Well, things have changed as of yesterday, so I feel obligated to update my review…read more I noticed yesterday evening that my Internet had not slowed to a crawl by 6pm, as it normally does. I was able to stream a YouTube video and check a couple Facebook notifications on my phone at the same time, without the video buffering. I haven't been able to do that in ages. I ran a few speed tests last night and got a solid 19.5 Mbps each time! I'm getting the same results today (Saturday) - normally Saturdays are slow all afternoon. I checked my modem's config page and noticed that I'm now connecting to 8 downstream channels, rather than 4 channels. It seems like they've implemented a significant upgrade in the last couple days to be able to push more channels. I'm improving my rating to 2 stars. I'm quite satisfied with the service as it is now, but I'm skeptical that it will continue. I also cannot forget about all the troubles I've had in the past.

They typically say "the plan you were on expired and we don't offer it anymore". We're then expected to pay a $20-$50 difference for renewing services. We get charged random charges often. Our bill isn't consistent even though we don't add or make changes. When we ask what's costing us they say it's a prorate charge, or it costs $5 to get rid of unlimited data, or whatever to get more $$$$. Unfortunately they're the only company where we live that will service us so we're stuck. But it's a bad time every time. We never know if we're going to get a normal bill or not.

They took a very difficult installation and made it look easy. The technicians showed up on time, at a set time and not a 5 hour window which by the way was missed by Directv when I tried to have them do the job. They will get you same deal as going to Directv directly and be way more friendly and personable not to mention they will get the job done.

I spoke to Sam today with ETEX Tech Support because my internet was a little sporadic as far as connection. Sam was so helpful and listened to my concerns. He talked me thru the process of resetting the router and doing what he could on his end and now everything is running smoothly. Hallsnet gives you the speed you pay for. I pay for 10 mbps. As you can see in the picture, I almost always get more than what I pay for and look at the upload speed. ETEX offers no large upload speeds. Hallsnet tries to match the speeds as best the can. Also they provide great customer service! Get internet from Hallsnet and stream your tv service.

The wait times were quick and I didn't have to deal with an automated thing which was great.
