Since they moved to their new location on #79 Sandpit and were absorbed by Nuvance Health, I think Nuvance has directed them to at least have the appearance of treating patients better. There are stars, flowers, rainbows, and positive words on the walls of the waiting room. That probably helps transfer some positive vibes to the staff. The staff was good with me, the check-out woman seemed to have trouble deciphering her computer screens, but the check-in people were great. read more

Appears as though there is major lack of training for administrative positions. Been a patient for 6 years, but the last 3 have made life worse as opposed to better, so moving on to another doctor associated with a different organization that is inconveniently located, but doesn't have all the complaints of this office. read more

Was not impressed. This used to be the best practice in Danbury. This doctor walked in the room, asked me why I was there when I explained to him why he pretty much ignored what I told him and basically dismissed whatever I said, demanded testing and more information from the hospital, which, he is able to get without any problem. It used to be up to the doctors office to have the patient sign a release form and they take care of getting all of the information. This is the WORST medical practice I have ever been to. Please, people, take the reviews seriously. I have been a patient for a year or so. I have had this test and that test and new office visits and follow up office visits etc. NOTHING has come of any of them. When I question this, I am told we have to take one thing at a time. I have spent thousands of dollars and no closer to a solution. Oh my god, do yourself a favor and RUN. This practice is not interested in solutions and they are not a serious practice. You literally can never get through when you call to make an appointment. Most recently, an automated message at the beginning of my call said I had 3 callers ahead of me. A half hour later, I'm still on hold. Ridiculous! And this happens every time - you have to wait on hold for 45 min to an hour before a receptionist answers. So unprofessional and frustrating, makes me want to find a new practice. read more

I would not recommend bringing yourself or anyone you care about to the office. The priority in this office is MONEY---They are taking it from Big Pharma and meals, and financial incentives are offered to these doctors constantly and they take them. EVERYONE in the office is fed three meals a day by the pharmaceutical companies. I have sat in the waiting room at various times of the day and watched food and beverages come off the elevator by the cartload and then be distributed to the staff. THey simply have no scruples. I was scheduled for an appointment with Dr. Greco several times and, instead, with no notice was seen by a Physician Assistant or a nurse. Of course I was billed for seeing Dr. Greco. They have a great system going in terms of lining their wallets but you will not receive patient centered care. Phone calls are not returned at all. there is no communication. You, no matter what your condition, must come in for an appointment so money can be collected. I never felt like I had Dr. Greco's attention as he stared at his computer during my whole 10 minute appointment. One thing they love to do in this office is order tests...no matter how unnecessary. This also helps their bottom line. I had so many unnecessary tests and appointments. Once I realized that there was no real help, consideration or common decency to be had at this factory assembly line of an office, I went to a local neurologist in solo practice. the difference is like night and day. the receptionists are kind and considerate. Each phone call is answered and returned and the doctor will answer questions and listen to concerns by phone rather than having you come in so you can pay for an appointment when it is truly not needed in those cases. Please avoid this office and read what other reviewers have taken the time to say. It is done to prevent other patients from being ripped off and treated disrespectfully never mind being taken advantage of with all the testing that is not needed. My new neurologist confirmed that all the testing they insisted on was not warranted in my case. It certainly helps them pay off their equipment though. This is medical "care" at the lowest. there are good neurologists who care--just make the effort to find one. This is a money machine of an office and you are an innocent patient who will be taken advantage of without realizing it. Shameful. read more

If you live in the Danbury area, I recommend driving an extra 30-60 minutes to receive a higher quality of care. Go to Yale Neurology Associates in New Haven, or make the drive into New York. Wow - I don't even know where to start. I still can't believe I went through this it was surreal. Last summer my mother was placed in Danbury hospital and was told the attending neurologist would be Dr. Mashman from Assoc. Nueroligists Physical Therapy. I soon found out by asking around that he was not very well respected and not considered very good. I had mentioned my concern to the head nurse and they replaced him with someone straight from hell. As we spoke to him, it dawned on me that this guy was smiling because he thought he was the best thing since sliced bread. He quickly made clear that we knew nothing and whatever we had to say was ridiculous. Why? Because we had been, and I quote, googling information which it seemed in his mind was an utterly ridiculous idea. He laughed at us when we said that we had been looking things up on WebMD trying to figure out what could have happened to my mother. This arrogant little prick, sorry, treated us with utter disrespect. He spoke over my mother about her illness as if she wasn't in the room, and yelled out her last name into her face when he wanted to wake her up. When we asked for an MRI he tried his best to dissuade us and when we were persistent. He said, "fine if you want me to stick her head in the tube, we'll do that". At this point I was raging, I could barely contain myself and was very tempted to throw him out of the 9th floor window. Believe me, it took all of my self-restraint to stop myself. When he left I was shaking. I immediately told the nurse that I did not want him within a mile of my mother. We felt that he brought absolutely nothing to the table in terms of diagnosis, ideas, positive hope. But he did bring his stupid little bow tie and arrogant attitude. I would steer clear of this whole group because I've picked up that there is a certain negative under current in their office culture that seems to exist throughout the practice. I will be filing a major complaint at Danbury Hospital and question the wisdom of the hospital to hire such a know nothing creature. I would not trust this neurology group to diagnose my pet frog - never mind a human being. Steer clear and be warned! UPDATE: I'm happy to report a few days later we were lucky enough to have an excellent hospitalist visit my mother. Within 10 minutes of speaking with the doctor, he had an idea of what my mother may have based on the symptoms. He brought in a rheumatologist and confirmed the prognosis. My mother was healed once placed on some medication. Obviously, neither doctor was from Associated Neurologists of Danbury. They suck. read more

I tried speaking with someone in billing and the woman didn't know what she was talking about, told me my insurance company will send me a check to cover the balance. What?? Complete scam artists in my humble opinion . As previous reviewers have stated in my opinion this a poorly run rude almost criminally bad practice. I think I called before my appointment to speak to a sleep specialist, and as i remember I was quoted a fee of $200 since the practice was not in network for me. Upon arrival I was greeted by in my opinion the rudest front office staff I have ever encountered and a clipboard was thrown in my face with little regard. Afterward I shuffled to a young sleep specialist who in my opinion was of little to no help and talked to me for about 20 minutes before recommending me to the people downstairs. At this point it was in my opinion the biggest waste of $200 dollars however I would never written a review if my personal experience had ended here. Upon walking out to the front office staff to pay my bill I was given a bill of $440!! Over double what I was I quoted on the phone! I have never gotten so upset at a front office staff and paid only the $200 I was quoted on the phone which they seemed to agree to at the time. However I was billed the other $240 after I left and only paid when I was threatened with a collections letter. In my opinion I would advise any patients looking for a neurologist to avoid this practice at all costs. read more

I've been a patient with this office for 7 years. The first three were when I was in high school and my mom usually took care of making the appointments and taking me to them, etc. since I was a minor at the time. Once I graduated high school I obviously started to go by myself since I was now of legal age to do so. They're usually pretty good with making appointments, if a doctor is unavailable they will help you make one with a PA (this point being almost the only reason why my review is getting more than one star). If I need an extra script for some reason before my next appointment they're good about getting me one as well. I'm usually also in and out within 15-20 minutes when I have an appointment, which is nice. However, I work for Disney and understand to a point how Customer Service should be handled. First off, when you call their number it lists off a long list of different options (which don't go in numerical order), and although the many options are helpful it takes me 5 minutes just to get through the menu. This morning, I had an appointment at 10:15- my alarm never went off and I woke up at 10:30. While I understand that part is my fault, I called them right away to see if I could either still come to the appointment, but late, or have my doctor just write me the scripts I needed and I would pick them up and call it a day. They agreed to write me scripts and sent a message to the doctor, but only after directing me to a number where nobody picked up and I had to call back, and a second time where I had to even talked to the scheduler. The person who agreed on writing the scripts said they'd give me a call back in a little while. About 20 minutes go by, I get another call from them- to have it be another scheduler to call me about the missed appointment and try to schedule another appointment, which I had already been over with another scheduler. So it looks like this office has some major communication issues. You also seem to have to schedule your appointment at least 3 months in advance to get one with a doctor. I should also mention that they also had charged me for the full appointment/non insurance price for an appointment I had back in November of 2016, around the time I was switching insurance companies. In which they did not notify me of the $200+ I owe until several months afterwards. What they should have done is tell me at the time of the initial appointment that the insurance hadn't gone through, and not take my co-pay from me. I do recommend that if you decide to visit this facility, to visit Dr. Yorns, because he is a good doctor and it's not his fault that the office has so many problems. Otherwise your best bet is to find another office. read more

Well come to find out they would not treat me anymore even though I have been a patient in the past but not consistently. They said since it's been 4 years they literally just canceled my appointment for me 1 day before I was supposed to go! I never heard back. Called left voicemail. Never heard back Called again was told that they would not make an appointment for me because in 2017 I had canceled a few appointments. I transferred my care from a large inner city hospital to this tiny practice when I moved to Danbury. Having had migraines since the age of 5, and documented difficulty finding meds to control them, dr. Bonwetsch did nothing to try to help, apart from sitting behind his desk and suggesting that I need to "relax more and work less." Ha. If only. The best yet was when I called in crisis because I had taken all of my rescue meds and needed advice (hoping to avoid the ER...) and the consultant just treated me like an idiot, saying, you don't even know what meds you're on? (Understanding that they've been switched so much, and rarely does dr. b ever tell me what I'm being switched to...) then promptly lecturing me that I've taken too many of my meds, after which she said, "well, the doctor has left for the day, he will maybe call you tomorrow." As someone who has already begun considering transferring, this puts the icing on the cake - I've had a headache for more than 24 hours, what good is calling me in the am when I've been sick and miserable for more than a day? Won't be seeing him or anyone in the practice again. read more

Dr. Greco (and this entire office-- including all levels of staff) are taking money, gifts, meals, etc from pharamceutical companies. His speaking fees alone are outrageous and then the patient is given the medication he is being paid to speak about. When I took my elderly parent here, the main point was unecessary tests. I know this since I now go to a solo neurologist who did not order anything ridiculous. We were not pressured to have every little thing tested since it was not relevant nor would it have given any helpful information regarding treatment. It is a completely different experience including how wonderful our new neurologist's office staff is. Steer clear of Associated Neurologits. Dr. Greco did not return a single phone call in all the years we went there and completely ignored my visit to the office to give him x-rays that another doctor said I should have him look at. Completely ignored! The appointments were sometimes scheduled as being with Dr. Greco and instead my parent was seen by a Physician Assistant and charged for a visit with the doctor. At other times, she was seen by a nurse when her appointment was made with the doctor. Money is his driving force. Period. You are unimportant and so are the family members who care about you. A complete disgrace. This is not good medicine or the way to treat patients. Just calling this office is a joke. Why would a neurology office have a phone answering menu consisting of so many items? A very healthy person would have trouble navigating a phone call with this office. read more

Wishing i had seen these reviews before I decided to go here, as they all make sense after experiencing this practice. It is nearly impossible to get in contact with your doctors, of whom i had Dr. Habibi, who i only met or heard from once in nearly six months. It took them literal months to get the results of an MRI back to me, which they only sent an abbreviated summary of with absolutely no follow up. They seem to be shooting in the dark when it comes to my prescriptions, as they change frequently without any conversations with my actual doctor, or without much input from me. Would not recommend this practice for anything, as it is seemingly the administrations issue and not the individual doctors. read more

They never notified me - even though they said they DID via mail that they don't take cigna anymore. I made an appt with a new Neurologist and they were worried because Dr.Culligan wouldnt provide me with medication (i have a seizure disorder so Keppa) until the EARLIEST POSSIBLE APPT which is April 26th. The woman I spoke with on the phone said that Dr. Culligan wont be there until Monday (which is already unacceptable considering its Wednesday) and I only have 6 days left of meds. I said my new doctor is worried and asked that you please provide me with Keppra until my next doctor visit. She responded with, "Well... you're going to end up in the Emergency Room." I am already freaking out because I have close to no meds left. Mind you, I went to pick up my meds and they only gave me two weeks of it and said to call Dr. Culligan. It's because they arent taking cigna anymore and because I haven't been seen in over a year. My new doctor doesnt even understand how they have been providing medicine to me without getting in touch about making a new appt. The woman also said when taking down my new doctors info " well.. you can still come here. You'll just have to pay." You just said im going to end up in the ER why would I ever want to come back here, and I HAVE INSURANCE. I would have looked for a new neurologist SO long ago if I knew you guys stopped taking mine! She said "Theres too many phone numbers to call." I've got calls from them before and I would have regarded mail from my doctor if I received it in the mailbox! I am a former patient of Courtney Kennedy (neurologist PA) and Michelle DiBona (physical therapy) and they are so amazing. I suffer from awful migraines and neck pain, and Courtney and Michelle worked together to come up with the best plan for me. They recently stopped taking my insurance which breaks my heart, but I am so grateful for all of their help. I find doctor yorn to be incredibly rude, I went with my little one this afternoon as she was being evaluated for her seizures, during the visit he accused me of having an "attitude" excuse me sir, but no one goes to you for anything good! Went to this office and thought I was going to better service but found out otherwise. Dr Markind scheduled me for tests I had done three months prior which I refused. I asked him to tell me why I all the sudden got Epilepsy and said I needed the overnight test for $714 which I refused. The man has no personality and is a cold person. Also not up front with relevant information that is important, why do I go here?. Front desk is rude and they push you through. I advise anyone who cares about their health and wants to be treated like a human being to steer clear of this entire office. I have never been treated so rudely and with such a complete lack of compassion and ethics in my life. My parent (who has rapidly advancing dementia) was a highly respected and revered member of an important profession. Now my parent has dementia and other physical concerns and we saw Dr. David Greco and years later Dr. Samuel Markind. Dr. Greco would not return any of my phone calls and he ignored the x-rays that my other parent hand delivered to him from another doctor. Dr. Greco did not contact my parent nor did he contact the doctor who wanted him to look at the x-ray of their mutual patient. At times my parent was scheduled for an appointment with Dr. Greco and showed up and was then told they would see a Physician Assistant instead---with not notice. She was billed both times for a doctor visit. Dr. Markind saw my parent when I decided we needed a different doctor than Greco. I should have left the entire practice but her records were there. Dr. Markind saw my parents when I drove them there during a blizzard. All of his other patients had cancelled their appointments that day. Then the office twice cancelled an appointment for neuropsychological testing due to an impending snowstorm. They did, however, ask us to come in two hours after they called in order to fill their schedule. We had to cancel an appointment (which we did within 24 hours) due to illness. Next my parent (who is unable to walk to the mailbox, never mind open and read a letter), received a letter from Dr. Markind stating that he was dropping her as a patient. The letter also stated that she was not to contact Associated Neurologists to use their "services" again. She was literally banned from the practice. This is a blessing in disguise and we now see a wonderful, caring neurologist who is in solo practice. This office is a horror show. If you call, you wait through a long list of "menu options" which I find laughable since few neurological patients or elderly people can actually listen to a list of options, remember the options and then make the choice of what to do to get their party on the phone. No one, and I mean no one in any of the departments, answers the phone and I have years of experience calling this office. Do not ever expect a doctor to return a call. I called Dr. Greco when I found my parent on the floor. My call was never returned. I am taking the time to write this review in the hope that someone can learn from my experiences and prevent themselves and loved ones from similar bad experiences. There are secretaries and physicians and physical therapists who care about you as a person and will honor you and your elderly loved one. This is not one of those offices. They should all be ashamed of themselves as professionals and as human beings. read more

Last year, I had difficulty breathing. Previous to that I was fatigued and I had a few ignored signs that later I learned were related to a final diagnosis. I had a little trouble swallowing and chewing sometimes. Walking was difficult and I just felt so tired. I assumed it was age and weight related after many tests came back fine. In May of last year (2016) I went to an ENT for yet another test. My husband and I had lunch and enjoyed a beautiful day. That evening he walked into the kitchen and just dropped on the floor. He died so suddenly and I was traumatized. My breathing difficulty increased and my head was so heavy, I could not hold it up. MY PCP gave me anxiety pills and they did not help. It seemed that if I sat still, I would recover, but upon exertion I could not breathe. Then I started the double vision. I went to an eye doctor to learn my eyes were healthy. Really? I was so healthy and day by day I was failing. Since I have sleep apnea, I slept with a cpap, which was a positive thing. I believed that it was my grief that was taking its toll on me. I was so depressed and each day I was getting worse. By mid October, I could not drive. I could not walk without assistance. My vision was maddening. I thought I was dying and I was just ready to go. When I saw my PCP for a follow up, He was mystified by my symptoms. He suggested the neurologist, Dr. Markham. When I called for an appointment, the date was way into December. I tried to explain that this was serious, but the office girl did not really care. That is the only negative thing I have to say. I called my PCP to intervene and an appointment was made for November 1. When I saw Dr. Markham, he thought I was suffering from PTSD, and I agreed that was a real possibility. He wondered if it could be Myasthenia and ordered a blood test. The next day, I was notified that I did indeed have Myasthenia Gravis, a rare muscle weakening disease. It is not curable, but it is treatable. I of course googled it and OMG. I had all of the symptoms and I was lucky I did not go into crisis with the labored breathing. Dr Markham referred me to Dr Culligan, who specializes in MG. He is so kind and he listens to everything I say. He ordered infusions and I take high risk medication, but I am doing well. I am learning how to manage the disease. I belong to an online support group and I have learned how difficult MG is to diagnose and also there is no simple treatment. I feel fortunate to have Dr Culligan as my neurologist. read more

Unfortunately, I don't have too much better to say about this medical practice beyond what the other reviewer has written here. True, they order tests and doctors do need to run some tests but I think that they go overboard and that they are "test happy"--Dr. Markind wanted me to go for a MRA of my neck even though he told me that it was 99% likely NOT to show a problem! I just had a MRI of my brain and that's enough testing for now. I can size people up pretty well and they were practically smiling at me when they tried to twist my arm and talk me into the second test. that MRA. True, there is a very, very slight chance that there may be something wrong but if 99% chances say that nothing else is wrong with me I think they are probably just pushing tests and trying to frighten me into an unnecessary test. In addition, the front desk staff is really rude and it's not just my opinion--a receptionist at a radiology practice actually told me that she doesn't like them too much, either! They even had me meet with a physician's assistant when in my opinion I didn't really need that extra visit--the P.A. didn't do anything that Dr. Markind had already done! To give them the benefit of a doubt, they may care to some degree about their patients but they also really compromise on ethics--you're better off going elsewhere! read more

The worst experience I had ever had was at this doctor's office. My child went here due to constant headaches after concussion. We saw Dr. Mankind who said its okay don't worry they are only headaches. I insist on a brain MRI and after the result he called saying child needed spinal tap and contrast MRI- no explanation. Anyway, the day of the results I was struck in traffic and arrived 5 minutes late. I walked in and he said "my time is valuable, it's nice of you to come. By the way, your child has MS." No empathy, no bed side manners, nothing. He continue to tell us all the things that the child won't be able to do. We left so sad, depressed like the child was about to die. I will never recommend this place to anyone. Then I had another child to be tested prior to this. They sent the child at 17 years old to collection and also said the child didn't have anything wrong with them. A year later, at another doctor the child was diagnosed correctly. My daughter was in a car accident and had a TBI. Instead of running tests they put her directly into their own PT. 4x a week- people pulling and prodding her neck. She got worse and worse. I begged for MRIs and was told I was wrong. They pulled and poked some more. She got much worse. I demanded MRIs. Weeks later we find out she has a severe neck injury and an impingement in her shoulder. She was subjected to pain and treatment that made her condition worse and cost us dearly. She will never be the same. Then they had the nerve to bill us for the negligent care and send us to collection when we wouldn't pay. Our child should have been in traction, the doctors at CCMC could not believe what had been done to her. Save yourself and find a reputable practice and doctors who make sure they aren't going to hurt someone who can't articulate their pain due to a brain injury. Consulting council currently. read more

NOT the place to go if your child needs a 24-hour EEG. The tech was not prepared to work with a child, let alone one with special needs, as I'm sure they would often see in their line of work. The recording box was somehow shut off after an hour, but gave no indication, so we were driving ourselves nuts keeping his head wrapped overnight and all the next day without it even working! I probably should have given this physical therapy department 5 stars. It's not their fault that I'm not 100% cured of my problem, which is that at first I had vertigo and then "just" light-headedness. At first I saw my primary care doctor, who put me on a medicine that really didn't do that much for me. When it was obvious that I wasn't responding as well as hoped, my PC sent me to Associated Neurologists. I saw Dr. David Greco, who said to give it another week, and then if all was still not well, to start physical therapy. I did this and improved slightly, but my therapist thought I should return to Associated Neurologists, because their physical therapy department has more sophisticate testing equipment than was available to her. This time I saw Courtney Kennedy, PA, who is a very sharp, very personable young lady. I was tested thoroughly, and the recommendation was for more, targeted physical therapy. I started therapy right away, and have now been discharged from their care, only needing to do some exercises at home. Everyone in that department is very friendly, and, more importantly, very encouraging. My therapist was Nicole, and she couldn't have been nicer or more encouraging to me. It's been a long haul ( I started with the problem in early February, and it's now nearly the end of June), and I still have some early morning lightheadedness, but that leaves me after a very short time. I'm pleased with the treatment I got at this physical therapy department and would not hesitate to recommend it. read more
