If you replaced them with a couple of fast-moving snow monkeys, the patients would probably be happier. The monkeys would not be able to solve any problems either, so at least there would be no loss of service, and there would be some entertainment while you guys make us wait 45 minutes or so. To be fair to the snow monkeys, unlike you guys at the front desk, after a few weeks of training, they might actually start solving some of the problems. My lil' friends, I am not sure if you are doing this as charity work, but I assume they actually pay you a salary. We are not asking for miracles here. Nobody expects you to perform surgery at the front desk. Answer the phone, pay attention to the patient, and occasionally solve a basic administrative problem. We can start there. It seems to me like this practice is only interested in testing for Covid (perhaps there is a financial incentive to prioritize) while neglecting multi generational families of patients that have come to rely on their practice.
