I initially contacted another moving company for an interstate move from San Diego to Las Vegas. The bid came in very high, and I was told by that company that there were "additional fees" for interstate moves, making the price much higher than expected. Then, just 3 days before my scheduled move, that company called and tried to more than double the price!  leaving me in a total panic. I reached out to 5 STAR Moving Company, and the owner, Craig , responded immediately. He was furious when I told him my story. He calmed me down right away with his happy demeanor and reassuring words that they would take care of the move at a fraction of the quoted price. All was true. Not only did they accommodate me on such short notice, but they were also transparent, professional, and fair with their pricing--no surprise fees! The crew arrived right on time, very happy to be there and eager to start. They handled my belongings with care, and made a stressful move almost seamless. On moving day, the A-Team came in with smiles and amazing attitudes while working hard to get our things (heavy and big) over to our new home. They made the move fun. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would be fun. The A-Team kept a smile on my face and laughter in my belly! All things were moved in a timely manner (speedy and faster than I imagined). Their Customer Care and Delivery Teams were fantastic, including Aaron (who picked up my Zippy Shell container at the destination). I have moved items from the West Coast to East Coast and back several times over the years. It is not easy moving a lot of items over a long distance without paying an arm and a leg or losing/breaking things. Zippy Shell gave me confidence that my belongings would arrive without issue (and it did). I initially signed a contract with a full, comprehensive moving service, but after hours wasted on multiple phone calls/no-shows, I ended up cancelling the service due to lack of reliability and trustworthiness from their staff. In contrast, the Zippy Shell agent on the phone worked to make the service perfect for what were important to me: budget and reliability. I wish I could remember the name of the first person that helped me at Zippy Shell in the Customer Care team. He was fantastic and gave me the confidence to go sign the agreement that day even though it was not the cheapest quote I had received. There are always little hiccups (e.g. the Zippy Shell and Pack Rat systems don't seem to play nice), but Zippy Shell has been fantastic overall! Most importantly, I felt assured my belongings would safely arrive. They will be my first call in the future.

There was a team of 6 that showed up for the job. They were nice and professional. As a matters of fact, their team lead pointed out the crack in the TV after it got moved to our new residence. He assured us we would be able to submit a claim and it would be taken care of. The claim was ultimately denied and they said it's because we can't prove the TV wasn't like that prior to the move. So basically when we did the initial walk through, not a single one of the 6 men noted the crack?Interesting. Read other reviews and do your own research before using this company. They ridiculously changed the price from $89 per hour to $139 stating $139 is the price WITH a truck, which goes against what I was originally quoted. Needed a little "extra" assistance with driving truck from U-Haul and procuring enough furniture blankets to protect furniture...and they stepped up and provided the help I needed...even though I only hired them to load the U-Haul I rented. I had to move from a 3rd story to another 3rd story within the same complex.... with no elevator. such a stupid move, but it had to be done. Within 10 mins of sending out my search request on Yelp, I get a message from Ant to give him a call ASAP. Mind you, it's about 10:30pm now. So I call and.... ITS NOT A RECORDING!!!! Ant answers, asks a few questions, and schedules the move. We discuss pricing, which was beyond fair, and boom. We're done. So, the moving day comes. Nothing is broken, scratched, or ruined. My items are safely place into my new apartment. The guys were very kind, professional, quick, and efficient. All in all, if I have to move again (which I hope not anytime soon), I will be calling Global Movers. Thank you, BTW, for not having an automated machine tell me that you're closed. I know I'm terrible for even calling close to the witching hour, but the fact that my call was important enough to be answered speaks volumes on customer service.

I had recently painted the interior of my house and they did not leave a single scratch on the walls & stairs. They were also careful when removing all the furniture from the house to the truck (I rented a Budget truck). Be sure to buy any moving supplies that you want them to use (tape, blankets, plastic wrap, etc). I recommend having a dolly also. Can rent one with the truck.
