I've been searching for a plumber for at least a month to help tie up some loose ends that a…read moreprevious contractor wasn't able to complete. The plumber who was originally supposed to do the job tried to reschedule last minute and left me in the lurch as I'd already rearranged my schedule to have my plumbing done a specific day. Fortunately I found Frank who gave me a reasonable estimate within a day and who was able to accommodate my schedule and requirements. Frank showed up on time, fully prepared, and got straight to work. While I'm quite sure some difficulties with the job popped up, he quietly handled them to make sure that ultimately, the job got done and done well. He cleaned up, did a neat plumbing job and left my apartment in fully working order. Frank is honest, responsive, flexible, and accommodating. After reviewing at least 3-4 plumbers and having the last one bail on me, Frank came in at the ready. It's time consuming and difficult finding a fairly priced, direct, and honest contractor in general, so I'm very grateful that I was able to find Frank. If you need something done, go with Maximo Plumbing!

I contacted a couple of them. One plumber came out looked at it and didn't know where to shut the water off at. He then never came back. I contacted Maximo and immediately got a response as well as quick quote. Guillermo came ready with everything (even the replacement hardware), looked at it and began the work. He kept me informed every step of the way about what they were doing. They came at 2 and finished about 5ish. We had previously agreed about a price. Yet I gave him a bit more because he also changed my bathroom sink faucet which the handle was broken.. the next day when I had a small issue, he came back quickly and fixed it. All in all, I probably would use him again.

Customer Beware!!! We use this company Priority plumbing…read moreduring our renovation project in October 2024. Mohammed (the plumber) agreed to convert our oil to gas throughout 3 floors in our house and install a new Navien tankless Boiler. Mohammed's work started off great but quickly turned sloppy (please see the attached pictures of the water lines installed in our basement). During this project, there were several major setbacks. for example, some of the new heating pipes that weren't installed properly froze over and eventually burst. Cause water damage in the ceiling and walls in the unit below. This was due in part to this company's inability to properly drain the lines if the unit was not able to be turned on during the winter. Mohammed never agreed to fix the damaged ceiling or walls in the other unit. He just repaired the busted pipes. Again, customer beware!! Mohammed is very rude and unprofessional. He over promises and under deliveries. He does not respect his customers. At the beginning he is very responsive (when trying to get your business). However, once the contract is signed, his attitude changes and he becomes more dismissive of your concerns and project timeline. He works with young Inexperienced adults. He has no license to work with complex boilers. As per another plumber he installed a used boiler which had many missing parts. He doesn't know how to operate the machine just install it. Take a look at the horrible work. Mohammed hangs up on his customers and/or waits days to return your calls. Totally unprofessional. He does not keep you informed of the process or any changes in the Scope of Work (SOW). He is only concerned about the money, calling, and harassing the customer for payment even when the work is not completed. He left us without heat and said there was nothing he could do until the weather breaks or until we purchased pre-heaters to melt the waterlines in the walls.. totally unacceptable. His two young apprentices were very helpful and knowledgeable. They tried there best to rectify the issues their boss created. We appreciate their efforts. We ended up having to call a real plumber to come in and configure the new boiler and get it to work. Even the wiring to the boiler was installed incorrectly (as per the Department of Buildings inspector). The outside censor never installed as well. We paid thousands of dollars for a bad boiler install. Do not trust this guy.. You will regret it! I would not recommend this company for any boiler conversations or complex plumbing work. It's not worth it. Get someone who is truly licensed and not working under someone else license.

How are there no reviews yet? Got Pipes is THE BEST plumbing and heating service in the area…read morewithout question. My house has had spotty heat since I moved in, but I didn't own it until December 2021. As usual, the first very cold night of the year led to the heat going off, and I'd always called another local business for that problem. The other business would come out, tinker with the thermostat, charge me $225 and leave without fixing anything. A friend recommended Got Pipes, and number one, this company is very friendly and very responsive. I didn't realize how uncommon that was until I encountered it, and not having proper heat on cold days is the worst. So that's excellent. Second, on the very first visit, Eric came within like an hour and immediately explained the problem to me - that if the pipes froze, the heat would not work. In the dozens of visits from the company I used to use over the years, no one ever said anything about that. But I want to mention an experience that was really unusual. I had an inspector tell me I needed to lift up the boiler to pass an inspection, and he warned me it was costly. Once again, I called Got Pipes, Eric came out, and he insisted it was properly installed and that this was an unnecessary expense/risk. He even told me that if the inspector pressed it, to give the guy his number. The inspector DID press it, but the inspector's supervisor reviewed the finding and realized it was properly installed and already to code. I am so lucky I wasn't using the previous company, because it would have cost me a ton of money unnecessarily and likely would have required a complete replacement too. A month or so ago, I needed a vanity replaced and a tap fixed. Even though this was not an emergency, the vanity was outside and too heavy for me to move. And again, they came out really fast and installed the vanity and did an excellent job. (Pricing is insanely reasonable, from a person with not a lot of disposable income.) Being so new to owning a house, learning about and finding service people is difficult and scary, and often you don't know beforehand if initiating a service call has a baseline cost of a few hundred dollars (even if nothing is fixed). I'm no longer apprehensive about addressing problems/maintenance or replacing things, because plumbing and heating are such a big part of home maintenance and I know a great company can handle it.

In the end, we decided to go with Brian from In & Out Construction. That turned out to be a great choice, as the bathroom came out great and the price was fair. Admittingly, we are not the easiest customers to please, as this is our first home and we were looking for a high-end aesthetic (without breaking the bank). Brian and his crew are true professionals. Everything they promised, they delivered on...and then some. I was most impressed by Brian's attention to detail and diverse skill set (besides being a master electrician, there is nothing this man can't do!). My one slight criticism is that at times they were less than punctual. That said, the bathroom was completed ahead of schedule and the finished product was nothing short of spectacular, so I can forgive that. In today's environment it is difficult to find high-quality tradesmen who take pride in their work, but at the same time deliver value to people on a tight budget. Actually, we had such a positive experience with the bathroom (I will post some pics), we even called them back to install recessed lights in our living room. I know nothing about lights, but Brian gave us an education and helped select the right LEDs for our application (not an easy task considering all the variables...trim style, CRI, color temp, etc.). Overall, we're 100% satisfied with both projects and can't recommend them enough.
