Terrible experience with Aspen Dental on Niagara Falls Blvd, next to WellNow Urgent Care. I went in for a check-up in January, which included X-rays and a consultation--that part was fine. The problems started with the actual dental work. In February, I had a cleaning and two fillings scheduled. The hygienist was extremely rough during the cleaning, leaving my mouth sore for hours. Worse, my teeth still had visible plaque, which I had to scrape off myself. The filling appointment was even worse. The dentist pushed hard for an unnecessary root canal (likely for profit), in which I'm not doing because it's not good for your health , and the procedure left me in pain for weeks. I couldn't eat on that side of my mouth, and now I feel sharp pain with hot/cold food or flossing. I didn't go back for my second filling because of the pain and trauma from what feels like an exposed nerve. The work felt rushed, and the dentist seemed annoyed the entire time. She was huffing and puffing. It's now May, and I have to find a new dentist to fix their mistakes because I'm still in pain. This place cares more about money than patient care. read more

0 stars. My Father in law was in this week for a tooth extraction and ended up having 5 teeth removed. My father in law uses Medical transport to be picked up for his appointments. The driver said he was given no plan of care for at home. He received no extra gauze ,or even instructions for after care . He resorted to using paper towels for the bleeding . Working for an oral surgeon I know what is supposed to be sent home with a patient. Also his pain meds were not called in and he had to wait 24 hours before they were delivered to his home and was in excruciating pain. This is no way to treat an elderly person, let alone anyone. This office told me I had 4 cavities that needed to be filled. I was a bit spectacle because a year ago I was completely free of cavities. I decided to not go forward and fill these "cavities" and booked an appointment with my dentist on Long Island to get a second opinion. Lo and behold, 0 cavities. All this place cares about is money. Called and they set up and appointment super fast. I wanted a basic cleaning that was fully covered by my insurance. x-rays, sure np, get that money, checkup, sure get that money, basic cleaning... DENIED. we care too much for you, bla, bla, bla, we don't care if you can't afford to pay the difference, we will not give you a basic cleaning, but we'll take that full insurance coverage for the x-ray, np. I have been going to aspen for a couple years now and I don't think I'll ever be going anywhere else. The staff is always very friendly, patient, and they give you lots of information. Recently I had to get a wisdom tooth removed by an oral surgeon, his name was Dr. Tin. Dr. Tin said I was the first person that ever told him the numbing shot didn't hurt! He did so great! He had the tooth out in literally 10 seconds and I was good to go. His assistant was so incredibly friendly. One of the things he first said to me and it stays in my mind, "We are here for you" (he could tell I was nervous lol) and after the tooth was moved he let me sit for a minute to catch my breath (I was a shaking sally at this point haha) The office is always very clean! Everything is still new and fresh- they haven't been there too long. read more

I went in as a new patient for a cleaning only, after 45 minutes of x-rays the dentist came in and Said I need a periodontal cleaning when I said no he asked if I wanted some form of Invisalign braces. Once again, I said no I only want a cleaning his reply was sorry we can't help you. I asked why if it was because I refuse the other two treatments he said yes. I find this be totally unacceptable and unacceptable. I would not recommend them to anybody at all. The office was dirty. The floor was sticky. I was at the Blaisdell office in the McKinley mall. If I could give them no stars I would. I used to like it there until they messed up my fillings which kept falling out which I told them which ones they wanted me to do new exam like no I am not. They wanted to pull teeth so they have to do fillings.All they care is getting money. The new receptionist is very rude and ignorant. This place is a scam if I could give it zero stars I would they straight lied to me about a bone eating infection, as well as a cracked filling and tried charging my 1700$ to scrape my gums all the way down and to inject antibiotics. I got a second opinion, I have zero fillings let alone a cracked one and I have no infection no cavities nothing. These people are terrible and are only trying to put money in their pocket at cost of your un needed pain, time, and over charging for all of it. read more

I had upper and lower dentures done here and I am miserable with the results. Everyone is SO friendly there, but the work was awful. My upper and lowers are 2 drastically different colours and my upper front teeth are way off centre. My results are so bad that I have had family and friends comment on my mouth....and not in a positive way. Just be careful. read more

I made an appointment with Aspen for my husband because the facility was semi-wheelchair accessible. We arrived in the rain at 1:45pm for a 2:00pm appt. The doors were locked. I pounded on the glass hoping to alert someone to let us in. No one responded though twice Dr. Bob walked past without even acknowledging us. Finally after several minutes the receptionist comes out to unlock the door apologizing saying everyone was at lunch and they don't like to leave the doors unlocked. After entering I counted no less than nine staff. I never heard of a facility where everyone takes their lunch at the same time. Oh, and another thing- the smoke alarm kept beeping in the waiting area. Since when do new buildings have battery operated smoke alarms. I recommend you find another seasoned facility. Now that I learned if u give an attitude and complaining about things they will serve you first. I had an appointment at 1 and I'm the first one checked in, this guy came in right after me says he had an appointment at 1:30 but front desk told him he can come in early. So he's acting like he's angry, some moments later he got the first service. Then it's another lady walked in after him. I waited till 1:35 to get called. I heard the guy complaining n I'm not stupid, I guess if u act like not easy to deal with and ur white so u can get ur services real quick. I docked 1 star bec I feel the pricing should be a bit more affordable and the hygienist stabbed my gums a couple times but otherwise a very wonderful place to deal with. STAY AWAY!!!!! I would give them no stars at all if it was an option. We went to Aspen because it was a brand new facility and my 17 yo son needed to transition from a pediatric dentist. His last pediatric dental visit was 8 months ago with a clean bill of oral health. After his exam we didn't even get to talk to the dentist, we were taken to the Business manager who explained that he had 9 cavities and needed a root canal and a crown. REALLY???? Additionally it was going to be over $1000 more than the insurance would cover. No way!! We took him and the xrays back to the pediatric dentist who did another xray and exam. SURPRISE!!! One tiny little cavity that didn't even need to be addressed just yet and NO ROOT CANAL!! Read the reviews....THOUSANDS of people across the country have experienced the same issue with Aspen Dental.
