I asked how the chicken was and she said very good. I ordered it. It was plenty. It came atop of rice that was cold and had some hard pieces in it and broccolini. I didn't eat either. My room was $390 (with a $250 charge for incidentals). My dinner was $55+$11 tip. That's a lot for an old run down night and evening. I'd call it a rip off. Do not recommend.

The rehearsal dinner was held on the steakhouse patio. The food was great and so was the service. The wedding was held on the wilderness overlook. The reception was then held at the pavilion. Great food and service. The pavilion also worked well for the DJ. We even had a rain/hail storm in the middle of the reception and we stayed dry. There are plenty of hiking trails nearby. If you are a mountain biker, the venue is not in Glacier Park so there are biking trails nearby also. There is wifi at the lodge but not at the cabins. I was able to hold a zoom meeting with work while sitting at the lodge patio. There is not cell phone service (I have ATT.) That could be a positive or a negative. Only negative? There was supposed to be a moose in the area but we did not see it.

I was able to reroute our trip to enter GNP from West Glacier instead of traveling north on I-15 and coming into GNP on US Highway 2. Hopefully you will discover that this place is not an HIE as some of their adverts suggest.

I heard the lodges fill up fast and are very expensive however. This historic hotel is quite incredible from the architecture to the settling right on the lake. It might be expensive but the time savings on being able to start hikes right from the hotel may be worth it. For people like us who did not stay overnight you can enjoy the hotel common areas and restaurants. However unfortunately no WiFi unless you are guests. And they need to install benches outside where you wait for the shuttle.

What an absolutely incredible place!…read more Our stay at Flathead Lake Resort began when we pulled up and Natasha, one of the staff members greeted us with a giant, genuine smile on her face and a silly greeting. Throughout the stay, her, Jack, and the other staff at the resort, truly helped create a feeling of community, appreciation and fun! My three friends and I stayed in the Anker cabin, which I believe is one of their largest spaces. It was the perfect size for four of us for a weekend getaway. The space has a large bedroom with a wall down the middle, creating two bedrooms, each with a bed, as well as a futon in the living room. There is a good sized living room, a small porch, a kitchen and a bathroom. The space is clean and simply decorated. The beds were kinda weird (I don't know how to explain why) but they were surprisingly comfortable. We were so grateful to be provided with two large fans. At night time, we opened the windows and turned on the fans and it cancelled out all outside noises and made for a very comfortable sleep. We were all amazed at how well we slept every single night that we were here. One of the best parts of staying at this resort is that they have a small private beach from that is just for people staying here. To be honest, before I arrived, I was concerned about the small size of the beach, but half of the time that we went down there, it was just our group and a few other people. And there were a few times that we went down and there were around 10-15 people but everyone was super friendly and we had some great conversations. Everyone we met had a smile on their face and was having a great time. One night, we even had a fire right by the lake with about 8 other people and just had the best time telling stories and laughing. I woke up every morning before my friends and went to sit down by the lake by myself to drink coffee and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. One morning, I went to the lake around 7 am and the lake was crystal clean so all of the surrounding mountains were perfectly reflected into the lake creating a gorgeous symmetrical landscape. I also watched hawks and water birds fly by, as well as deer munching on the trees in a nearby yard. One day, my friends and I rented two paddleboards and two kayaks from the resort to spend the day on the lake. This was probably my favorite part of our entire weekend here. The 'boats' were really affordable for a half day and the experience was amazing. The lake is huge and breathtakingly beautiful as it is surrounded by beautiful mountains and estates. We were grateful to have a bald eagle fly over us with a fish in it's claws. We also saw a bunch of seagulls and a few fish swimming below us. This lake is very clear and even in deep areas, you can see through the waters to the rocks on the bottom. It's truly spectacular. I can't say enough amazing things about this resort and can't wait to come back again in the future. So incredible!

The shower, though, gets hot in seconds. Indoor fire pit and auxiliary heater in each unit with standard wall mounted heater. The vast space makes it impossible to heat. We were here in late August with temps in the low 40s every morning. Beds very comfortable with premium sheets. Downside is you are pretty remote from food options. There is a bar/restaurant on property with a great staff. Breakfast is bagel/scones/yogurt, etc. Good enough for me. At night, it was basically pizza. I wasn't at Glacier for premium dining, so again it works for me. Like everything around Glacier, there will be road construction delays. Absent delays, you are 15 minutes from West Glacier and 45 minutes from East Glacier. As they mention on their website, you are right across from the railroad tracks. The staff provides ear plugs. Trains didn't bother me, but I pretty much go with the flow. The skylight in each unit is a great touch. Looking up at those stars is epic. There is a telescope in each room, but it is one of those flimsy lower powered ones. Premium binoculars do just as well. We had a monocular and it did the trick.
