It took numerous tries to connect with human by phone (eventually got rep in Manila who immediately put me back on hold until someone in the US picked up) only to discover problem is known issue with their online banking App. Oops. After performing work around to get into account, I discover a dozen monthly service fees slowly eating up my balance (now illegal in Illinois.) After numerous tries to get back in touch with them by phone, and 20 minutes on hold, I get transferred to service rep in Manila again who has no access to account and again puts me back on hold. After 20 more minutes I reached someone in USA who also has no access to see account statements so says she has no proof of what I am reporting - THOUGH I AM LOOKING RIGHT AT THE STATEMENT ONLINE WHILE WE ARE TALKING!! Simpler and less costly to my time if I just write off the fees and close account. One less business that hates customers that I have to deal with. Plus I already have an account with a wonderful credit union and an account at Blackhawk Bank in Rockford if I need a personal banker. (Gave them one star above lowest for having cheapest foreign currency rate - which was only reason I opened account.)

Absolutely pathetic service. I'm stuck dealing with this…read morebank because my unemployment card is through them. I stopped in today and tried calling the US ReliaCard customer service number from their parking lot to confirm my balance. FIFTEEN attempts--all of them failed to connect. I tested my phone to see if any other phone numbers worked; they did, so it was just ReliaCard having problems. I went inside to see if the tellers could help. Turns out they had ONE guy working both the inside counters and the drive-thru. I asked him if ReliaCard was having problems and he said he couldn't tell me anything because "we don't have any dealings with them even though our name's on the card." He wanted me to try calling one more time. I did so and got the same result, it never connected. I asked if HE could try calling with a bank phone to see if he could at least get through. He said he didn't want to tie up one of their phones (nevermind that, by his own admission, no one else was there). I asked if he could just check the balance on my card and he said only I could do that. His only "suggestion" was to go online with my phone and check the ReliaCard website. When I tried to, I got an error message with a featureless white screen [see picture] saying my session was timed out. Funny, considering that was my first time ever visiting the site. Then he tried to put the blame on my phone service, and I reiterated that while on THEIR (the US Bank branch's) wi-fi, I was able to look at other webpages and call other numbers, just not theirs. He didn't know what to tell me. I gave up and had to just try the card at the ATM and risk getting an "insufficient funds" message. (Thankfully, I didn't.) If you have a choice on where to bank, do NOT make it this trainwreck!

Do yourself a favor and go to associated. These people are not open hours that allow people that…read morework normal first shift hours to get to the bank. They have so many errors on their end and they refuse to do anything over the phone but it's nearly impossible for me to get in during their hours. They always have your balance wrong on the app, so don't trust it! They charged me overdraft fees after I called to check my balance (I know, silly me for thinking I could trust their app) prior to spending money, and they said they would refund 1 of the fees and I would see it post within 24 hours, never posted. I call, and the lady basically tells me I'm making this up, nobody told me that.. unless I recall her name, which I don't (which she claims is 'convenient' for me. Don't you think they would keep record of who I talked to since it was a phone banker?) She told me that I made this up because they "don't do refunds anymore." Then she said "and when we do refunds it's instant." So which is it you don't do them, or it's instant? Clearly if this lady who claims to be a senior banker is correct, then the employee I spoke to isn't trained well and lied to a customer that you are now treating like a criminal. If the app displayed my correct account information I would've deposited money or transferred from my other account. I was negative for 2 days before my account even reflected it on my end and they charge me for both of those days. I even have screen shots showing my account had 95$ on it, when they were saying it was negative. Guess what, I have to make it in within their hours to show them my screenshot, they don't have an email I can send it to. If you want someone to lie about your balance, and then charge you for believing their lies, and then call you a liar for trusting one of their telephone bankers, US Bank is definitely for you. I've talked to 4 people now who say they experienced the same type of things with US Bank. They all recommend associated bank. Time to take my money elsewhere. Also switching my elderly families bank accounts so US doesn't rip them off!
