Padded bill!! We work close to this restaurant. We regularly order lunch from there although not frequently. It is often incorrect. Today I was up charged for french fries I didn't order. Such a bad experience I downloaded this app just to leave this review. Every item was $5 more than anything on the website, Facebook, apps. Card reader wasn't working and thank god for that because if I used the card it was 120ish and after I pulled cash out for a fee it was 100ish. And all this after an 1.25 hour wait for the food. I used to like this place. Been there multiple times, and usually enjoyed it. And I understand to a point the raising of the prices but no updating it isn't acceptable and the random 20% that wasn't a tip at least a willing one isn't either. read more

Sometimes you have to look for that one thing that makes in a Stabley sheen a five star recommendation. This is that place. We found it using Yelp as we were traveling through Herkimer in a little strip mall. It doesn't have much of a storefront but the food was out of this world. Most of the time, Food is my number one criticism when it comes to handing out stars. I snapped pictures of the menu, and decided to go with their recommendation which was a prime rib sandwich for lunch. My colleague ordered the bacon and bleu burger which was also another recommendation. Plenty of TVs to keep your interest while waiting for the food. It's a "ale" place. The food came out and I'm attaching pictures of their prime rib sandwich and bacon bleu burger. Plenty of food and I will admit the prime rib sandwich was the best I've ever had. Kudos to the chef. My colleague told me that the bacon bleu burger was awesome. I had to go up and tell the waiter and he told me he was waiter cook and dishwasher. This place could be on diners dives and drive-ins. Parking was plenty full bathroom was clean the place had a rustic look to it just one of those diners that you have to visit if you're going to Herkimer. Came here on a recommendation, was the worst experience I've had on my vacation!!! The bartender/cook really could care less we were their! Was to worried about talking to the regulars and he up and coming vacation. The barback was no help either unless you were his canned beer at the other end of the bar. Two other gals came in shortly after we had placed our order. He came around telling them he couldn't really help unless it was beer. I mean could of at least offered to grab them water while they waited for the gent to come out after he had finished "cooking". I got the Mac n Cheese Bacon Burger & Garlic Waffle Fries. The meat on the burger was cooked well but that's all I can say that was good about that burger, from moment I cut it the burger started to fall apart! Bacon was not fresh, mac n cheese was meh. This place has gone way down hill since they opened, I am a wing person & these where over cooked & terrible last few times I came in.., No winning wings as advertised. The bar tender seemed interested in impressing male visitors rather then filling our beers.
