The dentist is exceptional and the staff is very good and friendly. I was impressed until I received my first invoice. There were 4 unknown charges for $254. They send you home with a bag of toothpaste and mouthwash that were very very expensive. Also included in the bag were a sonic toothbrush and water pick. Everything just goes on your bill or gets charged to your account without your knowledge. I went to Aspen a total of 3 times and not once was my appointment on time. I am happy with the service I received but not enough to get taken advantage of. 5 star because my general dentist was amazing. I never got her name even after 4 visits. But she had the first stall in the back. She is very caring and gentle. She explains and walks you through everything in detail. 3 stars because of the wait from the Doctors. They seem to always be in a rush to get the job done but very slow at tending to their patients. I had my wisdom teeth extracted and the entire time, I was a bit nervous as Dr. Hala kept looking up and away from my mouth while so working to extract my teeth all just to have a conversation with an intern about shopping and deals on purses. Not sure if her distraction caused two needles to break in my mouth but it was nerve wrecking. On top of that, my mouth wasn't even fully numb yet prior to her starting the work. Eventually the pain lessened as my extraction continued. My last visit today was scheduled for 2pm. I got there 10 mins early as usual. Checked in and was taken to the back around 2:05p. I was put into an exam room to get my fillings, however waited for almost 40 mins. As minutes went by, i couldn't help but walk to the front desk to ask for a cancelation since it seems i was either forgotten or they were too busy to see me. After canceling all my appointments and asked for a full refund since i had prepaid for a years plan, the dental assistant came to look for me and asked what was going on. The clerk told get I'm leaving because i had somewhere else to be at and wouldn't make it on time due to the delay of their service. They asked to reschedule but i politely declined and asked for a refund. The delay and over lapping of scheduling caused me to leave Aspen Dental. I wish i could stay with my dental hygenist because she's super sweet. But i couldn't stand the unprofessionalism from the doctors. We pay for their service and take time out of work to be there on their schedule. Yet we are left forgotten and are waiting for extended time. And to note. I was extra charged without knowing i was extra charged due to the sweet dental hygenist telling me. She was able to get me a refund. Then again, as i canceled my plan with them, i later find out, i was being extra charged for work but it wasn't going to be brought to my attention and they had planned to set the money aside for future work. Look at your bill and question them if you are on a plan. Make sure that you're being charged for what's being done and not more. I went to Aspen in April of this year to get 3 filings. Now, 6 months later, I had to go back to the dentist (chose elsewhere this time) as the filing Aspen put in one of my teeth was hurting. The new dental place said the filing isn't attached! It's just moving around causing more pain and more cavity. I will never go to Aspen again and will let anyone know the same. read more

if I could give a less than one star i would. I purchased dentures from aspen dental in November or December of 2024.i could only afford the cheaper ones in which I still had to get some financing for an almost $3000 pair of dentures in which I have had to go back multiple times because they don't fit right. They still don't fit properly. i cannot eat with them due to them not fitting. when I call, they NEVER ANSWER their phone or return calls; and when I am able to get a hold of someone, they seem like they have to put me on hold all the time. It takes more than 3 weeks at a time to get me into get adjustments. i haven't been happy at all. I cannot wear them at all. They refuse to give refunds. It wasn't easy to get my dentures paid for especially since i have a 3-year-old son. I just wish they would fit properly to eat with them. I do understand that it is a process to learn to eat but when you have tried all things to get them to stay down on both sides especially the lowers. It's pretty frustrating. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE TO GET DENTURES! I would actually give a -5 star in my opinion. read more

As of today I no longer will recommend Aspen Dental to anyone. I have one of higher priced dentures. I have had to have teeth put back in because they fell out. Today I go to have another put back in and was told I need to see the dentist in order to have it put back in. So they have a new policy. Seems to me they just want more money. Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures on their website. Waited at the counter for five minutes and no one waited on me. Phone was ringing off the hook and in another office some guy was answering the calls. No front desk presence at all. Why not sit at reception desk and a greet client and answer the phone. I think it's called multitasking. They had the TV on full blast with the show Flip or Flop on, so annoying. Left the office before appointment and called them from the parking lot to cancel. She apologized, did not try to salvage the appointment. Why take late afternoon appointments if you can't cover the shift. Failed miserably on first impressions. Another thing when I went to book appointment I told them I wanted a cleaning. When I called to confirm she said it was just an exam and X-rays. Since I was a new patient the Dr has to examine me first. I told her that is not how it is with any other dentist. The hygienist cleans your teeth and then the dr examines you. Do I really have time for two appts. Then she proceeded to tell me that 75% if adults suffer from gingivitis and I must be examined first. Horrible experience. Referred me to andondontist for root canal which was promptly completed. Aspen was supposed to follow up to build crown within 30 days. After at least 14 calls, all of which went to Aspen Dental voice-mail, I never received a reply. I stopped in and spoke to desk clerk who appeared frustrated when she heard story, she apologized and was embarrassed it seemed. Said office manager would call. That call never came. All my calls were logged on paper for posterity sake. I called adodontist only to learn they'd received calls from other Aspen customers who received the same mistreatment as I did. I've made appointment with new dentist and I'm certain this has caused my tooth to decay leaving no room to build the crown upon. Beware of Aspen Dental in Onalaska. Just had the worst experience at your facility after finding out the my appointment was cancelled after driving over an hour to just get a SIMPLE exam. I confirmed my appointment via text and through a reminder email that I received Monday from your office. Yet STILL IT WAS CANCELLED!? The bland front desk girl working explained that it's because it's procedure with new patients because you have to explain how your facility works? You're a dentist office, it's not rocket science. I understood everything from your website and email, completed the new patient required documents prior to my appointment, and arrived ready to just have one of your mediocre dentists poke in my mouth and take x-rays. Now, I have to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks to get an appointment, request ANOTHER day off from work, and travel another hour and a half for an appointment that should have been done today. Your procedures are redundant and flawed. Why the hell should a patient have to confirm via text, email, and phone correspondence to secure an appointment? They shouldn't. Thanks for a complete waste of my time. I will be reporting this with my chain of command at Fort McCoy and my insurance companies, Tricare and United Concordia to ensure future patients are directed elsewhere. Aspen Dental offered a "Free dental day for VETS". What a fantastic way to give back to the community and veterans both and on a Saturday no less. What a teriffic thing to do and this VET is very, very greatfull. Entered the building and discovered a table covered with cupcakes, cheese, sliced meats, crackers and many other goodies which I had to pass on as I had brushed and flossed before arriving, but did enjoy some on the way out. Kudos ladies, you were very kind to do that. After passing the table full of delicious looking treats I was immediately greeted by a very nice lady at the counter. She instructed me on the forms necessary for dental work (HIPA etc.) and right after filling out the forms she took me into a room for x-rays then escorted me to a nice room with big windows and a private tv which I barely watched for a minute before the wonderful ladies came in and started assessing my teeth and beginning the task at hand. I know that they must have completed an easy $1,000.00 worth of dental work that I had been putting off and what a fantastic job they did. The staff was very kind yet professional. caution please read so here it is again i went to aspen dental in onalaska wi in 2019 for a simple check up and then in 2022 i had called them to see if they would send a referal to a certin oral surgion they said because some time had passed since my visit that i would need to come in again and get checked out then they would do the rereal well i went in got checked out and asked for a rereal because the oral surgion needed that from me they were relucdant to do the refural after a couple days i called them to ask if they sent it and they said that i needed to sign a release so i had to drive 20 miles to sign that that would have been handy to know before i left the office anyways i signed it and asked how long it would take the office manager told me that they do not do the refurals in house and it would be done by corprate that is either the stupidest thing i have heard or they were just flat out lieing to me witch i beleave they were doing needless to say the refural was never sent i tried calling just today and the phone was not working pricees were sky high again this time they told me it would be 12 grand to do the work they do not take my insurance that is why i asked to be refured to the oral surgion that does office manager was very rude and condisending short temper please do not go there dont waste ur time and money on thier service i hope this helps people reading this i do not recomend this place to anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I cringe every time Aspen Dental commercials air. Don't believe these false adds. They claim to guarantee dentures will fit, that they have on-site work to fit them to you. Not true! After complaining on three different visits they finally told me I would need to use denture paste! On newly created (by them) dentures. The whole experience was like being on a factory line. I only saw the "dentist" on the initial visit, when my teeth were pulled, and once after. I question the title dentist because when I went to the pharmacy to fill her prescriptions, I was told they couldn't fill them because she wasn't licensed to write prescriptions! read more

New to the area and needed to establish a new dentist. Needed to have a tooth pulled because I was in pain. Called before they were open and left a voicemail, no call back 3 hours after they opened. Ended up going to the location 30 min away instead of the one 5 min away. 4 months later needed to go back again for more dental work, called the location 5 min away to get transferred over and left a voicemail again. 3 days later, still no call back. We will never go back there again. When we did get the tooth pulled, it was a pain trying to get any answers about details of the charges. They also handed me an electronic toothbrush and said here you go, this is for you. Don't accept it, they charged us $135 and never told us. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My first visit was for a denture hard reline; when I walked out, I had a set of dentures that (for the first time ever) fit amazingly well. He took about 45 minutes to fit them, using some paste that showed him exactly where things rubbed, and allowed him to fit the dentures by slowly grinding away, a little at a time. In the end, they fit perfectly. The second time I went in for a re-line I said to the office staff when I scheduled the appointment that I needed them done that day, and that I needed time to have them fit after the re-line. An early morning appt. was scheduled so I'd have them back in a couple of hours. They failed to schedule time to have them fit after. When I got my denture back, I could not even get it IN MY MOUTH (and I knew this would happen, hence the request for time to have them fit). The dentist (some young kid) simply smoothed out the entire interior of the denture making them easy to get in, and removing all contours that would provide a seal - when I opened my mouth, they literally fell to my tongue. She was in such a hurry (another employee was waiting outside the door to my room, for to go to lunch) that she just indiscriminately ground away all the plastic. In addition to this, they were sandy and gritty all over. Really, the teeth, the plastic "gums" even in the middle, where they should seal to my palate, all felt like they were part of a sand painting. I complained and sent them back 3 or 4 times, and gave up. When I complained, I got another appointment, and the same dentist offered to grind away more, and I just walked out. She was sassy, and arrogant, and childish. She interrupted me and it was awful. So, I complain again, that I'm having headaches and gagging and so on and that my teeth are rough and chafing the inside of my lips. They offer me another appointment with another dentist. So I go again, and she puts in a soft liner, and that's helpful, only when she sends it back to the lab to be trimmed up, they create all these sharp edges and actually manage to fold some of the liner into the denture so it doesn't fit AGAIN! They just cut that part out, and tell me to use adhesive. When I ask the dentist to send the teeth back to the lab to be polished, because there are sharp parts, and gritty, sandy, parts, and actually soft liner lodged in the cracks between teeth and in the molars, they come back and the teeth have divots ground out of them. I complain, again, and they say that it will eventually be polished smooth by eating ... again to the lab and back 3 or 4 times. The last time, the person in the lab actually rolled their eyes at me and sighed. So, after THREE trips to the dentist, I have dentures that fit worse than when they started, and are now sandy, sharp and abrasive. The office manager came in and asked me to pay for the procedure ahead of time. This, even when I have dual dental insurance that has always covered 100%They said that I would still owe $135, on a procedure totaling just less than $300. I said that I should owe nothing. Then, just before my second visit, the office manager comes in and says that my primary paid $112, and my secondary paid $53. So I would owe $133, can I pay that before I see the dentist please? I say no, between my primary and secondary, I will owe nothing. I also say that I'll call my insurance and ask what's the issue. When I get home and call, my primary has, indeed paid 80%, but the check had only gone out the day before, and the secondary had not yet even gotten billing from Aspen - Much less paid anything. Given what I was told, and what I found in my online EOB from my insurance companies, I can only conclude that they are intentionally fraudulent. The numbers that they gave me in the office bore no resemblance to reality, and were intended to get me to pay more than I should. DO NOT GO TO ASPEN DENTAL. read more

The most frustrating experience. I was asked to pay for my daughter's dental work. They are unable to provide me with an itemized receipt for everything I paid for. Now my FSA account is suspended and I was likely over billed. Then I went into the dentist for myself and asked for itemized bill they charged me an extra 52 dollars. Later when filing my claim I realized this and they told me it was for my daughter's x-rays. I have an high option dental insurance that covers x-rays 100%. I called insurance they said yes she is covered and the dental clinic can call them. I went back to Aspen dental they said there is nothing they can do and I'll have to wait. I never had anything like this before. I won't be going back. read more

These Aspen Dental websites only post the good reviews on their sites. But there are bad reviews on them all across the internet. The only way you are put first and treated like somebody is during an appointment. At all other times, your situation is put on hold or not even answered at all. And don't expect to eat anything, including something as simple as pudding, when first getting your immediate dentures. I am so swollen up that no matter how they adjust them, I can't eat anything with them in and they sit crooked. I have been expected to continue to deal with that until some of the swelling goes down so they can adjust it better, but in the meantime I have to eat. So the dentures are out of my mouth most of the time so I can talk better and eat, even if I still have to eat soft food, at least I can eat it. Even with them dentures in I couldn't even do that. Don't rely on these people for your care. But I am sure if you made a few hundred thousand dollars a year that they probably would put you first. And if you have major work done to you, such as pulling half your teeth out, make sure you ask for someone with a few years of experience in doing it as the guy who did mine looked really young and needed the more experienced dentist to come and help him extract some of the harder teeth he had a harder time with. I've also got a huge hole in my head where one of the molars were removed. That area was not sown up. Went to ER when I put my finger in it and felt bone that had not been covered over when they did the removal and I had started bleeding just a bit. I kept getting food stuck in that hole as I cannot eat with my dentures in, so I have to have my dentures out to eat and yet there is this big hole that keeps getting food jammed in it. I had tried getting a dentist to contact me one night recently through emergency services line for over 2 hrs, but she didn't. Waited over two hrs, and still no call from dentist before I went to ER. But no one informed me at the dentist office the day the procedure was done on me about why there would be a big hole from the removal and why it wasn't sown up. No one explained any of this to me when I had half my teeth removed. Apparently the blood clot that was supposed to have been in the big hole they didn't cover up, had come out, I feel bone in there, and I bled a little yesterday. The hole is the size of the big molar they took out. I keep getting food jammed in there. They also left teeth in me for a few weeks that they knew were abscessed teeth. When I called emergency service line a few weeks ago, they actually got the dentist on the line THAT particular time, then she had me come in that Monday, as this was over the weekend a few weeks ago, and they finally removed those two abscessed teeth while I was waiting for all the other bad teeth to be removed. While waiting for all these teeth to finally be removed, I kept going on and off antibiotics for about a month and a half during the time they knew me, sometimes ER prescribed it, sometimes dentist. Kept fighting infections. But was not considered immediate while waiting for my crappy dentures to be made. So suffered it out waiting for the dentures, and yet I can't wear them in order to eat. Aspen Dental makes it sound they will work with you and it is cheap to get dentures They want a huge amount 2000 up front and then when the process of getting your dentures takes multiple appointments, staff is rude and then they tell you they want another 1500. I only give a one because zero is not an option. My two adult children made appointments here as first time patients. What was not told to them when they scheduled the appointments that they may have to wait an hour to an hour and a half or even longer to even get in once they arrived. It appears that new patients get scheduled around surgeries as a filler. And they don't know how long those surgeries will take. Entire office staff also very rude. I had cleaning scheduled for March 2017. Called them before cleaning to verify cost. They re-scheduled for May 25, 2 months later. So I traveled 45 minutes to go to cleaning today and was told they had no hygentist and had called and told me they cancelled the appointment. If they had called I would not have been standing in front of the desk with a young girl who kept insisting they had called me. Their costs are more in the end than the original costs quoted. That is why I called them again after the original exam and follow-up cleaning over a year ago. I am not happy with them. read more

I have had nothing but an absolute positive experience here with Dr.Feilen and all of the amazing staff. Everyone here spends the time needed to answer all questions and concerns. When having to make major dental decisions, this is crucial. I came here to get a second opinion and have since become a patient. My appointments have always been on time. Everyone has been pleasant, caring, kind and very helpful. Dr. Feilen has been supportive, answered all of my questions and made sure I was happy with my services. I am not happy with me experience with this dentist. I spend a lot of money to get me teeth fixed and I don't feel I got my moneys worth out of this. I did end up getting dentures and having nothing but trouble with the bottom plate I have been in there couple times and I still cant wear them. I cant get them to understand they are to big for my mouth the make me gag. I feel after spending 4200. to get mouth fixed I should be able to wear my bottom teeth, a lot of money to set in the cup. read more
