Use this company at your own risk! We hired them to clean our house the day before we were having pictures taken in order to list our house for sale. After the cleaners arrived, my husband and I had lunch and left. We returned about 10 minutes before they were supposed to be done and one of the cleaners started apologizing saying that she had broken our microwave. Sure enough the door was hanging off the microwave by the wires, our kitchen cabinet was also damaged by the door falling. She left practically in tears saying Aspen Clean would cover any costs. I called the company twice that evening and they told me they would cover the costs to replace the microwave and compensate for the damaged cupboard. My husband went out that night to buy a a microwave in stock at an appliance store. The next day I called again and was told again they would cover it, and I asked for them to email me so I had it in writing. When I got the email they had done a 180 and said that our microwave wasn't functional before they arrived, and they refused to pay for it. This was a lie, both my husband and I used the microwave while the cleaners were there and it was working fine. Meanwhile, we had to delay listing our house until we could get the microwave installed above the stove. They also accused us of having purchased the microwave earlier and trying to scam them into paying for a microwave that we had purchased before they cleaned our house, even though we have proof that the microwave was purchased the evening after the house was cleaned. This company is run by horrible people and we've been told by one of their employees that they treat their employees horribly. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

HOME THEFT BEWARE, PLEASE READ This is the kind of company that ASPEN CLEAN is. They do not stand by their customers and please think twice before you assume that fully bonded and insured includes theft of anything inside your home unless you have cameras to prove it! We've been with Aspen clean for four years. We had a jewelry theft in our home after a cleaning service (valued at $2500.). After filing a report both with the company and with the RCMP, we were promised by the manager at Aspen that they would make this right. Fast forward three months later and I receive an email stating that because none of their employees stepped forward to claim the theft, there was nothing more that they could do for me. The majority of people have very few strangers coming in and out of their bedroom and since the cleaners are the only ones outside my husband and myself who have access to our bedroom, the probability is pretty high that someone on the team was responsible. I'm writing this review to warn all the other customers out there to be cautious and to be warned that Aspen's policy is you need to have picture proof or a concession. read more

I used Aspen Clean for a "move out" clean in December 2013 and the result was horrendous. When I spoke with management about it they offered to come back and re-clean any issue areas. As I had previously mentioned to them it was a move out clean, and our last day in the house, so this would be impossible. I was charged $500.00 for an empty 2700sq ft house that had already been partially cleaned (light dusting, carpets vacuumed and steamed cleaned) and there was zero effort to compensate in any other way. When I reiterated the issues I was asked, "why I didn't just clean the house myself"? At the time I was 6 months pregnant, working full time and my partner was working overseas. I have since used a competitor in our new home and have had nothing short of fantastic results and pleasant customer service. read more

Don't waste your money. I hired Aspen Clean to do a move-in house and carpet cleaning. Communication was terrible at their main office (based out of BC) and I had to reschedule services twice as a result. The service was also terrible - paid a lot of $ for what should have been a thorough service - lots of crumbs and dust left in the cabinets, dirty baseboards, etc. Their carpet cleaning took 4 days to dry and left my house smell like mold. I had to get another service in to fix it a week afterwards, and pulled black water out of the "just cleaned" carpets - GROSS! They were willing to reimburse my carpet cleaning service but dealing with this company was quite the exercise in frustration. Avoid!! read more

Worst cleaning company I have ever had. Cleaning is sub par at best. They overcharge for time spent in unit even after I caught them leaving earlier. Damage furniture and say it was not them. Overall I was happy with Aspen Clean's service. I booked for a move-out cleaning when I was selling a rental property - it was on the pricey side but they did a thorough job. I also liked that I could book online which saved a lot of time in having to call around. I would use their service again in the future. read more

I am seriously disappointed in this company. Don't waste your money. I would give 0 stars if I could. We hired this company for a move-in clean and carpet cleaning. I came to see the house after my husband had told me they were done - and I didn't believe him. It looked like no one had touched it whatsoever. Crumbs and dust still on the insides of cabinets, dead bugs and dust on the window sills (which is ridiculous because my husband specifically reminded them to clean the window sills, to which they apparently replied "oh right"), my bathroom was gross - a thick layer of sticky grime on the front of cabinets and on top of the shelving above the toilet. This is the standard for a professional cleaning company? They were here for a little over an hour - for a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with three levels? I spent 6 hours cleaning our 500 sq foot apartment. What a joke. read more

I agree with every 1 star comment here; DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Horrible company; horrible management, with no communication skills or sense of customer service whatsoever. They did a move-out clean for us, mediocre job, nothing as thorough as it should have been for the amount of money they charge you. One of their Calgary managers comes in to collect the cheque literally the day after the clean; I show him a couple of spots in the fridge that was missed as well as sticky floor at the entrance. He tells me to clean it myself and buy enzyme cleaner as he would otherwise have to charge a minimum of $100 to send in cleaners again. So I am under the impression that nobody is going to come back in for touch ups. I cleaned those spots and sticky floor myself. Unfortunately house stayed empty for 2months; so I paid another company to re-do dusting, mopping prior to the tenant coming in. New tenant comes in and is not satisfied with dishwasher, fridge and oven cleaning and there is grease on the kitchen hood, which I hadn't even noticed. I call Aspen Clean to come back just to do touch ups on those items-probably an hour job as a courtesy; they tell me only 24-48 hours after the cleaning they would re-send cleaners; their manager had previously told me it would cost $100 to send back cleaners. Would never use their services again, rude, unappreciative so-called managers and no customer service. read more

Terrible customer service, poor quality clean and dishonest billing. Hired this company a week ago, team of 3 came tommy home but only two did actual cleaning. Missed the kitchen counters, bathroom floors and many other standard areas. They then overcharged me by including a time period after the team had left my house! I emailed them right away but instead of refunding me the overcharge they offered a 10% off coupon (this does not even begin to cover the overcharge and I will never use them again). Since then nobody in the Calgary office or head office has responded to my emails regarding the billing error. Save your money and stay away from Aspen Clean Calgary. read more

Our experience has been horrible. staff and management have poor communication skills, and are extremely judgemental. We had our house clean today by Aspen clean was a big mistake we should have had it done by another cleaner Anthony was great to talk to on the phone and the three ladies that came to the house where Pleasant but the quality of clean I think needs much improvement I got the move in move out cleaning done just to mention a few things the entry coming into the house there is still a huge amount of fingerprints the spot clean I think it just did not happen whatsoever probably going to take me an hour of my own time just to clean the rest by myself very sad I will definitely not be giving them a recommendation to anyone read more

I had Aspen Clean clean my 1000 square foot condo as a treat for myself and my wife before we returned from a trip with our newborn. The condo was basically clean before we left I just thought it would be nice to have everything shined up for our return. Unfortunately a team of three people were unable to clean a 1000 square foot condo to any sort of standards. I imagine three people could clean the space throughly in about 30 minutes, aspen clean however was unable to clean my space at all. The counter tops were wiped down but you could see all the spots they didn't wipe. The floor was the same among other things. They did however manage to turn my stereo on and play music loud enough for my neighbours to hear. For the money I paid to have the service done it was totally unacceptable and way over priced. I was basically unable to tell they even came to clean other than the complaints from my neighbours and the empty bottle of cleaning product left on my counter. I received a call from the head office a few days after the service to fish for compliments but I was unfortunately unable to give any. I was told they would give me 10% off the same service as a way to fix it!! So I pay again but save 10%!! Wow hot deal! The lady on the phone informed me that I would be receiving a phone call from a manager to see how they could fix the issues but never heard a word back from them. All in all I would use anyone else but these guys again. read more

Overall super disappointed with the clean with Aspen Clean on our new million dollar home. It started out with two separate phone calls after the team was to arrive from management asking "where my house is". They had the address, but for whatever reason drove around for 25 minutes trying to find it. I live in inner city, where streets and avenues are a numbered grid. After two failed attempts to find my house, they finally arrive. First thing I noticed was the strong door of cigarettes on the staff. Lovely start. They also did very subpar job of cleaning - started with my inquiry as to why my large steam shower was completely dry when they were trying to rush out the door to leave (and I don't mean the walls were dried after being cleaned- I mean the grout of the tile was bone dry meaning it was impossible any cleaning products touched it). I asked them if it was cleaned, and they said yes, Then when I asked them to take a look they did so, not without rolling their eyes. They "recleaned'" it in 2 minutes (I timed them). So, lets just say its not quality they are doing here - its rushed, and they are definitely not busy during the whole time they are at your house. I happen to have a security camera and watched one girl in the kitchen essentially stand there and wipe the same part of the counter for 10 minutes. Worst part of all this? My house doesn't look any cleaner than before. Had it been cleaned properly I could have let this other stuff go. It was my first time trying Aspen Clean - and unfortunately it will be my last. read more

Extremely dissatisfied overall. I clean our condo regularly and it is still fairly new so it was not a hard job to begin with. I just wanted to save time and free up my weekends. There were numerous scuffs and marks on the baseboards and doors (they are white and show everything) and I specifically asked for this specialty add on. All the scuffs and spots were not cleaned. Still had toothpaste on the bathroom counter, faucet was still dirty. Toilet lids were not cleaned on top. No dusting of pictures or ottoman in living room. Floor still had sticky spots and appeared unmopped. Bed remained unmade. I was expecting a clean fresh smell from the natural products but it actually smelled worse then when I left for work this morning. I am really disappointed in the utter lack of attention to detail. Will not be rebooking. I was really looking forward to a clean condo and now I have to redo everything myself and am out a ton of money. I feel totally ripped off. read more
