Superb dental work. No doubt about that. Proactive and reactive. HOWEVER: It seems that after a procedure and payment I owed them a very small amount of money - tens of dollars. Somehow I slipped through the cracks and received no bills from them for the small amount. They claimed they sent me five bills which I never received. Checked with the wife to make sure. Aspen turned me over to a collection agency. Upon receiving the dunning letting from the collection agency I went to the Aspen offices in Palatka to pay the very small bill immediately. Funny how their bills never got to me but the debt collectors did. Upon arrival I immediately paid the arrears. My question to them was: When it became obvious that something was amiss why didn't you reach out to me by telephone or text message? A pleasant "Hey Mr Tom you still owe us $32.50. How can we clear this up?" I would have apologized and paid over the phone with a debit card immediately. Or any other way they wanted. But NO. They tuned me over to a debt collection agency. When I asked the office manager why didn't you give me a heads up courtesy call all they would say is "We sent you five letters" and then turned around and walked away. I paid the chump change bill, went home and called the debt collector and straightened that out. My next call was to a family practitioner in Palatka whose office staff assured they would always give me a heads up call first before they did anything like turning my account over to a debt collector for $30 discrepancy. read more

My family and I are now Aspen Dental patients because they offered the same services for WAY cheaper than our last dentist. Every time I went in (to my old dentist), there was always something wrong and more money we supposedly needed to pay. It would have cost around 4k to get my wisdom teeth removed at my dentist before, but now that we're at Aspen, it's less than 1.5k! This location specifically has some of the nicest workers of any dentist/doctor's office I've ever been to and the dentist himself is extremely honest about what is a concern and what isn't, so that we aren't overpaying. We drive about an hour to get there because we enjoy the service at this specific location so much and we are much happier with the results! read more

You can make your first appointment online and if you have no insurance you get a free examination and X-rays. The doctor goes over your treatment plan and alternatives. They work with Care Credit to finance those expensive needs and are kind and gentle for the squeamish (me). I'm very happy with my experience at Aspen and Dr. Kang. read more

I cannot state forcefully enough don't use Aspen Dental for teeth replacements or dentures. I went for a bridge and ended up with I thought was implants and dentures, my fault. They changed me almost $8,000 four months before the process began. When I went in the surgeon said I was only getting dentures. The office manager came in and showed me a contract that everything was paid in full but did not include implants. She said the additional costs for implants were estimated to be about $2000 each, money I didn't have after already paying $8000. I let them continue. The oral surgeon is another review altogether. Leaving their office I knew nothing of caring for my gums or the temporary dentures. I called repeatedly to get answers and got none. After a month or so I was transferred to a different technician and she was the first to give me any information. A different dentist came in and agreed the first set of temporary dentures needed to be replaced with some that fit better. The process was taking longer than initially stated and I had to move to another state. The technician said that would not be a problem. The new Aspen Dental said I owed another $1000 dollars and the account had been sent to collections and they couldn't help me, a thousand for which I never received a bill. Collections wouldn't let me dispute and said full payment still wouldn't get me my final comfylite dentures. After a year and a half my dentures, supposedly ready within six months, I still don't have. Whatever you do, find a different dental group unless you don't mind additional payments you know nothing about. read more

Don't go to the Aspen Dental in Palatka Florida! The Dentist is extremely rude and all they are interested in is money. My husband went there to get dentures and the dentist told him that he needs to find another dentist and refused to make them if he wasn't going to get a deep cleaning, a tooth pulled, cavity filled and pay for a crown. It saddens me to say as a Victim of Aspen Dental that opening your mouth to these folks could cost you a smile. I know it did for me. I had a simple crown replacement; nothing fancy right? Well in my case A$pen Dental had their hygienist place a crown in my mouth instead of a REAL dentist which cost me the tooth. Even though it was illegal AND she signed off on it that she did this, they still didn't get into trouble. I filed a complaint with the dentistry board (if you have trouble with them you need to do the same thing), but why and how they keep getting away with harming people, I don't know. What I do know is they target poor, disabled people who don't have a voice to fight back, at least most of the time.
