This office is a sham. Most insurance covers two preventative cleanings and X-ray per year. Aspen will deplete those two visits by not cleaning your teeth at the first appointment. They tell you they will "try" to fit you in the same day, but then admit they use both preventative appointments to just get one cleaning. The receptionist is incredibly rude and the office manager is supportive of this poor behavior. Do yourself a favor, go to a real reputable dentist who will use your visits and benefits appropriately. read more

I have my second set of dentures from Aspen in less than a year and still have no bottom teeth. There is no fit from either set of teeth that works or stays in either top or bottom I have had endless adjustments and still can't have teeth. Still can't eat most foods and my insurance paid for my dentures, plus I covered my part my co-pay and four months later I'm getting a bill from Aspen for $500. I have never reviewed a dental practice before, because I never thought it necessary, but I do this time. I decided to go to Aspen Dental because my regular dentist had gone out of network for my insurance, and Aspen was in network (which actually did not help; more on that later). From the time I walked in the door, my scam warning started flashing red in my head. I was told that for new patients, the initial exam and X-rays would be free (they were not). After the X-rays I could hear the assistants talking about my results within earshot of me in a way that seemed designed to lay the groundwork for bad news. Then the explaining came, where they told me of the major problems I supposedly had with bone loss, gum disease, etc, which would require costly procedures to address, which would largely not be covered by insurance. I had seen my regular dentist less than six months prior, with no real concerns expressed by them. My wife came along for an appointment, and they basically said she needed all her teeth removed (she does have some serious issues, but the other doctors we have seen since basically said she needs her braces removed before they can even assess the health of her teeth and gums, and certainly did not recommend having all her teeth removed). I then went back to my regular dentist, who gave both me and my wife a much less alarming assessment of our situation. It was apparent to me that Aspen Dental is spring loaded to pressure patients into agreeing to procedures that are both costly and, at least in some cases, unnecessary. Then I received a bill from them after I was told there was no charge for the first visit. I called them and they said someone from Finance or whatever would be calling me back. They never did. Subsequent research uncovered a number of complaints about them which mirrored my own (although they tout an extremely high satisfaction rate on their website). Basically, I do not view this practice as a normal, reputable dentist's office. It appears to be a business that prioritizes making money over all else. My advice: stay away! read more

You cannot get anyone to anwer the phone or call back. Have to actually drive to the office to get to speak to anyone. Now they are overcharging me on the bill, that we already paid for. They say they adjusted it. When we go to the office, Since they don't answer the phone, They tell us they have no clue what we are talking about and have no clue who the person is that we were talking to. They will not fix what they are supposed to. Again the office manager is not there. If we don't hear from them in 2 weeks, call them. Sure that will work. I had 14 teeth pulled at aspen dental on February 29 and still have bone fragments coming out of my gums and it is the middle of April I could not eat for two weeks after because I was in so much pain and they did not do anything to help me and I can't get them to answer the phone and they miss diagnosed me and said I had dry socket and I didn't read more

After waiting months for oral surgery, I contacted Cartersville Aspen and was immediately scheduled on next available date. Worst dentist I have ever been to. The dentist took at least 20 minutes of tugging on my tooth before he finally got it out. It was one of the worst dental experience I have ever had and I am 56 years old. Don't ever go here if you can help it! read more

This place is the absolute worst. If I could give zero stars I would. Aspen Dental reels you In with the "free" exams, xrays, etc., but when you finally think they are going to do what you came for them to do In the first place, they tell you that you have a multitude of other problems. I went to them to get a cleaning and a couple cavities filled, at the time I didn't have insurance, by the time I had left I was walking out with over a $900 bill that I didn't even have the money to pay for. I just went to Dr. Muller (Muller Thomas W MD, 1305 Redmond Cir, Rome, GA 30165) and he told me that I didn't have any of the problems that they said I had. They will try and tell you that you have gum disease, and that you need all these supplies and stuff to take care of it. None of it is true. They were able to take me immediately when an old crown from another dentist fell out. Kimberlee took x-rays and was pleasant and professional. Dr Self got me temporarily fixed up until they could schedule a full visit to create a new crown. It was professional and fast. Great offices and easy parking. I recommend them easily. Got my finished crown fitted and out the door in record time. It fits great and no more problems. Dr Self is great and I highly recommend him if you need a dentist. read more

My wife just came home from her first appointment crying. She wasted her whole day because they told her they will not touch her unless she lets them do a deep cleaning that her insurance will not pay for. All she wanted to get done was have a filling put in a tooth that the filling fell out of.
