I had 7 teeth extracted and 4 bone graphs done at Aspen Dental - Worcester. The oral surgeon/dentist was completely incompetent. It took over 22 hours to receive pain medication because Aspen Dental messed up. In the end, I was left with a large space in my front teeth. I am unable to have an implant because the space is too big. I was never informed I couldn't have an implant. The regional manager told me Aspen Dental would no longer see me as a patient and then he had to back track because he didn't follow protocol. Aspen Dental has terrible communication, they charge you for things you don't need and charge extra for mistakes they make and then they blame the patient. Avoid Aspen Dental, Dr. Ramirez and Dr. Henville at all costs. read more

About one month ago I had a horrible toothache , so I started to look for a dental office where patients can come to get an emergency help. I have found Aspen dental in Worcester, ma and made an appointment with their dentist. I just want to have an X ray for that tooth was bothering me. But I knew I had an issue with my gum and I believed it was infected and gave such a horrible pain . So, I came to that office in 537 Lincoln st , Worcester , and I had an x- ray there and met Dr Manson Uribe . I didn't ask her to help with all my teeth bc I knew from my regular dentist my teeth were good. But that Dr told me , I should have an extraction for 21 teeth ( 4 are under my bridges ) at a time. And then I will have dentures, that office can do these ones. I was shocked what she offered to me... and I couldn't think right bc of my gum pain and I agreed with her offer. But I called to my previous dentists who I had for 10 years and ask them about that extraction for 21 teeth. They both were surprised. If I followed that Dr offer , they will charge me for extraction and dentures 18.000$... And moreover , their manager open an account with some bank for 13.860$$ , and I still have problem to close that one... So, I can imagine how many patients were cheated by Dr Manson Uribe, and I want just warn people don't go to that aspen dental just bc that office has not honest drs . And more, some stuff don't listen to patient closely and make patient to come to their office twice for the same procedure. read more

Adding a review because I don't feel like the 1 star reviews are very fair to this location. From a corporate standpoint, Aspen does remind me of a full service oil change place. It seems like there's a hard drive to upsell services that would be beneficial, but may not be always be necessary or covered by insurance. That being said, in my personal experience I was having significant tooth pain and was hopelessly trying to find a dentist in my network, all locations were months out to get me in. Aspen got me in the same day and I'm writing this review a week later with all of my issues resolved. I ended up needing my wisdom teeth removed and a deep cleaning on my gums. I feel like the price was very steep, even with insurance, but they got the job done fast. All of the staff are very friendly and always apologetic for any clerical errors that may arise. AWFUL- my 19 year old son had one checkup for which he paid in full and was bullied into taking a comenity dentalfirst line of credit for future work. Then he died. DIED. Then aspen dental did not cancel his account even though I called and sent death certificate. So now he has had NO WORK DONE and comenity has started to harrass us for money- why? Because Aspen dental has not bothered to tell them he had no work done. So now at a time when I need to be dealing with my deceased child, I get to deal with aspen dental and comenity coming after me for work that was never done. obscenely poor customer service. I went in for a consult about getting an impacted wisdom tooth pulled, was made to wait for 45 minutes-which whatever, I don't know what they have going on back there. However, when I came back to schedule an extraction the front desk lady was on the phone trying to confirm my insurance (surely something that could have been done while I was in my appointment), and while we were waiting the lady helping me checkout was like while she's doing that I'm going to help make some confirmation calls. After the receptionist helping me had made about 3 calls, the woman confirming my insurance info said "we're all set on patient G(so I was all set)", and the receptionist CONTINUED TO MAKE PHONE CALLS FOR 20 MINUTES. which is to say, I was waiting for 45 minutes before, and 40 minutes after (so from 7:30am to 8:15am, and then 8:20 to 9am), for a five minute appointment, with no one letting me know what was going on, so I left. on to the next dentist I suppose. read more

Both, my 11 year old daughter and me, had bad experiences at this particular Aspen Dental location in Worcester. Both of us were patients of Dr. Ummesalma Dhariwala. After regular semiannual cleaning my daughter was denied her cavities being fixed. When I asked "why" the doctor said she was too young. When I asked "at what age do you accept patients for fixing cavities" the answer was: around 13, when they can sit in the dentist chair without moving!!! I have been to every single dentist appointment of my daughter to know that she is a brave type and stands strong even when it hurts without jerking or being in the way of the dentist. It sounded like the doctor came up with the rule right on the spot. We had to move my daughter to a different dental office. As for me, I had a pretty bad cleaning experience there - the entire procedure took only a couple of minutes of careless scraping and did not include checking the pockets between my gums and teeth. It really felt like someone was doing a job that was good enough to put a check-mark - done! The last thing that made me decide to quit with them was as follows: after a semiannual cleaning it was discovered that I have a broken filling which needed to be fixed. The doctor suspected it might end up being a root canal. Since I was at the end of my first trimester of pregnancy they could not do x-rays and my doctor refused to fix the broken filling whatsoever saying I need wait until after the delivery. She kept refusing even when I wanted to do a temporary filling to make sure that I don't develop a definite root canal walking around with an open hole for 7 months. Only after I demanded talking to a different doctor, my dentist graciously agreed to put a temporary filling. read more

I have been going to Aspen since 2013. I have had both upper and lower dentures done, along with pulling of 30 teeth. The entire team here has been amazing. Thay understood my fear of the dentist and worked with that. I have been working with Tonia from day one and Dr. Umme has been amazing. I am greeted by name when I walk in the door. You can make sure that the service and products are quality. It wasn't. Please Return 2 perfectly healthy teeth that they recommended to extract (and did) for me along with a Partial. These doctor took out 3 teeth that have not healed till this day. and when everything was said and done they plopped the " oversized DENTURE" that never fit in my bloody mouth and send me on my way with a $3000 bill for garbage. They got paid almost $4500 dollars for this work. Subpar and unacceptable and totally traumatizing. This happened during the pandemic and I have been literally without been able to smile without feeling empty and uncomfortable. I cry every time I remember the stupid doctor when I asked if he thought medically this is was the best way to go.. Liar and thieves they just want the money. First, the service is actually great. Gentle and consistent staff. YMMV. However... they will convince you to go through with procedures that are completely unnecessary. Based on reviews of other locations, this practice is not unique and appears to be corporate mandate. It's down right frightening when sales drive care. Terrible terrible.. i'm so disappointed !!! Last August I went in to find out about having my six bottom teeth pulled and a set of dentures done. I was told that it would cost at least $13,000 that was with a top denture six teeth done on the bottom fillings ,route canals. I said forget it I want the top done and the six bottom teeth pulled, that would cost 6,000 that's still a lot of money when it comes out of my pocket. So I had done top fit fine but the bottom never fit correctly to this day it still doesn't fit I don't know how many times I went back and had it adjusted the bottom left side is way too short and every time I eat on that side and pinches my tongue they were filed down so much that it's impossible to wear them now. The moneyback guarantee is garbage because it's only for three months your gums are still swollen at three months. Now I'm walking around with the top plate and no bottom teeth how sad is that and I still have to pay for them don't ever go to Aspen Dental ever!!!! read more

I will never go back to this place. I had the worst experience. They rescheduled my appointment 3 times and then when I showed up for my appointment the hygenist was running 45 minutes behind. It was obvious that they had rescheduled my appointment to an earlier time so that they could leave early for the holiday weekend which meant that I had to take an entire day off of work to go to this appointment. When I arrived my hygienist was cold and unfriendly and gave me the worst cleaning I've ever had it lasted about 5 minutes. She didn't even floss my teeth she just scraped around for a little bit polish for about 5 seconds and call that close enough. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! This place took my only cash...the only cash I had on me because they charged me for a "FREE" check up and xray special they had. They wanted $75 dollars but I didn't have that much on me because I wasn't expecting a fee. I had to give them my gas money. On top of that, they told me over the phone that to have a tooth removed, it would usually cost around 153 dollars. Their quote in person..$350. Talk about Bait and Switch! Since this happened, we've all learned that Aspen Dental was caught charging people for "FREE" services. I absolutely love everyone in this office. I dropped my lower dentures on the floor, cracking them in half and they were as good as new in just a few hours. I went here for the first time right before my wedding because i had broken a tooth..they seemed nice enough so i let them talk time into a bunch more work and hundreds of dollars even after insurance. I called them recently about severe pain i was having from a abscessed wisdom tooth and they just gave me a Tylenol prescription and told me i would have to wait almost 2 weeks to get the tooth pulled, not to mention i paid them ahead of time. I ended up contacting another dental practice and they took me right away not to mention it was over $100 less for the same procedure. Now i have to wait 2 weeks to get my money back from aspen, i will not be returning here. read more

I was a little worried about going to a chain dentist office at first, but now I'm really surprised to see all of the low ratings here. While I've only had a couple of visits so far, the staff have all been super-friendly and it's a good environment to be in (I'm not always the biggest fan of dentist visits). I feel good about the care I received, which was explained well and performed competently. Worse dentist ever. I went here after my other dentist closed. There were a few issues the first time I went. First, I was overcharged by $60, which I found out later when I got my insurance info. I had to call twice to be reimbursed. Also I got a white filling, which can cause sensitivity but I didn't know that at the time. Two days after getting the filling, I started to feel intense pain so I made in appt to go back. The dentist was rude and condescending expecting me to have know that I could have pain. I thought that maybe he could have told me to expect this, especially since I asked if there was anything I needed to know about white fillings. The pain last three months! Recently a filling broke so I called to make an appointment. I spoke with the new dentist and let her know about the pain from last time. I had a few questions but it seemed like she didn't care or have time for me. They were 40 minutes late to the appointment but a few minutes of questions was unreasonable? After her extreme rudeness, i didn't feel comfortable with her working on my mouth. I spoke with the site manager who assured me that it was not ok and that she would have the owner call me. It's been a week and no call. I left in tears because of how rude the dentist was that day. Never again. Take the time to find a better dentist. They don't care at all. This place is rated minus zero. They do not honor their life time guarantee. My mother-in-law has paid over 11,000 for shoddy dentures that hurt all the time, and literally fall apart. I will be taking this issue to the BBB and action news. To take advantage of a 60 year old woman isn't right, and then put a restraining order against her for swearing at them They over charged her insurance for a procedure that should have cost a lot less, and they egged her on to a negative reaction so they would not have to honor their agreement. Aspen dental has all of there commercials with folks telling their wonderful story. Little did we know it was all fake for some cash. Just actors. I went to aspen dental and it was by far the worst experience of my life. The never did what they said they were going to do. And then tried to charge me for work that was never performed. The pain was unbearable because they did not believe me when I said I needed more novacane. It was the most painful dental experience of my life and I am now terrified to step foot in a dentists office. They are untrustworthy and just looking to do whatever they can to charge extra. Terrible customer service i witnessed their receptionist screaming at a poor old man I felt so bad for him. But he was lucky enough to walk out without allowing them to perform their fake dentistry on him. Unfortunately I was not that lucky. Dr saleems office.
