I've been coming here for years now, until today I didn't think much about how this place swindles you out of money. About a month ago I came in here and bought some stuff and the clerk behind the counter offered me something for free and I didn't notice until after I left he actually charged me for it. Fast forward today, I went in to buy 3 of the same item, the guy asked me if I wanted to buy the 5 they had left and I said no 3 will be fine, he left 4 on the counter and tried to ring me up for all 4, I explained I only wanted 3 and that's when he started to give me an attitude, so I explained that this would be my last visit, at that point the man behind the counter called me a white piece of shit. No wonder why this place is never busy, they treat people like shit and try to get people to spend more money than they need too. There are plenty of other smoke shops in the neighborhood and I'm sure the service is better and most importantly cheaper, the prices in this store are outrageous and they should be ashamed. It makes a lot of sense that every time they sell something they have to take a picture of it, it wouldn't surprise me if the staff has been stealing from the owners for years. read more

Large selection in a small location. I was impressed by the amount of highend and low end smoking products. Cigarettes, cigars, glass products, hookahs (& parts) Vapes and oils. Service was good but the May not be able to always explain why one product is supirior to the next. This place is a COMPLETE RIP OFF. I passed by on my way to a friends house & decided to take a look inside for a replacement glass globe for my vape pen. Having broken and replaced quite a few of them, I knew what I was looking for and how much it should have cost. I asked if I could buy the glass separate (as I've done many times in other head shops) and he said yes, but proceeded to take the glass off of a full atmos unit and tried to sell it to me for $20. I told him that was double what I've ever paid anywhere else, and with that he physically took it out of my hand when it seemed I wasn't going to shell out the money. He then tried to sell me a complete unit for $35 until I saw the same product was marked a different price ($20) . This place is fishy. They seem more interested in price gouging & taking advantage of the uninformed than being honest and helpful. There are many MANY other smoke/head shops in the area, save yourself the cash & frustration. You've been warned. read more

The thing I like most about this place is that they sell Tangier's and Fumari shisha which are both better then Al Fakher and Starbuzz. There aren't many places in NY that carry these brands, at least that I've been to anyway. read more

This is a great place. I walked in knowing what I wanted and the price I was willing to spend. They matched it beautifully and their prices are comparable to online stores with the added value of having it right when you want it. My Vision Spinner 1300mah battery died and was only looking for a battery for $30 max. They found me an e-cig starter kit for $30 and to my surprise the battery was an excellent eGo 2200mah battery. My husband was doing a favor for a friend. He rushed in to buy a box of its a girl cigars. He was sold a damaged box. He was assured that the cigars were ok. He took their word for it. He paid $165.00 plus tax making It $180.00 plus $10.00 for a cigar cutter. Later we find out that the box online from a good website is only worth about $75.00. We find this very disturbing. Afterwards many other Astoria locals informed us that this store has a reputation for ripping people off. Sad since my husband was lived his whole life in Astoria. Himself and the friend that the cigars were for are well known in the area for being respected business people themselves. We figured that on Steinway there may have been a markup however more than double the retail price is not acceptable. Sad that this happened in our own community. We have tried to shop locally to support Steinway street. However this is not the first example of merchants thinking they can get one over on locals that have lived and made their livings in Astoria. read more

Everything there is all cheap glass! It's seriously not far off from plastic! None of the name brands are authentic! A real roor pipe has "made in germany" at the bottom. They just put stickers on cheap glass and call them the brand! I just spent 43 dollars on 3 extension pieces that literally just shattered the 1st time of use!
