Physical Therapy came once and I scheduled a second visit. Megan passed me on to someone else and she had to schedule a different day, that was fine. Day of appointment arrived and she needed to recschedule again for a few hours later. That was fine. Then time of appt came and she needed more time. I had another appointment so that time would not work for me. I asked to reschedule the following day and she never got back to me. Ivy said she was told I cancelled PT. Over a week later Megan text me and asked if she could come to my house an discharge me. I was at a dr appointment and would not have been home til late afternoon. She sent me a text saying I will do the discharge without seeing you. I was irritated and would just look for out patient PT. THEN I received an email that my visit summary was available online. I read the summary notes in shock. She said I agreed to discharge (did not) that I could walk for 10 minutes, stand for 20, past the chair test of getting up and down 11 times, that I was completely independent and did not need further assistance. None of this is true. Things like this really effect future care. Now I am fighting to have this erroneous report removed from my medical records. Would not reccommend this service unless you have no other options. Just stay on top of their reporting as it is very false.

I have serious neck injury and received MRIs, CAT scans, and physical therapy for the last year! When I informed the office that I was injured and I needed help and to be fed, the office staff lady said I needed to learn to use your hands. I stated my name, and my disability, I have no use of my hands or legs, I could not feed myself. She was extremely rude and said I needed to learn. After I was getting perturbed, the lady finally looked up my name and said oh, I guess we do have to help you! There was no apology, no feedback no checking to see how I was doing... Instead, I was told we will no longer be assisting you! I have pain 24 /7! Only eight calls were ever returned, four to say they already have full schedules and can't take on more clients and two calls from unvaccinated workers. Bottom line. THERE ARE NO VACCINATED HOME HEALTH CARE WORKERS AVAILABLE AND HAVEN'T BEEN SINCE I LAST WROTE ON ON 9/21. It is now 2/22. Can we agree this program is a FAILURE AND WASTE OF MONEY? Generous and kind contributors to the Project Independence Program, you are wasting your money by contributing to this program. I don't know if there are tax dollars involved also, but at 76, I have no help, no living family, multiple disabilities, a doctor who says "Do not let unvaxed people into your house", and no hope for the future. Senior Resource Advisors took wonderful care of an aging aunt who resided at a senior facility. You might ask why this additional layer of help? The answer is simple. The facility provided a very nice place to live,, good food, a set of activities to help residents. SRA provided daily contact, took her shopping, to doctors appointments, helped her with personal needs such as cleaning clothes. SRA took a tremendous burden of care off family members and was a lasting friend forr my aunt. During the last weeks of her life, SRA really showed value, takinG her to thE hospital, being there when she needed help and support, gave a loving hand to help an aging lady comfort in the last days of her life. Simply priceless. If youre at a distance, or not able to dedicate sufficient time yourself, SRA fills the gap.

This is a very difficult review to write as there are few words to express the depth of my…read moregratitude towards the group of dedicated, professional and compassionate individuals who run and staff Senior Resource Advisors. It's not an exaggeration to say that in one of the most difficult periods of my adult life, they provided me and my elderly father with a sense of caring and support that transcends normal business operations. Our story in short: I was not raised with my biological/birth father, but toward the last phase of his life, I became responsible for helping coordinate his care, housing and finances. Not only did I live 11 hours away, but the whole idea of suddenly making critical decisions for him, with no previously established relationship on that level and no siblings or significant others to share the burden, was hard to imagine. When a loved one's mental and physical health begin to decline, it's difficult under normal circumstances, let alone inserting yourself into their life as their advocate when there is no one else. Luckily, there was someone else. There was a whole team of them. Senior Resource Advisors (SRA) had been connected through a referral with both my father and the facility where he was living. They reached out to me to begin the process of organizing a complete care plan that dealt with everything from medical appointments to automated bill payments and everything in between. Open and frequent lines of communication were established and I never felt like there was a day or time that I couldn't ask for clarification or help with any issue. And of course...there were plenty! Let me take a moment to mention that Urmi Boyd, President of SRA is a remarkable and beautiful human being who summoned incredible patience and determination to make this whole thing work. Medical, legal, financial and even social/emotional issues were handled by her with the type of care that we all want for our parents (and hopefully someday for ourselves) and without her personal approach, this situation would have rapidly deteriorated. Urmi was firm when needed, and compassionate throughout. In our age of automation and digital solutions, there is no substitute for a smart, sensitive person who has the ability to weigh the situation and make a timely and thoughtful recommendation. That was Urmi. My father passed away on October 12th. Before he died, we had worked with Urmi and her staff to manage his pain medication through the hospice nurse. Knowing his wishes, we planned together to make sure he was comfortable and aware enough to spend a final afternoon visiting my son, who traveled with me to see his grandfather. My father proudly introduced him to the staff of the care facility, then summoned the strength to walk us to the door and hug us goodbye. It was the last time we saw him. Every family's situation is unique to them, as they experience it. But there is enough commonality in these important life moments, that having someone with experience and skill can make a world of difference. For me and my father, that was Senior Resource Advisors and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have found the caregivers at FRHC to be excellent workers, but the policies made by FRHC's top…read moremanagement are substantially problematic and disadvantageous to myself and probably to other clients. Here is what I experience. My caregiver has many home responsibilities and has not been available to work about one third of the days for which I am scheduled for her help. FRHC notifies me of the cancellation of her shift anywhere from an hour to five minutes before the shift begins. Usually, but not always, FRHC can provide me with a substitute worker. Sometimes there is nobody available. When there is a substitute available, that worker arrives well after the customary hours of the shift. That means, for example, that if the shift begins at 8 am and if the substitute worker (notified at the last minute or unavailable for the first hour of the shift) arrives that day, her arrival would rarely be before 9 or 9:30 am or even later. So, for example, if I have previously made a 9 am medical appointment for that day, I will not have transportation to that appointment, will have to cancel the appointment on very short or no notice, and may be subject to the medical appointment's cancellation fee. When I called FRHC to find out why my otherwise excellent worker cancelled so often, I was told that FRHC's policy is to allow their workers to cancel at will, even at the last moment, and that FRHC has no penalty for that, considers it perfectly OK, and even expects it. You need to expect abrupt cancellations of scheduled shifts which, for some disabled clients, may be far more than a mere inconvenience. FRHC will then attempt to reschedule these missed hours for another day of the same week, which may or may not fit your schedule or that of your usual caretaker. Again, I emphasize that I have found FRHC's workers to be, as a group, excellent and their local administrators to be hard working and pleasant. It is this company's policies that are the problem I experience. I would like to emphasize that the caregivers, in my experience, are almost always lovely and good at their job. The local administrators have always been polite and caring to me. FRHC's policy of not hiring caregivers on a full time basis and not requiring consistent attendance is a problem, sometimes a BIG problem, for some clients. It is a fact of which prospective clients should be aware.
