I was disappointed with the service I received from Concept-1 last month. I had to tow my Westfalia…read moreto them because of transmission problems. The assessment I got the next day was that the transmission had to be rebuilt or replaced. They didn't say directly but skirted around the fact that they didn't want to do the job and they didn't have any referrals of someone who would do the job. They essentially said that I should pull my vehicle from their shop, have it towed back to my house and start looking for a new mechanic. I found one who came to my house, took one quick look and said "There's no transmission fluid in here!" We went and got some tranny fluid, put it in, and the vehicle was operational again. It still needed work on the transmission but at least the most basic and fundamental step was taken to address the problem - put fluid in. I don't know why Concept-1 would not have done that nor how they could have made a proper assessment of the transmission problem without fluid in it! I won't be trusting them with my vehicle again.

He installed it using my ebike and made the adjustments and got me to hands on do everything so that when I was on my own I knew exactly how it all worked. I returned today to ask another question and he demonstrated for me. It was such an awesome customer service experience. 10/10 highly recommend! Kudos to Darren!!

I have to admit that I was disappointed to find that nothing had been fixed, including the squealing from the idler bearing or the a/c compressor. The squeal was heard by your staff and the tech that worked on the vehicle. I fact the tech came to investigate it in the parking lot before I had left and after I had paid my bill. I was told that the a/c system had been over-charged. Are you able to tell me what the pressure was upon the initial testing? I also wonder why the refrigerant that came out of my system was not re-installed to the correct pressure. My a/c was blowing cold air and the refrigerant was fairly new. Can you tell me what the system was charged too? As far as the blower problem goes, I have noticed no change there either. The blower fan comes on and it appears there is a loose connection at the ECU on the a/c unit. I'm wondering how you might be able to help me out as I'm not all that pleased with where things are at. Jeff Re: Jeff Toffin Invoice # 140054 August 27, 2926 Hello Sam, I am writing to ask you to repair the hood damage on my 1962 Sub resto-mod caused by the new idler pulley dust cover flying into the hood after the three machine screws holding the cover to the idler pulley were incorrectly torqued by the service tech allowing it to fly off striking the underside of the hood and passenger-side inner fender-well. I recall hearing a very large bang roughly two days following the idler pulley replacement your shop performed. At the time of the unexpected and unusually loud bang I assumed I had driven over something fairly large. It wasn't until I was washing the vehicle for the first time since the loud bang that I noticed and photographed the hood and inner fender damage documenting the incident. It is easy to visualize the sharp edge of the dust cap as the cause of the dent, on what once was a very well maintained and nearly blemish free hood on my show car. I suspect you will not contest and have business insurance for unfortunate circumstances such as these. I would appreciate a written response to my request for full compensation for the costs associated with the damage and inconvenience of needing to have the repair in the first place. Had my 2017 F-150 XLT into a reputable Ford Dealership 3 times in one week to figure out why my…read moreEngine Coolant-High Temperature light was still coming on despite them replacing all the Radiator Hoses, thermostat and water pump. $2500 later, I was informed that possible Piston Head and/or Cylinder block compromise was evident because coolant was entering the combustion chambers but not fully diagnosed and it would be advised to purchase a new truck and they would give me a $8,000 trade-in for a vehicle with 173,000 klms on it. Left the dealership with my vehicle and talked to many people on this issue and the truck had a previous market value of $31,000 ( full leather decked out) but possible new engine for $20,000 might be needed. Called Cetus and got a diagnostic appointment set up. Turns out Head Gasket needed replaced, two piston heads got cleaned and machined up, timing chains re-adjusted, New Fazers needed, all coolants and fluids redone so including parts worth $7,300 and labour of $4,600, all in for $13,000. includes a 1 year - 20,000 klm warranty Truck is absolutely operating like brand new. Cetus Auto Shop took me through everything on the diagnostics and actually came in a $1,000 less than the quote. They kept me up to date on the 6 days they had the vehicle and the experience was the best I have every had when it comes to an auto repair. I am a bit of a car junkie as I have restored 2 vehicles but totally impressed how they delivered the information, their concerns and their solutions! Cetus gets it's on how to treat your clients! looking forward to getting another 4 years out of the truck!

Rather than just grabbing air, I thought I'd stop in at a garage and get air AND a re-torque. I went into the office and their first question for me was, "did we do the rim change?" No.. "then you need to go there to do the work". I had kids in the back seat and a super low tire that needed air.. they sent me on the road like that.. knowingly. Because they hadn't done the rim change..dangerous, petty. Ridiculous. Re-torquing lug nuts has never been a difficult thing for me to get done at a random garage I'm driving by. Air.. that's a safety thing. Shame. I will NEVER recommend this garage. Very petty. Would have take 5 minutes tops.
