We received outstanding service this morning from Johnathon Brown Electric and their technician…read moreDaniel. When the outlet behind my coffee maker started making alarming noises, we shut off the breaker and called our regular electrician. After two hours with no response, we tried another. Still no reply. Meanwhile, the refrigerator was off too, and we were not about to lose all our food. We turned to Yelp. The reviews looked solid, so we called. They answered right away. A few minutes later, we got a text saying Daniel was on his way and would arrive in 16 minutes. And he did. We described the issue, he inspected the outlet, and removed the cover. The receptacle was cracked in five places, with melted and burned plastic. It was a dangerous mess that could have turned into a serious problem. Daniel replaced it, flipped the breaker, and everything came back to life. No more crackling. Coffee maker working. Fridge humming again. We are very happy with the service and have added Johnathon Brown Electric to our go-to list. If we have another electrical issue, they will be our first call. This fan was originally supposed to be installed by the contractors from Lowe's. Due to a LOT of miscommunication and taking over 6 weeks for a refund on Lowe's service fees, I started looking elsewhere for installation services. Definitely recommend (they charged less than Lowe's and did an amazing job)! I asked about a garage lighting project and they are currently working on the estimate for a this proposed lighting upgrade (from basically nonexistent) in our garage.

Justin and Elephas (not sure of the spelling--sorry!) came out to replace my panel and meter base…read more I'd recently bought a home that was built in 1976, and a lot of the features are original, including, unfortunately, the panel box outside, which had literally been tied back on by the previous owner when it came loose. Elephas did the initial estimate and was very kind and knowledgeable, showing me everything that was going on with the old panel, his recommendations for replacing the panel and breakers and the meter base together. I received a detailed estimate very quickly and when I called with questions about it, I was put in touch with Justin, their lead technician. He was knowledgeable and thorough and they got me on the schedule ASAP. Both Justin and Elephas came out to do the work. There was a bit of a mix up with the electric company getting out here to de-energize, and they did as much as they could to prep and set up while waiting, then they were efficient and thorough while working, and took the time to walk me through everything once they were done. They stated on-site until the power company came back and restored us, so they'd be sure we were all set. I feel very confident that the work was high quality and both men were friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and patient. Good communication throughout the process, and anytime I had to call, I usually spoke with Skylar, who was also terrific -- patient, kind, followed up when I needed it. I would definitely recommend Walker Electric if you're needing electric work done.

***DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME***…read more Called Walker WES for some electrical work I needed done in my home. This would be the third time I've used them in my home since October. The first two were great and the technicians did excellent work. However, this time, the receptionist set an appointment from 12-12:45. I took the afternoon off and raced home to be sure I was there. 45 minutes later I called because they had not shown and I received a message from Square showing my appointment had passed and I would have to schedule another. But the receptionist said no not to worry, her technician just came in and would be there soon. Again I inquired if they would be able to do the work the same day and she said depending on the work they will do the estimate first and then most likely proceed if I was agreeable. The technician finally showed up about 30 minutes later and proceeded to come in with removing his muddy boots. However when we got to the carpeted area, I asked him to remove them and he did. The work I needed done was to replace two bathroom exhaust fans, which I had already carefully purchased to make sure they would fit. Again they would have been removing two that were already in place and install the new ones. I also needed two receptacles added to another room which after explaining the specifics and showing the technician, he said we wouldn't have a problem. After about 45 minutes of going everything I asked if he was going to be able to perform the work that day and he said no, because it would required two technicians. He then proceeded to work up a quote after struggling with the software and then started to explain the quote to me. That's when everything went to pot! He wanted to charge me $425 for EACH fan. WHAAAT??? I was shocked! AND then he said I would have to pay a deposit before the work could start. WHAAAAT??? For a $1000 job? When I expressed my surprise, he said he could go outside and call Jeff and possibly get a better price. After another 30 minutes, he came back with a revised price of $320 per fan. I told him that was outrageous and I did not appreciate being taken advantage of and that he needed to let Jeff know that he not only lost a customer, but also any future referrals. As I said before, I've used them several times in my home and business. And have NEVER had such an experience. It appears to me that the guy that came out didn't even work for Jeff, and was perhaps a subcontractor. If that's the case, Jeff you may want to reevaluate how you do business! Oh and fix your software so it doesn't appear that your coding sales tax as a "processing fee".
