It was $125 but I had to do that to register and then the class didn't have enough people in it so they cancelled the summer reading course yet wouldn't respond to my emails to refund my assessment fee. This place is only about taking money from homeschooling families and trying to make a profit. Major cringe.

While most homeschool groups have parents trade off instruction, Compass offers classes taught by professional teachers or experts in the field. From a homeschool orchestra to language study to science and technology classes and cooking, there's really something for just about every interest. I also appreciate that there's some flexibility in enrollment - kids within a range of ages/ grade-levels can be together as their skills and interests permit. And the folks in the administration are busy but always helpful.

Our family is so grateful that we found the MPC Early Learning Center. We searched throughout the…read morearea for a nurturing play-based program and we found it here. My son had primarily been at home with me prior to starting preschool, so I was especially concerned about socialization. The school has a large outdoor playground and indoor playground equipment for rainy days. The kids get tons of physical activity as well as time to imagine and role-play and learn how to get along with one another. The classrooms have lots of different centers and educational toys that promote fine motor and problem-solving skills. They do LOTS of hands-on activities and crafts as well as circle time and show-and-tell. The learning is so organic. The kids are relaxed and having fun while learning all the things they will need to have a great start in kindergarten. The director is one of the most positive and energetic people I've ever met. She promotes tons of fun, kid-friendly activities and events. She has been a part of the school since her now-grown children were students there. I was also impressed by how long so many of the teachers have been there. All together, they create a wonderful and supportive environment for the kids. I've also loved getting to know the other families who are part of the school. From the Christmas program to a parent/child dance to the spring art show to the trike-a-thon, there are so many exciting things to do as a family that give us a chance to experience the school, and the fun, along with our son. We are thrilled with our choice and we look forward to being a part of the school with both of our kids.
