The problems started with the actual dental work. In February, I had a cleaning and two fillings scheduled. The hygienist was extremely rough during the cleaning, leaving my mouth sore for hours. Worse, my teeth still had visible plaque, which I had to scrape off myself. The filling appointment was even worse. The dentist pushed hard for an unnecessary root canal (likely for profit), in which I'm not doing because it's not good for your health , and the procedure left me in pain for weeks. I couldn't eat on that side of my mouth, and now I feel sharp pain with hot/cold food or flossing. I didn't go back for my second filling because of the pain and trauma from what feels like an exposed nerve. The work felt rushed, and the dentist seemed annoyed the entire time. She was huffing and puffing. It's now May, and I have to find a new dentist to fix their mistakes because I'm still in pain. This place cares more about money than patient care.

The driver said he was given no plan of care for at home. He received no extra gauze ,or even instructions for after care . He resorted to using paper towels for the bleeding . Working for an oral surgeon I know what is supposed to be sent home with a patient. Also his pain meds were not called in and he had to wait 24 hours before they were delivered to his home and was in excruciating pain. This is no way to treat an elderly person, let alone anyone. This is very shameful.

However, I cannot express how corrupt this man has become due to coronavirus. I told him that I had a decaying wisdom tooth that was becoming progressively worse/had a 99 degree temp. and he refused to prescribe me antibiotics for three days because I had to "make sure I did not have coronavirus first." Then, he told me that he would allow his son to see me so I can get X-Rays to determine if I had an emergency. On the morning I was supposed to go in (after driving almost 3 hours to get to his office), he dropped me as a patient and said to find someone else (knowing that no dentists are taking on new patients). He also said that decaying teeth are not an emergency (despite another OMFS saying otherwise) and that the CDC does not allow them to do tooth removals at this moment in time... All lies. Do not trust this man, he should be reported to the dental/medical board for malpractice.

I show up a couple minutes early and they are right back getting scene. This is usually unheard of in a medical office. If you are looking for a pediatric dentist I highly recommend this place.

So, my daughter was very nervous and also has sensory challenges, which made a very stressful situation for her. Dr. Amy was amazing! She talked to my daughter so respectfully and lovingly. She tried to empower my daughter and give her confidence - She never once looked impatient or made my daughter feel bad about crying and being so anxious. That's not just a fantastic dentist, that's a beautiful person! Also, Dr. Amy's entire staff was wonderful. I don't know her name, but the assistant in the room was so calming, and a total Pro. Kate on the phones is a class act - never made me feel uncomfortable about asking questions and was extremely helpful. Amherst, which on a good day is a 45 minute drive with Transit road lights and traffic. But, after seeing how skilled Dr. Amy and her team are, I would certainly drive even further.
