Today I had three appointments in one day. Been waiting a month for this treatment, and the doctors and nurses were lovely as always... except the last one. He moved my head without telling me, he was grinding away at my upper teeth, and I stopped him asking what's he doing - he's only supposed to work on my lower back molar. So I really didn't like that. Then he told me why. But most of the time he was doing things without telling me why he was doing things. He even gave me an injection and I asked him after what the heck was in it... it was to stop the bleeding, but still, a warning would be appreciated. ugh! The staffs and doctors here are nice to you. But the problems lie behind those smiles. Came in trying to fix the cracks on my teeths, but end up paying for a whole mouth service. Agreed to pay for my whole service in cash asking them thats all I had to pay. They agreed and said yes, but after finishing, they sent a mail to my house saying i need to pay more money that i owed. Smells robbery? Mind you they took over a year to finish my teeth. Called me in multiple times and sent me home saying they thought they had the materials but they didnt. I wasted so much time going here and trusting in them. But they still wanna rob me afterwards. My teeth starts to crack months afterward as well. Goes tk show their works doesnt last. Save your money and go somewhere else or record everything and have receipts of all your payments and agreements even after a year because that happened to me and i threw the documents away. read more

They're basically liars. I made an appointment with them specifically told them I want to check up and cleaning done. After the checkup was done, the dentist said we'll reschedule you for your cleaning and the filling. I said wait a minute. I came in here to get the cleaning done. They told me you can get done today. The dentist then said oh I'm sorry that's our call center. They do that all the time. That's not my problem. That's your problem. I was very disappointed with Aspen dental. My partial had a clean break, the last tooth which had been added on originally broke off. It had done that once before and they had glued it back on which lasted 9 months. I wanted them to do that again and they refused. This partial is very comfortable and I don't want to have another one made because I tried doing that and after spending a large amount of money it didn't fit right after two different impressions . read more

The worst service I have ever received. I purchased dentures back in 2019 when they pulled 22 teeth out of me. I have since been thru 14 sets of repairs for my uppers because they continue to break in half. I had bought the extended repair and replacement thank goodness, but instead of making a new set because as you get older your mouth changes and they are supposed to care and want to get you fitted so breaking will not accrue often! Well, they asked if I would try a metal mesh they incorporate into the denture for only $250 LOL! Well, I called back before they did the repair and told them I would wait till my warranty was about to expire. Long story short they made them anyways. I argued with them that I didn't feel I should have to pay for them because of their lack of communication. They have sense denied any repair even though the dentures have snaped in half again. So instead of fixing them I will have to pay $250 that I didn't want to pay beginning so I can be able to eat, and almost speak properly, not that they ever were fitted right from the start since I whistle when I talk. Aggressive sales tactics. Friendly office environment but don't be fooled. I did all the exams suggested but I noticed others in the visiting room beside medical staff. After the run down of what was needed this gentleman took me in a office and I felt like I was buying a new car. Total bill was over 4k. I asked for a break down of the charges and stated what I was ready to pay for at the moment. I told the gentleman that due to I need a partial, I don't like the wire that goes around my own permanent teeth and he stated "oh, no problem, we don't use those types of wire anymore. We used supplies that matches the gums". We'll, that was true. I was told by the dentist that once the extraction was complete they would have the temporary dentures finished and ready to be installed. That was the truth either. It took a week. I was very understanding. Mind you I paid TOTAL COST with no payment plan nor financing. Once I received the dentures. They would not fits AT ALL. So that dentist came in a forced them in and I screamed and immediately "I" had to pull them out because of extreme pain and asked are you sure these are mines. The dentist said she has to modify them. They tried several of times drilling and filing and it still felt painfull and felt like I had at least 4 bottle caps in my mouth. Embras Embarrassed to tell them that I was still uncomfortable. The salesman came in and said I did not tell you that the temporary dentures would have the invisible wire only the permanent ones. My mouth dropped in disbelief. I stated to the "saleman" Sir, yes you did and we went back and forth yesing and doing like toddler until eventually I stated, What reason would I have to lie on you, what would I gain. The dentist walked in between us to stop the confrontation and he walk away without a resolution. After, that the dentures was still very uncomfortable the dentist stated that I must wear them to get use to them. I attempted to complain again and the dentist said make another appt and we will start from the beginning and do another impression. I went home with them and could not take the pain anymore and removed the from my mouth. I returned the appointment date and I guess no one rembered what was said because they took the dentures and began filing the same dentures again until they filed the teeth themselves down to nubs and left gap everywhere until I tried to sip water with them in and almost chocked because the water went on top of the dentures and back down the back and came across the gag which made me cough bad. Then I was still believing in them because I was so happy to have crushers that was missing for years. The dentist states it may several more adjustment to make them comfortable. Third visit a second person came in after more filing and stated she will add some cushion and it should feel better and OH MY JESUS, I thought I was getting another extraction without numbing medicine. The bottom are lose and the top made my gum very very sore. Now, I am stuck with dentures that cost $675 and no use. Then the have the nerves to say come back for the permanent ones. I can say the oral surgeon and the front office staff can have a five stars but the rest get a thumbs down. In all I would not suggest this office to no one. read more

This is not my dentist and I'm trying to delete the post but I'm unable to do so.......................

I went as a first time customer over the weekend because after talking with receptionist I was in their network. I scheduled a check-up over the weekend and although Aspen took the time to take x-rays, and had both the dentist and hygienist review my x-rays. The person assigned to prepare my estimate said due to not having a way to talk with my ins, he won't be able to prepare an estimate for the work they wanted to do. (An establishment that accepts your ins should have the actual cost based on a standard amount and experiences with my ins). I was then told by assigned person Aspen needs to request a treatment payment plan, and my estimated cost would be a little over 5K under my ins. From Saturday and 2 weeks later, I never heard back from Aspen or my ins. I decided to first contact my ins. I asked my ins if they received a request or heard anything from Aspen. They checked and said nothing was submitted or received from Aspen. Not hearing anything after two weeks to then find out nothing was submitted was a RED FLAG. I never had a problem with this process from any other dental establishments. I then contacted Aspen and spoke to the same person who apparently works as a receptionist too and who was assigned to prepare my treatment plan quote given to me was a little over 5K. This same person over the phone, told me it takes one month for an ins co to respond. I said really? I told him I just got off the phone with my ins and this was not true, in fact my ins said they don't require a pre-treatment report and again nothing was sent to them. He then told me over the phone the cost is now 16K, 11k more??? I then was asked to make a payment upfront in order for him to make my appointment. This is when I looked up Aspen reviews and glad I did. I walked away from Aspen before it was too late. Do your research before moving to Aspen Dental. read more

I have been wondering 7 months since I visited my first and last time if I can still sue the dentist for malpractice. The photos I can post is the emergency room notes of a broken haw and severed nerve which has still left half my face paralyzed and still unable to work. Okay I had an infection in my tooth. I went to Aspen and had to pay $1,500.00 to remove 3 teeth. (This was without insurance). Though let me point out I really needed the top tooth extracted and bottom two possibly. (The doctor said he did not know which tooth is infected despite the x-rays so to pull 3 teeth. I did make a huge exclamation on how fast the extraction was and was shocked. I went home with the mouth numb. The next day I had to call them to remind them I am in pain and they forgot to order me medicine for me to use after such a major surgery. By Friday I was in horrid pain, did not get my pain medicine or Amoxicillan and needed to go to the emergency room, after Aspen Dental had the gall to say they would have to charge me to go in and have the dentist look me over. No way! So, 4 days later in the ER I have proof of a broken jaw and severed nerve which caused Belk's Palsy. Today 6 months later I still can't work because of the dizziness and my mouth where he removed my teeth keep getting infected. I have to get eye surgery and mouth surgery and thank God the hospital blessed me with not having to pay the er bills ad I had no job and they know it was the fault of the dentist. I posted a review: I thought I liked this location because the dental hygienist is amazing. However my interactions with The Lead Male Dentist were less than subpar. He put some crowns in my mouth and less than 2 years later one of my crowns fell out. He had a hard time looking me in the eye to tell me it wasn't covered and that I had to pay for a new one.. after the front desk told me I wouldn't have to pay for it. How is he not embarrassed to charge me? First of all he put my crown in wrong in the first place. They're supposed to last for 12-15 years, not less than 2. No honor of work.. Then the low integrity and the sleaziness of trying to milk me for money? No thank you. I hope his mother reads this review. Id rather go pay full price with someone new, with a moral compass and some integrity who will likely do it right the first time, and also care about the human beings they are treating if they make a human mistake. This guy has me thinking he does subpar work on purpose. Some people lose themselves in the face of greed and ego. I definitely recommend that if you do decide to go to the Ocoee location you steer clear of The Lead Male Dentist. I'm still shocked at how the entire staff is so comfortable with the narrative they're asked to deliver to their clients regarding patient care and financial responsibility. It's seems like the motto is... deliver false words, not quality. There are so many other professionals with ethics and integrity to put your well being in someone who has proven they are not capable on many levels. I had been to Aspen near downtown Orlando and had a great experience but the Ocoee location was awful. I had to go to this location to get my wisdom teeth removed. The two nurses were very rude and unprofessional. They were talking about their personal lives and how much someone else had bled in another room. They were not speaking to me and I felt ignored but also gross, I don't want to hear that when I'm about to have a procedure done. I know they do this everyday and it is routine for them but I was scared! This was a big deal for me. They couldn't answer any of my questions and seemed like they had no idea what they were talking about. My appt only took about thirty minutes, which I was grateful for. However, they told my husband to take me straight to the pharmacy as I would need to be there to pick up my prescription with my ID. Well, they forgot to send it over and I didn't need to be there because it was just ibuprofen. Would never recommend this location and am considering not going back to Aspen at all. Your nurses have horrible bedside manner and should be trained better. read more

First time at the W Colonial Rd location. Everyone there was so nice and professional. I had cracked a tooth and was leaving to go out of town and Dr Shenouda worked me in for a last minute crown. Everyone went out of their way to get my tooth fixed and to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. Special shout out to Kaitlyn for being so kind in taking care of me. I highly recommend this practice. All of the staff...from front desk to dentist...were kind, compassionate and patient. Dr. Mena Shenouda is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to see. He always let me know what was about to happen, talked me through it, gave me multiple breaks, encouraged me and didn't make me feel embarrassed or ashamed of my panic attacks/fear of the dentist. My teeth are shit. I don't take care of them like I should bc of my fear of the dentist. Over several visits, he and Brooke (AMAZING!!!), removed a few teeth, put on some crowns and fixed me up to the best that I can be. I wish I could say it wasn't expensive....but it was....for the 6 crowns and all the visits and a bit of work on a few more teeth, I paid 9k. This isn't their fault. This is the going rate for dental work and materials. How I wish our country had a better health care system. I wish dental insurance was as important as health care for your entire body. All insurance for teeth has a max that they will pay...so why pay the $100s in premiums just to "save" about 1k (max payout). I promise to go in for my every 6 month cleanings moving forward to hopefully stop the major work going forward. I highly recommend Dr. Shenouda. Brooke is sweet as pie.
