In my experience as a long-time landlady there, Kara has done a tremendous job for the residents, investors and our HOA's board. According to the manage, they are responsible for nothing. Condescending towards owners, slow to act in urgent situations and deny accountability for absolutely everything. The way my neighbors were spoken to with the homeowners association. Meeting with associate manager present is atrocious. Apparently she can't do anything about anything. If they are two dogs, she can send a letter and that's all. However, she's not going to send that letter because she think anything. My neighbor has a leak and she won't send a to make sure that it's not a main line. She will not rule out, even though my is saying that it is a main line, refuses to acknowledge that she has any responsibility, the company has any responsibility to go in and assess the situation. , the company has any responsibility to go in and assess the situation. I've never seen anything like it. And believe me, as a community of homeowners this is not going to stand. We are not going to accept it. She'll be hearing from us frequently. UPDATE: please note the response below- I do not wish to email back and fourth with this company anymore as they have answered nothing- I have been asking for a call, because the emails go nowhere. For example, I emailed asking why I received a notice about weeds in my front yard, I asked if they could send a photo with the violation because I did not have any weeds in my yard and I wanted to make sure it wasn't a mistake. They emailed me back and describing what a weed looks like- I've included the picture below- this is why I feel like I am wasting my time emailing and want to speak to someone. I have been asking for a CALL since October 16th to explain why I continue to receive fraudulent charges on my account. They have reversed the charges but no one has made the time to actually call me. I have made the time in my schedule to speak with them, but some how in over a month, not a single person from this agency can return my phone call. What are we paying for if there is no one to speak with when we have concerns? Associa Arizona hires very nice people to answer the phone.....that's as far as it goes. Any response, if you get one, is terse and incomplete - obvious that the reader did NOT read the prior emails. They can cut and paste from CCR's but do not read or try to understand the issue presented. I asked for the name of the Manager of the office or name of the owner. This newly hired company is NOT doing their job by working for us homeowners at our community. We had a scheduled board meeting for June 22nd (we hired them June 1st) we received an E-mail the night before from Mandi Bates stating meeting was postponed until August!!! Wait, the worst part is she provided NO reasons. This HOA consists of 5 board members 2 of them being a married couple (husband Bruno being President and wife Cheryl Treasurer) extreme financial conflict of interest wouldn't you say? Those individuals are the ones giving orders to Associa, shame on Associa for allowing to be controlled. I'm asking Associa do their job for US Homeowners, not just Bruno and Cheryl!!! I am president of our HOA in Tucson. Associa is the best property management company we have ever had. New management was brought in and the old group from Lewis Mgmt Resources were shown the door. We have an excellent property manager, letter perfect ledger, comprehensive reports, great vendors, responsible staff and more than our monies worth of great services and value for the money. Accounting is outstanding and all calls, issues and problems are answered and attended to in a timely manner. This is a great partnership and we are 100% satisfied with the service we receive. Lost payments and non commitment to repairs on property. They pass the buck to get rich without doing anything for the residents.

Associa is the worst. It is impossible to contact them or get a response. They do not provide the services that we pay for. They work to divide community members and silence them. They conduct vendettas against community members who they don't like and harass them with fake compliance complaints. They will grab your association's records and refuse to hand them over for years, claiming that they cannot find them, and only turn them over when they are fired and their contract terminated. read more

They truly give no qualms about continuing violations after the 1st violation was paid and paperwork was submitted for the fix and approved. All the paperwork says we have a year, but then to get it done in a timely manner. Apparently planting landscape in the winter sounds preferrable to them. So then it can die and the landscape violations continue to rake in their money. Christina and John seem to be unhelpful and ineffective to communicate with thoroughly, but happily send the violations. read more

RE: Associa Tucson (N. Oracle Rd.) The communication with this company has been terrible. They have an online software (Town Square) for reporting issues, requests, etc. that sounds great on the surface. However, when you submit a request, they respond back that they will look into the matter, they then immediately change the status of the request to "closed", then you never hear back with an answer. Apparently, "we'll look into it" is their idea of an answer. We have a neighbor who moved into our community in February (it's now December) who still has not received any communication from Associa regarding documentation, HOA dues, etc. After numerous unanswered phone messages, he attempted to see them in person at the Tucson (N. Oracle Rd.) location and they refused to help him. He was told to call and make an appointment. He explained he had tried calling multiple times but they still would not assist him. We dealt with a very similar issue when we moved into our community one year ago, but not nearly as bad as our neighbor. Associa Tucson needs to get their act together! read more

Since Associa has been our management company since April, not only has Robby worked to help with our budget and vendors, he also has been very instrumental in getting our neighborhood up to date on broken items and keeping the board informed of what we need to do and what is going on! -New Pool Company within 1 week, as our previous pool company gave us a green pool since they stated they didn't get $$ so decided not to treat our pool. Robby was instrumental in calling them SAME DAY! to get this taken care of and addressed -Landscape, instrumental in getting the needs of the neighborhood and SEVERAL complaints addressed real time and on the spot, you both even came out and met with TINY! THANK YOU!!!! -Day to Day needs of our community, fire that broke out in the wash (robby was onsite and helped with anything needed). neighbor complaints. the payment issues of the ebank, just to name a few. I have tried to call the office repeatedly and I only get a recording, always straight to recording. Today I don't get a recording, just a message that the number is not available. I can't leave a message for anyone to call me.  I can't come to the office in person apparently and it is hard to get my emails answered.  I am trying to resolve a payment issue and Associa's system of customer service makes it extremely difficult to speak with someone. Now I have been hit with extra fees. I am to the point of printing out my emails and going to the HOA board and also pointing out the very large amount of 1 out 5-star reviews from rating surveys on the internet.  If were to run for the HOA board, I would do my best to have Associa removed as the property management company. We are renting in a community that is managed by Associa. Have fun trying to get someone in the AZ office to answer the phone or respond to any messages. When I finally was able to speak with Trudy she was very condescending. All I wanted to find out was how I could obtain an access card for the pool. Instead I got a lecture from Trudy. She was extremely rude and would interrupt me. It was like speaking to a robot. When we first moved in to our rental home I was told how non responsive Associa was. Now we cannot have good pass key to gate, that we can transfer from tenant to tenant: we have to have a paper label, attached to a car, that does not work sometimes. Associa Arizona in Tucson is the most inept business I have ever dealt with. I have called 7-10 random times during regular business hours. No answer by a person. Like others have pointed out, they do not answer their phones. Nor did they respond to messages. You need an appointment to see them in person. Classic Catch-22. I only got a response after using FedEx to mail a letter with tracking. The response to my letter turned out to be a lie. I was told I would receive a refund of my over paid association dues within 10 business days. The check did not arrive. I called the employee that promised this, he said the check would be mailed 4/11/23, no check has been received as of 4/18/23. I am planning on filing for my refund in small claims court. As per filing rules you need to send a certified copy to corporate headquarters. Another surprise, their corporate status is inactive, so they are not even a law abiding legitimate corporation as of 2020. As verified by others here, and self admitted by themselves, their website is hard to use plus charges you to use the site to pay them. We live in flagstaff and own a townhome in Tucson and this is the HOA for the townhome. Our insurance company threatened to cancel our policy because the exterior was very weathered and the paint is peeling. We contacted Scott Harbaugh, who told us via email on June 4th, the association would send someone out to do the work. It's now September 28 and no work has been done. There's a bush outside the front door that needs to be trimmed and is taking up much of the sidewalk, as well as attracting insects. We have asked multiple times for someone to come and trim it. Our renters have seen people trimming the trees and bushes of the neighbor's, except ours. This inexcusable. What are we paying you for?? read more

These people are god awful we had a robbing in CDON a car hijacking, which these people are in charge of, and also the wall in the front of the property at CDO complex is totally broken down something they should fix and has been broken down for months, but instead we have 2 neighbors that are part of the association going around on their little white golf cart picking out little things that they think is wrong. This Property Management company (at least in Scottsdale) is simply horrible and HOAs should stay clear and avoid hiring them. They offer no service to the members and they offer poor support to the boards, getting communities into unnecessary litigation with residents because of exceptionally poor service. I'm hoping that our Overton Reserve HOA Board in Tucson, Arizona decides to hire another property management company soon. Dealing with this company has been a nightmare. They sent a plumber? out who managed to cut my outside phone line three months ago. I never did get a straight answer on who they sent out. I was getting home phone and internet service because the wiring in my place did not work. They refuse to hold these people responsible and refuse to take responsibility. They expect me to get the phone company to fix it. The phone company won't fix it they say it's the management company's responsibility. The management company claimed they sent out technicians two different times. They never showed up. Either I was being jerked around or they were sent to the wrong unit. I gave the company my account number for the phone company. I was told they couldn't call because they needed my personal info. They wouldn't tell me what personal information they needed. I would have gladly given it to them. Now I am stuck without service and no way to get it fixed. It is commonly known within the bylaws that the association is responsible for exterior maintenance and shared components in a particular condominium subdivision managed by Associa. The association then sent me a bill for a whopping amount of thousands stating that is stated in the CC&Rs that any and all shared components are the responsibility of the association however, with vague invoices, Associa asserts lies via legal force and threat. many people in the community were being charged similarly for items such as plumbing and even exterior lighting but was told the HOA will NOT pay and that he has to pay for it. remaining unaccountable for the actions of the management company but most shocking of all is that the board had passively agreed for Associas attorney to represent them which is inherently a conflict of interest, as they represent the interest of Associa and not the community. Associa operates by taking no responsibility for causation and offering no cure and at the end of the day, the practices employed by Associa to avoid the liability of payments due for what is rightfully owed and ensare owners into paying for anything and everything that knowingly would be paid for by the HOA is deceptive, and malicious ... read more

So tired of this company. The communication is awful! It took me months to get a response back from them and I had called and emailed after I relied a 50 dollar weed fine! I did not even receive a warning letter and the weeds were tiny. They refused to reverse the fine, even though the problem had been resolved. They also nickel and dime you. $9.50 to pay your bill online for a convenience fee! They also charge you $5 for every letter they send. This company makes me regret buying in our neighborhood. You are paying for Associa to treat you poorly. Never buying a house in a neighborhood that associates with Associa. read more

Heather was awesome at getting a proposal to us on very short notice (we went to 4 companies and Associa was the fastest to respond, the most professional and friendly AND their rates were the best we saw! The services they provide are just what we needed and MORE!). Grace is our manager and she has spent countless hours with the transition and has worked above and beyond to assist our ailing HOA President with the transition. She has so much patience and she had been extremely professional and kind to all of us. Before We hired Associa we felt like our neighborhood was declining and as a homeowner I was fearful of what the future held for our property and our enjoyment of our community. Now that Associa has taken over I feel optimistic about the future of our neighborhood and homes. As an HOA company you wear many hats including policing of the residents and them following the CC&R's, I've had an issue with the neighbors yard mess (WEEDS) front, back, side. I first spoke with Heather back in May about this issue and very dangerous situation (weeds growing through their electrical panel) which is a direct danger to me living next door and to the whole neighborhood if a fire started and winds kicked up. I have had a property with Associa Arizona for the past several years and this company is honestly one of the most difficult to work with in Arizona. I have two other properties in Tucson and I never have any issues. I have never had any issues with my property. The biggest problem is that if you call the office requesting something nobody ever answers the phone and if they actually get back to you it may be several days later. I honestly wish that the board would choose a different company to work with regarding HOA issues. The cost is defiantly not a problem and the property is maintained perfectly. As an HOA president who was so taken by the promises of the Associa sales team in Arizona and then so profoundly disappointed and enraged by the actual services Associa provided to our HOA, please DO NOT sign a contract with Associa. We endured 8 months and had to quit. The financial handling and reporting was so bad - vendors paid double or not at all- our insurance was unpaid but Associa assured me it was paid during the grace period. A later conversation with our agent revealed the policy lapsed and a new one had to be written. Their postage and printing costs added hundreds of dollars to their monthly management fee. Our pool permits expired. Our manager had no camera on her computer for our Zoom meetings - I saw her in person only once or twice. Service from Associa On Call was non-existent. Homeowners had a difficult time to sign up for email statements. Nothing got better as time went on; so many of my questions went unanswered. I am so relieved since we DIS -Associa-ted! read more
