This is my second review ( see my 7/18/2015 review), that being said, This shop is definitely STILL open, Google has a couple of links from Yelp that claim that the shop has been closed. NOT SO. Now that I've got just about 2 years since I've used tobacco have to say that City Vape Astoria is my favorite Vape shop in Queen and ranks very high against any vape shop in NY. The staff is usually very anxious to help out with whatever I'm looking for. I buy a lot of my mods and juices online but am beginning to use the better shops in the area like City Vape more often than companies just because they have a great selection of juice, good juice deals, the latest hot mods, all the best building materials, and is also a great place to chill out and chuck some clouds. One great thing about this shop is that every time I go there, usually there are several people either building, dripping, talking about vape related subjects, giving intermediate builders/vapers like myself practical advice etc. One last thing I'd like to mention is that this shop is an excellent place for a person new to vaping to start; the topics of battery safety, what starter mod is best, how to vape properly, subohm vaping etc etc I've heard covered. This is exactly how I was treated back in '15 when I finally committed to full time vaping and gave up cigs permanently. Whatever your experience with vaping and whatever type of device, tool, juice , building material or accessory, this is the best shop I've been to in Queens. I'd like to mention that prices on ejuice are also very good. This is the one vape shop in Astoria that I can't walk to easily and I've said and will keep saying it's worth the extra effort for me to get up there. read more

ordered a venty from city on a Tuesday. emailed city on Friday asking for shipping status. no response. called Monday and was told venty shipping that day would get tracking number next day. got nothing sent email no response. called Wednesday and was told shipping issues would try another warehouse. did offer refund option. Thursday: After 8 business days from order date still waiting for tracking number. city may have better pricing but service/custom communication is awful. if you want a reply from city don't email - must call and hope they actually do what they say. should have paid a little more and ordered from POTV. read more

Do not buy any merchandise from this company. You are better off spending the extra money and buying else where. This item is non-returnable and they have no intention on letting you know that unless you try to return it after you have already bought it. They are not capable of professionalism and do not have the capacity to communicate as an adult, never mind a business entitiy. Whoever owns this company should re-evaluate their employee roster and try to do better if they want to stay a float. There business is in such bad shape that they cannot afford to accept their "high end quality" products back even if they are unused. I have by far had the worst buying experience with this company website and would not recommend buying anything from them, not even a mouth piece. This company is incoherent and unable to provide even baseline customer service. Prepare to get ripped off and disrespected if you attempt to return anything of theres. Good luck to all future folks just looking to buy some leisure items for themselves. read more

Final edit: I got my refund and an apology, so he's willing to work with you if you have a legit issue and I did actually go and get that cart tested and I can confirm it's clear of cutters, solvents, and general weird shit. He's an honest guy, just do your research before you go Second edit: As the owner reached out in good faith and provided me with lab results (which should've been available publicly but I'll not nitpick anymore) and has offered me a refund, I've decided to change my review to 4 stars and I'll give him a chance to make it right by exchanging for the correct product if he'll allow me. I can tell the guy's trying his hardest and I'm not trying to bust his balls, I just don't want to inhale garbage. (Also yes Spiro just for that I will be posting bad reviews on those bodegas selling tainted stock even though I also won't be purchasing from them. Thank you for reminding me to keep it consistent for all business I pay patronage to) As a reply to to owner: I did attempt to contact you, both through your website and the phone number linked to this business prior to making this review. Your website was completely bare with only a phone that when called, no one answered and no one called back. I genuinely wanted to give the benefit of the doubt but you also sold me a vape that you told me came directly from a dispensary, but when I went home and looked up the company there was no records, no testing of any kind. I'm going off the word that the product I purchased was legitimate from the same person who was wrong about a 90$ piece of equipment that could easily been destroyed if I wasn't proactive. Considering I've been lied to twice, and when I tried to reach out I received no answer, I don't feel bad I wrote the review I did. Those 2 stars are only present because of the pleasant customer service I received when I walked in and nothing more. I went in looking for a dry herb vaporizer, came out with a Puffco for CONCENTRATES; he did not tell me these were for concentrates even though I asked specifically for a vaporizer for dry herb and had I not looked it up I could've ruined this 90$ device for literally nothing. I'm so disappointed, I'm going back to return my device. Spiro may be nice but with this as a first visit I'm already feeling pretty iffy, I'd look somewhere else if you have medical needs for dry herb vapes. read more

I did a quick search on yelp last month when I was staying with a friend in Astoria and forgot to bring my juice. I decided to check this place out based on all the glowing reviews and when I stopped in, I was even more impressed. Spiro is such a helpful and resourceful person. He was able to give me spot-on juice recommendations based on the flavors I liked. I picked up Fuzion Unicorn Blood, Space Jam Astro, and 3 City Vape juices. Started off with a small sample because I knew I would be back for more.... Like today. See you soon, Spiro!! read more

I've been to city vape many times since my original review and the staff has been ridiculously personable and friendly each time. Great location. 10/10 times I have found parking. And this is Astoria! Awesome little shop. Spiro, the owner is very kind and warming and most of all very knowledgeable. Great atmosphere. Friendly environment. When I first found the store, there was a small selection of juices but now he is constantly stocking up on great brands. Prices are reasonable and the owner, Spiro will welcome you by name. The man always has a smile on his face and is more than willing to go above and beyond for his customers. For example, I had a late night at work and have him a call and wanted to purchase some batteries for my mechanical mod/ e-cig and he got them ready and charged them for me before I had gotten there so I would be set for that late night at work. Go for a visit and you will not be disappointed. read more

Amazing service and products. Picked up some pods and juice. Daniel walked me through everything I needed to get started. Had an issue with one of the pods (no fault of City Vape) and they were able to fix it and get me going without any hiccup. I'm always inclined to support local small businesses. City Vape reminds me why. read more

I come from Staten Island to experience vaping and customer service at city vape. I've been to shops from Florida to NY and my best experience is this shop. Flavor tasting, rewicking, new builds, and everything in between this is the shop to come to. From the owner, the manager, and even new employees I am never disappointed with the service and the options. I bought a battery for my cartridge like 3 weeks ago. They guy specifically told me they just got those batteries; to bring back if anything. Here we go, is not working anymore; went there today and they don't want to give me options. The employee call the owner and he said to buy a new one. Really? I knew I should've bought this in Amazon. Very disappointed and thank you for loosing one customer; these days for small businesses that represent a lot. read more

Man, what a bummer it was from seeing all these 5-star reviews and actually going to this shop and being so disappointed. I headed to this place to get some e-juices and upgrade from my itaste vv 3.0. Shop was small and messy and that kind of suprised me from all the glowing reviews. You would think this place stood out from the other vape shops in NYC. I saw that the guy (looks like Mike Rowe) and girl (blonde) who were working the counter were a bit busy. The girl there told me take a menu and she would help me shortly. Customers left in 5 minutes and I was ready to order but both workers were busy vaping and working on what looks like their own devices and after making eye contact with both for a while to help me out I just had to leave. I was in there 25 minutes total and no one inquired what flavors I would want to try or even helping me in general. I spoke up twice but it fell on deaf ears. Experience was so lackluster I headed to BeyondVape in the city instead which is a 25 minute train ride. Not for nothing, they did have a decent selection of e-juices but what's the point if no one's gonna help you with that? Also their prices for vape pens and equipment was a bit on the expensive side. I'll stick to BeyondVape and Movapes in Brooklyn. Edit - Spiro, Just read your comments below and I understand your reply. I am very pro Queens businesses and based on my one experience at your shop I do find it unfair of me to say that some of your reviews were faked. I am removing that part right now. But coming from a customer standpoint you have to understand that as a Queens native I am trying to find a vape store very close to home and my first experience at your store was not good and I already listed why. To make matters worse is that I had to travel out of Queens and into Manhattan to get what I needed to get. All my reviews are based on my objective and subjective experiences at different places I visit and I am honest with each and every one. I do believe things can happen and maybe I dropped in on a "bad" day, but I still believe after the customers had left I could have gotten some help because i'm still trying to quit smoking and still fairly new to vaporization (3 weeks). I hope you use this review to help fine tune things at your shop and make it grow. GL. read more

Finally, a good quality vape store in my neighborhood run by an extremely knowledgeable and passionate owner. All your vaping, E-cigs, E-liquids (and everything in between) needs are well met here. I'm serious this guy knows everything. The store is new so not many people heard about it (YET!). Be prepared to sample the finest e-liquid flavors and see the finest hardware, like clearomizer tanks, batteries and atomizers. This guy is a hobbyist and he has the newest stuff, no junk that they sell in the bodegas. He carries a brand of e-liquid called Baker White (when you visit the store they are the little white bottles, American Made) and it is the best e-liquid I ever had. There is a flavor called "Mellon Baller" which tastes something like an apple martini with melon and this cinnamon flavor tastes exactly like Big Red gum. You can also select various nicotene amounts (from no nicotene up to 18mg - 24mg which are more for regular smokers) Awesome! I myself have been vaping for about 9 months. Quit smoking completely thanks to this new vaping movement. Get up on it now and go to this store right off the corner from Broadway, next to WineGasm. Remember you can sample flavors no pressure to buy anything. Happy Vapes. PS, to Yelp: This is NOT a fake review and yes this is a NEW account, so obviously it is my first review, and I don't post many reviews. read more

I just checked out this shop. It's nice to finally have a Vape store in the area. The shop features a variety of products, from electronic cigarettes and atomizers, and a myriad of nicotine flavors. I am not a smoker and I have never used an e-cig. I walked into City Vape to ask a lot of questions which Spiro was happy to answer. Spiro has a great wealth of knowledge about e-cigs, vaping, mods, and technical things outside of the beginner e-cig smoker. I wanted to ask about a 0 nicotine setup for pretty much portable flavored smoke. He gave me a whole bunch of resources and explained a lot of technical things I need to research. Spiro is also very concerned about user safety and using e-cigs as an alternative to cigarettes and a quitting tool. His intentions are there, and I hope the best for his shop. It's small, but a perfect size and with a great range of flavors, parts, and starting kits. Stop in and have a chat, he'll make sure you're taken care of! read more

Since it was my first time inquiring about vaping, I was pretty nervous to even go in because I felt so out of my element. Chris and Gabriel made my boyfriend and I feel so comfortable and welcome. Chris really took his time explaining everything to me and answering ever question I had. He also did it with a smile on his face so I wasn't so hesitant to ask important questions. He left me try all the flavors I asked about, specially since I'm already an indecisive person to begin. They have an amazing selection of products and flavors. After I purchased everything, Chris gave me a bunch of pointers and even helped me set up my kit so I would know how to do it going forward. Amazing service and very knowledgable staff. I can't wait to come back. Definitely going to tell my friends about this place who are looking to quit smoking cigarettes just like me. read more

The guy who helped me answered my billions of questions and got me all set up and ready to go and they had the exact vaporizer I was looking for as well as so many amazing juice flavors. City Vape - Check out this delicious ziggy starburst cloud! - Vape Shops Near Me - Astoria, New York

One of the best vape shops in NYC. Moved to the neighborhood earlier this year, and they'd just opened a couple weeks prior. Before that I was all the way down in Bay Ridge and commuting up to Henley every week for juice and coils, because I dug the vibes there. I couldn't imagine becoming loyal to a different shop, but City Vape has become my go-to. Firstly because I live two blocks away, and secondly because every single dude working there is knowledgable and cool as Hell. They stock almost every good juice imaginable, and keep their juice menu up-to-date. What I like most is their constant discounts--always sending me 15% for this, 20% for that, etcetera. One of the homies there just came back from a vape conference in Cali, so clearly they're invested in keeping up with the happenings of the culture. If you're in Queens and looking a top-notch locally-owned vape shop with a down to earth clientele + ill vibes, look no further! read more

I love this place. The prices are right and it's important to do business locally. I lost my Provari and was sold on my new Vaporshark DNA, which I absolutely love. Finally, a vape shop in Astoria. I quit smoking back in August of 2012, smoked the crappy ecigs that I bought at the newsstands (Logic, Eonsmoke) and never felt satisfied. A friend of mine turned me on to vaping, and I was satisfied with it. I am glad that Spiro opened City Vape, right here in the neighborhood, because it is convenient for me, especially if I run out of juice, or I need supplies. He is very helpful and knowledgeable about vaping and products. I highly recommend City Vape and I even passed the word on to a few other people who live in the neighborhood and want to make the switch from analog cigarettes to electric ones. read more

As a neophyte vaper/vapor/one-who-vapes, I was a bit intimidated walking in for the first time. While the room smells delicious and looks sparklingly clean (the exact opposite of the ashtray apartments that I lived and smoked away in during my college years) I don't know a mod from a tank, or the different levels of nicotine in a juice, or the sizes and wattage of different coils, etc. Sitting along the bar-like setup, I was definitely nervous that the regulars who came here to hang out would be on to me. Lucky for me, the guys working here, and even the couple of other patrons I've talked to, are super friendly and made me feel welcome. I'm certain that my newness showed through but they seemed nonplussed in helping to correct me in asking for products that I have no idea about without making me feel stupid. I love that I get text messages with special coupons and alerts (I signed up for that, they are not just spamming customers as far as I know), and they run a pretty nice IG account that I can see when they get new products and juice flavors. I'm giving 4 stars because I haven't been into other vape shops, so I don't have anything to know just how much next-level better than others they actually are (I really want to imagine that they are - please don't hold this against me!). I'm going to keep my eyes out and pop in to some other shops as I can so that I can drop a future update to my review and give what I think is probably a well-deserved 5th star. What I can say is that City Vape has been so good to me, I can't imagine wanting to go anywhere else. Quitting smoking is hard and City Vape is a good spot, with good people making it a little bit easier. read more

I am a newbie at the whole Vape thing. I walked in there today as per a recommendation from a friend in Astoria. I told the employee I am a newbie at it and would need all the info on how this works and he was very patient and helpful. I bought my first starter kit and was given samples and I picked the one I liked. Employee was very honest and helpful in every way possible. I've been to a ton of a vape shops in New York and this is by far the best one I've ever been too. Spiro, Vlad, and Mike are awesome and their knowledge of the industry is astronomical. The variety of products and juices is great and the QUALITY of their products are a clean 10/10. I have bought many devices and juices from here and I have never been let down once. One thing that is extremely important to me when shopping in a business is the way employees treat their customers. You can sit and try any flavors you want. With so many different flavors out there it's hard to tell what you will like before you try it. They have EVERYTHING you need. I walked in there doing my research, and bought EVERYTHING there and left very happy with what I got. The workers there were so nice, and the seating area is a good size to bring a few friends and just Vape, this is the only place I will go to shop. Looper is also another good flavor. What a place! I get in there and there was a girl cleaning the door, she gave us a dirty look and then opened the door, then we ask her some questions about some new juices and she made us feel like we bothering her or inconveniencing her, all I can say is ill NEVER go back there again, her co-worker on the other hand was a pretty cool guy, I believe he was wearing a red shirt, nice kid! Oh and to add to the disappointment I had asked the women helping us if they had "space jam-star ship one" and she snappily and coldly said no, what happens when I look over in the "50% off bin"? I of course find it. Lol. while looking at my receipt I realized she charged me full price, but I let it go because I just wanted to leave! And ON TOP OF ALL THAT, she got snippy AGAIN, when I gave her my card saying it wasn't working (the mag strip) so I said "can you put it in manually? (Putting the card number in)" and she didn't seem to like that to much because the attitude came out yet again I recommend you try VaporMax it's a bit of a drive and its out in Long Island, but the people are very nice and helpful! When it's busy it's a little annoying because they take a while to get to you, but when they do they take their time, and help you so it's worth the wait! Jeez, I friggin love this shop. I hate that it's in Astoria since I'm in Flushing, but it's always worth the drive. The selection is vast and every employee with whom I've engaged with was nothing short of courteous, knowledgable and sociable. I've been here a few times now, most recently yesterday. I was looking for some grape e-liquid because I love the flavor of purple, and I struck metaphoric gold with their in-house liquid. Odds are, you'll find cheaper prices for hardware online; that's not a knock on CV, that's just how it is in this day and age. While I may never purchase a mod from them, I'll always be there for my liquid and accessory needs. That being said, their hardware prices are actually pretty fair, so if you want to try something out firsthand and not have to deal with delivery times, CV is the place to go. I don't recall the name of the employee who assisted me, but she epitomized excellent customer service. I told her what I was looking for, and she let me sample all of their grape flavors. I ended up picking up three bottles of their in-house selection (total of 90 mL for $40!) because the flavor was everything I wanted--it was the perfect amount of purple. Thanks for always being great, and thank you to the associate enjoying his chinese food for offering me some when I commented on how good it looked. I know I declined your offer, but it was very kind and hilarious of you to ask me if I wanted some lunch. read more

On top of that he is a really cool guy willing to teach you and take the time to make sure you get exactly what you want. Just yesterday (my second visit to the store) I tried at least 30 flavors. He sat there, one by one, suggesting new flavors and levels of nicotine. I wish I was able to find this type of customer service anywhere else. Lastly and most importantly, my unit is amazing.
