It means you're hurting somewhere. And the actual MRI itself is such a bizarre thing. In the not-so-distant future, we will look back on this technology the same way we currently look at VCR's. Not to sound snooty about a machine that can look inside your body, but it's insanely loud and you must remain perfectly still like you're dead for it to work. Every time I go in for one, I can't believe this is still the best way to do this. However, that's the case for any MRI. And my Alliance MRI was pretty painless. I was called back before the start of my appointment and the whole process was no nonsense. A few days later, they sent the report over to my Ortho, and bonus points to Alliance, I had no tears in my achilles. I can give credit to them for that, right?

So I sit back down and called her to see if she would answer and guess what nothing. Just continued to talk to her friend. So walked back to the window and stood there, she told her friend one second I have someone at my window. I confirmed the number with her and then I said I have been calling all day. All she said was that the phone lines are always busy during these times. They said bring those results. I said no, he needs to look at them and not just copy what's on others. The MRI technologist was amazing, very helpful and he did a great job of making sure I was comfortable and not scared. He also took extra care to make double sure that my ear plugs were in good before we started the mri because it gets so loud in there. They gave me a cd with the copy of the images on it before I left and the report was finished and sent to my email a day earlier than expected. They did a phenomenal job from start to finish!

The first thing I noticed when I walked up is how small their waiting area is, there were 11 seats and only one was open. I figured that meant a long wait time. I was pleasantly surprised when I was called in 15 minutes later. I changed into the hospital gown and shortly after they came to get me for the MRI. I was in and out in less than an hour. The facility as a whole was clean and the personnel were all nice.

Show up for my appointment and was charged $390. Receptionist has no idea where the quoted number came from.. naturally . Avoid at all costs. Seems like a scam that self pay would cost less than what they quoted me with insurance.. then show up and it's the same price as with insurance ??
