntled customer would be an understatement. I had to take 4 days to cool off before writing this review. Although I largely attribute the absolutely ridiculous customer service to the AT&T telephone representatives I spoke with, the issue ultimately stemmed from how my phone was set up in this location. First, I sincerely apologize if this hurts any of your employees' feelings as it is NOT their fault for being so severely and inexcusably undertrained. This is a corporate issue across the board as evidenced by your absolutely horrific ratings in all departments. I spoke with an online representative who informed me I could go into the closest AT&T store to purchase a new iPhone. Mine was glitching the first day of my vacation and I needed to have a working phone immediately. I called ahead to this location and was informed my make/model was available for purchase and I could come in for the product. Fast forward two hours: I show up, ask about purchasing the product I had just confirmed was available and receive: "oh, you can't buy iPhones at this location, you need to go to Apple. We don't sell phones outright." 1) this is logically ridiculous if this is your business practice AT&T so shame on you; 2) if this is incorrect information, then it is even a further testament to your training tactics as this kid obviously wasn't a slacker he was just young. I asked him very clearly: will I have to come back here after I buy the phone at Apple to set it up? (This was ONLY because I was on vacation and wanted to enjoy the city, not a big deal if I had to just wanted to know.) "No. Apple sets it up." I go to Apple, I buy the phone. No problems. Apple then informs me I need to go back to AT&T to connect it. Of course, this is AT&T's fault for giving me wrong information. I was a little irritated but whatever. I go back to AT&T, meet a new customer service representative, and she "sets up my phone." I put this in quotes because it was improperly set up, which cost me 2 days of vacation, over 4 hours at both stores in the upcoming days, 1 hour on the phone with Apple and AT&T, all because she didn't enter in some imbe number to reflect my phone update. Because of that, I could receive phone calls/texts but no iMessages unless I was connected on wifi. I had no access to Lyft, maps, or Yelp while I was maneuvering my vacation. Needless to say, after I was told by your telephone reps repeatedly that this was Apple's problem, I went into Apple, had the best customer service of my life, and learned 4 hours later that AT&T's point the finger method led me right back to AT&T. Just thought I'd let this location know of what happened to prevent more reviews like this. So, I have to disagree with the other reviewers, I've had TWO bad experiences at this store. I'm a new customer to AT&T and got new phones via online. One of the phones kinda sucks, so I called AT&T Customer Service, who said I have to take it to the store to be exchanged. No probs, since it's close to my office. I go into the store and there are about 10 sales reps standing around, in various states of conversation - WITH EACH OTHER. Granted, if you're a busty young girl, the boys are all tripping over themselves trying to help! But, if you're male, they're too busy talking to help. Finally, I got one to talk to me. He insisted that the phones can only be exchanged by Customer Service over the phone (contrary to what customer service said.) Aren't they BOTH AT&T!? WTF!? So, I call back to customer service, they send me back to the store, the second guy in the store today was a jerk - especially when I whipped out the web page that clearly states that phones can be exchanged in the STORE or over the phone! He then directed me to use a phone that didn't work, and then finally got me a phone that did work, to sit on hold again! Oh, and it was REAL classy when a young woman came in for help with her phone, and THREE of the sales reps were blatantly flirting with and teasing her. Are we back in 7th grade here!? Finally, I got a customer service number that was ABLE to resolve my issue, and it will be resolved over the phone and mail. But, I bought AT&T phones from the AT&T website where it documents that an AT&T store can exchange the equipment. This was confirmed THREE times by Customer Service (they told my jerky sales rep the same thing, to which he disagreed) and then this store full of duds gets pissy when I actually hold them to their policies!? If I wasn't so keen on the iPhone I would have stayed with Sprint. They're just as stupid in the stores. Bottom Line: If you need/want an AT&T phone - do it on the phone or online, and avoid this place like the plague - unless you like be flirted with by sketchy guys who can't follow company procedures. AT&T has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have never met anyone that had a good experience at AT&T. Their only mission is to scam you and give you shitty deals. Every time I wish to make changes or cancel it takes about 3 hours out of my day and nothing of what I want ends up happening. Customer service are never helpful and just transfer you to different people and you have to wait about 25 minutes in between each person. Complete waist of our time. Shiny new store, horrible service. I went in to look around and was basically followed by several sales people (I don't know, maybe I looked sketchy?) and then when I went to check out the upstairs, a salesperson was really rude to me and said I could not go upstairs. No explanation, no apology-there are no signs indicating that upstairs is off limits. I then picked out a case for my Galaxy Tab S and had several salespeople get annoyed with me when I believed they were free and they weren't. Even the ones who were just sitting around looked at me and ignored me. Finally I flagged down one nice woman who didn't seem totally exasperated that I wanted to PAY FOR MY ITEM. Don't be fooled by the shiny exterior of the new store, the people are the same rude crowd as any other AT&T branch. I recently got my first Android phone but need to get it replaced because of defects. So I went to the store expecting a smooth process, but they did not have the model in stock. The rep told me that they couldn't check other branches' inventory even with their internal network, so I'd have to call. Nearby stores didn't have it either. Okay. A day later I call this same store, a different rep on the line very curtly told me they "cannot disclose inventory information" over the phone with no reason given, and said the only way to check is through their website. By now of course I'd already checked the website but wondered perhaps I missed something so I asked "How?", he drawled, "Go to the AT&T website, type in the phone you want, annnnnnd search!" WOW, thanks for thinking that nobody besides you has any shred of intelligence! I've not been treated in a condescending manner in a long time, thanks AT&T for refreshing that experience! read more

I had an accident that destroyed my phone and quickly needed a new one for work. I was suggested a simple pre-paid that I ended up hating after a week. The return process was a nightmare. It took one store to realize they never printed a receipt for me, a second store to tell me it might be better to take home phone downtown (this store) and finally a call with the manager to get all my money back. The reason I give this highly rated review is the great treatment I was given at the end to apologize for the ordeal. I'd been on Apple's "priority list" for the iPhone 4 for over a week, and I figured that I would try out this location to see if they had any in stock. I happened to be in the neighborhood, and the Apple store was pretty busy and most likely out of stock, so I went in here to have a look. What a contrast to the Apple Store. There's no one there to greet you, point you in the right direction, see if you have any questions that can be answered quickly, etc. I saw a guy sitting in the front window playing with his phone, and another person standing behind a desk on the lower level. I wasn't sure, but I had a sneaking suspicion that this person playing with his phone actually worked at the store. I walked to the upper level, and there was one person ahead of me, and he seemed to be getting pretty good service at the desk, so I figured I'd wait for the lone lady behind the desk to be done with him. All the while, another gentleman, who appears to work for this store, walked right by me, went behind the front counter, and disappeared through a door in the back without even an "are you being helped?" So, I stood and waited between five and ten minutes. Finally, an official-looking man with a name tag asks me if I need help. Me: "Hi, I was wondering if you had any of the iPhone 4 in stock?" Him: "Everybody's ordering them." (I don't care for the dismissiveness, and you could've just said, "I'm sorry, we don't have them in now.") He then proceeded to tell me that they had the iPhone 4 for cheaper than the Apple Store, and that I could order one through him. *blink* Huh? I didn't think the AT&T Store could sell that for less than Apple. I asked him to explain. He said, "At the Apple Store, they charge you tax based on the retail price of the phone." (Isn't that what they're supposed to do? In that case, how are you charging sales tax?) I asked him something to the effect of, "How is that possible?" His response was, "I don't work for them." *blink* He then asked me if I wanted to order. I said I'd prefer to wait for the Apple Store. He then said, "So, you're alright with paying more for it?" *blink* I walked out. I don't know if they're on commission, but they shouldn't make it so obvious if they are. And I don't exactly believe that AT&T can sell Apple's product for less than Apple is selling it for - I am reasonably certain there's got to be some kind of resale price maintenance agreement. The bottom line is that I felt like I was being sold to, and the person spoke to me in a condescending manner. Perhaps I would have had a different experience with a different employee, but judging by some of the other reviews on here, I am not so sure. I think I'll try other AT&T stores in the future, or just go to the Apple Store. Sure, they may charge more (though I doubt it for the iPhone 4) but they've always made me feel comfortable and treated me like a customer rather than a potential sale. read more

Here is what I told the manager at the AT&T about great customer service from Yesenia Fajardo: Sir, Great customer service is such a rare commodity, that whenever I encounter it, I try to take the time to acknowledge it. I thought that you should be aware of what an asset Yesenia Fajardo is to AT&T. This past Friday night in NYC, my iPhone was stolen, leaving me completely in communicado. When I returned to Boston on Saturday, I came to the Boylston St. location where I had purchased the phone, and I was greeted by Yesenia, who asked me how she could help. Here is a list of all the things she did "right" in responding to my complex set of needs. 1) She was warm and professional in her initial greeting. 2) She really listened to my problem and went well beyond the normal level of customer service in helping me to solve the problem. 3) When she explained to me that my replacement coverage did not include coverage for theft, she suggested I try talking to the people at the Apple store to see if they could be of help in replacing my iPhone. They were not able to help, and I am not in a position to pay full price for a replacement iPhone at the moment, yet I could not be without cell phone coverage for business and personal use. I realized that I had a Blackberry that had been sitting in a drawer. Over the weekend I tried charging the phone, but without success. So, I returned this morning to the store. 4) As soon as I walked in, Yesenia recognized me and remembered what my problem was. 5) When her attempts at recharging the phone also failed, she sent me to Radio Shack to get a replacement battery. 6) With a new battery having been installed, I returned to the AT&T store, and Yesenia set me up with a new SIM Card, solved the problem of setting up a new voice mail account on my phone, synched my e-mail and made sure that everything was working properly before sending me on my way. 7) During the course of the morning, there were several times when she was on hold with AT&T customer service. During those times, she asked me about my business and generally did everything in her power to understand my needs and profile as a customer. AT&T sometimes is accused of being a large and impersonal corporate behemoth. You should be aware that Yesenia puts a human face on the corporation and is a tremendous asset to your store and to the company as a whole. read more

TLDR: AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS Three days ago, I went into the store to preorder a new phone and upgrade my phone line to Elite Unlimited. The first red flag should have been that the sales rep silently went through the process adding the add-ons related to both the phone / account without asking or confirming with me. Multiple times I inquired about cost and was quoted a higher cost than posted online. Ultimately, I assumed that the costs were corrected and that any other costs had been disclosed to me. The next day I received my bill learning that the costs were much higher than quoted in store. Subsequently, I cancelled my preorder phone order (the manager of the store had said he cancelled it when I called on the phone, however, when I checked online it had not been cancelled so I did it myself via the AT&T online portal) and went into the store to change my phone plan back to the original plan (I was not under contract under either plan). The sales rep in the store misinformed me that I was unable to change my plan until the phone I preordered had been delivered as "the phone was attached to the line" (despite me having cancelled it and no phone due to be ordered). Upon further questioning, the sales rep would not help and the Manager of the store (I wish I remembered his name) said sorry there is nothing they can do. In fact, there were multiple issues with my account after going in for "help" that I believe the store intentionally put onto the account including "parked equipment" and an installment order "pending" despite having cancelled the phone preorder and AT&T showing a status of "Cancelled" online. I believe this was a clear, shady attempt to delay my ability to cancel / downgrade the plan they had sold me. I spent 1.5 hours in the store on the phone with customer support who advised that I go into store to correct. I explained I was in the store and they "could not help". The issue went unresolved until the next day when after spending multiple hours trying to resolve over the phone, I went to another AT&T Store (In the Seaport -- highly recommend). This AT&T store was incredibly helpful and changed my phone service back to the original plan without issue. This raises the question, why would the store that had originally sold me the plan not be able to do this? Clearly they are looking after their own sales / personal quotas and not the best interest of the customer. I will NEVER go back to this store and would discourage anyone from doing so read more

First of all and most importantly, AT&T SUCKS! In July I called customer service regarding my bill and overcharges. After over 1 hour on the phone the agent "accidentally" dropped my call. Today I decided to call again despite my gut feeling as I knew I would not get anywhere. My bill is ridiculous Between Xfinity & At&T these are my largest monthly expenses. BIGGER THAN MY MORTGAGE!. Again, after an hour and 20 minutes I was accidentally dropped from the call. At the beginning of the discussion with customer service, I asked to give my name and cell number "Just in case we were disconnected) I never heard back. Again after well over 2+ hours between two calla one in July and today I have not received any affirmative answers or corrections to my bill / plan. I spend over $325 per month for 5 phones. I have been with AT&T over 10 years. In a 10 year span I have spent over $39,000 (THIRTY NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS) with this conglomerate. Don't you think they would have customer service that would like to help you without jerking you around and then disconnecting you after an hour plus of them telling you how great they are and how much they can save you and care about you? This rip-off almost monopoly company should be investigated by the local & national attorney generals. I think if they were looked into there would be multi billions in class action claims. I was extremely weary because pretty much all I read was that they ignore/dismiss you and don't care about customer service, but I went anyway because it was close. Once upon a time I had an iPhone and I loved it, but the data plan got to be too much and I downgraded to a lousy LG Vu. Which died last week. Being in a better financial position, I decided to take the plunge and become a Blackberry user. On my lunch, I dropped into the AT&T store and walked out 100% happy and connected. I had seen the Blackberry Bold online for free after a mail in rebate, but in store it was going to be $100 after the rebate. The sales lady (Maria) told me that she could knock off $50 in store - so for a final price of $50 it was worth it to not have to wait. I was disappointed that the white model was online only, but she also helped me pick a cute case. She answered ALL of my questions, made sure I fully understood the changes to my plan and the new 2 year contract. She also activated the phone and set it up for me - imported all of my contacts for free and helped me get started with e-mail. It was very helpful and very quick, too! The customer service was absolutely phenomenal, and I had low expectations walking in. What a great surprise! I will definitely come back to this location if I have any future phone problems! read more

The list is god above else apparently. Came in to get my SIM card changed after dealing with a huge hassle with the call centre they have. I signed in and waited for basically 15 minutes, I noticed the manager was up counting cash. After waiting he asked if I had signed in. After telling him yes, I mentioned my request was quick and he basically shrugged me off and made me wait. If you're the manager and you see that someone has a quick request, give them what they need and get them out. Because I am clearly having my time wasted and better yet, I'm sure that there is a customer who probably needs more help than me with something simple as a SIM card. So with that said, get it together. Because worst customer service I have not seen in a while. read more

I had a great time in this AT&T store. I want to thank particularly Peter for his help, patience and nice way to deal with all my requests. Since I am a foreign there were some issues to be solved since I couldn't apply for a two year contact. Yet, Peter helped me with great patience through all the steps of the procedure. Thanks for all the help. If it would not have been for Peter's courtesy, I would not have ended with an AT&T contract and with a Nokia phone. Now I have both and I am totally satisfied. read more

When you walk in a person takes your name down on an iPad for you to wait in a virtual line, which is a lot better than other stores where you have to wait and can't look around or wander outside. The rep was super helpful today and ran around the store to ask other people and check things for me to be sure that he was doing the correct thing. Still only gets 4/5 because in the past I have had issues, but it seems they are improving! read more

If you want to preserve your emotional sanity, NEVER go to this store. Absolute WORST customer service. Period. I waited for at least 20 min. Somewhat understandable. They make you sign in on a yellow tablet. High traffic area of Boston, OK, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I brought a book. Tried to be positive. And when I finally got a sales agent, He treated me as an imposition. I even tried to lighten the mood and he was just impossible. I still tried to leave there feeling positive, thanking him for his help and telling him I hoped he had a great day. He just looked at me like I had two heads and he couldn't give a shit. Then I got home and realized the 3 hours including public transit and wait time, that I put into that trip was total waste of time because the new SIM card he placed in my phone wasn't actually activated. I'm going to have to go all the way back down there, spend at least 3 more hours of my time because they couldn't have just said, "Let's make sure everything works before you walk out the door." I have never had ONE SINGLE positive interaction with this AT&T store. AT&T should seriously reconsider the type of people they have representing their sales. read more

Sammy was super helpful to me! I couldn't imagine a better customer experience. I called in earlier in the morning with my request (Mobile Hotspot and SIM card) and showed up in the afternoon to pick up my stuff.
