Service was good but the prices are crazy. Im sure they do good work but I just dont have that kind of money laying around.

Went in there twice to find out about a specials for teeth 50 dollars a year, with 15 to 20 percent discount, One lady that worked there said everything was a fixed price root canals implants ext ext, today it was a different story from another lady, when asked the prices with discount she said everything different and there is no set price and I'd have to see the dentist first before anything so That's, why il never switch to them even though there closer !!! read more

I had a root canal done here less than a year ago and my crown already popped off. I went to a different dentist because the dentist here was incredibly rude and rushed the whole process. Turns out that I have to have a retreatment done because he failed to fully remove the infected tissue. When I arrived I was in the waiting area waiting to check in while there were others checking out at the desk. The dentist came out and said "I'm leaving early since my last appointment didn't show up." From the very beginning he was ready to get out of there. I needed several numbing shots and he sighed every time he had to do it again. It was obviously well known to the staff that this dentist is rude. When he walked away the hygienists said "can you believe he actually said please and thank you?" I HIGHLY recommend you avoid going here!! read more

Horrible experience at Aspen Dental Mattoon, IL today. Wanting Dentures so I went on internet search and Aspen website had 20% off of dentures til the end of the month. I have two broken teeth and wanted to go ahead and get dentures. With 20% that will help. I mentioned the 20% off when making appointment. The whole experience of just getting x-rays and seeing dentist for getting dentures was an hour and half. Then finally going to person for prices at the end, she gives a sheet saying it will be a total over $11,000 ! I knew dentures would be around $3,000, pulling around $3,000 But had no idea it would be over $11,000. And nothing about discount, either. She argued that she never saw any 20% discounts on the site for dentures. I showed her my pictures of it that I took incase they didn't believe me. So in other words she's calling me a liar or Aspen has a scam going on. Here is what it said under the 20% add, nothing about restrictions on what offices. ***** ¹Not valid for previous or ongoing work and cannot be combined with other discounts or dental discount programs. Do not do it! schedule somewhere else. did not bother to check or call my insurance to see that my cleaning was supposed to be free and charged me full price. Cannot give me a straight answer as to when I could get a credit on my account for the cleaning reimbursement. They state that it is because their system was hacked however every insurance companies phone number is on the back of the card. I showed up for my appointment that was at noon at 12:05 as I had told them I would do ( I was coming from work) After I asked about insurance questions they called my insurance so I would know how much I would have to pay at that visit they then told me at 12:20 that they now did not have time to complete my dental work. they told me I was going to have to reschedule my appointment. This has got to be one of THE WORST STAFF EVER! They are all so rude and obviously unhappy to have to do their job. I'm a new patient, but am transferring care from them right away. My last straw was when I was trying to get my child scheduled for his first routine cleaning with them. They told me that I needed to provide the insurance information before the appt date or the appt would be canceled. Understandable, I guess, so I promptly called them with the requested information. After providing what they wanted, I re-verified the appt which was scheduled for Monday. Well, an hour after I got off the phone with them, they call me again about 15 minutes before their closing time. This is a Friday, by the way. Unfortunately, I'm at work and unable to answer the call, so I let it go to voicemail. Finally, I get a free moment and listen to the message. It's one of them again rudely informing me that since I'm not answering my phone and she's unable to reach me to verify my kid's appt, she was taking him off the schedule for Monday. I mean WTF??!!! Isn't that what I did a freaking hour ago?! Now, they're closed and I can't call them to ask what the heck is going on. And of course by Monday, it'd be too late to get him back on the schedule! This could possibly be one of the worst places you could choose if you are a veteran and our wanting to transition into dentures for the first time. I quickly learned that the Mattoon location is nothing more than a fraudulent storefront that the dentist and the dental techs use to defraud patientd of a Lion's share of the cost doing business with them... I paid $10,000 up front 4 a few extractions and their top of the line denture program but little did I know nothing that I paid for in cash belong to me and the second they couldn't guarantee the quality of their product they offered me a small fraction of the refund and I was forced to return all my dental appliances. to make matters worse as soon as I tried to let the dentist know that there had been a problem, they all turned on me and hatched a plan to create further injuries by sabotaging my denture in a way that it would do me physical harm when placed into my mouth. They did it to get a laugh and to prove that that's what people like me get going to a place like there's. it's sick the way they prey on veterans and the elderly and disabled the way they do, if I weren't so lazy I would get the VA involved to close down this particular franchise which is all that is similar to McDonald's you get what you pay for read more

Initially went in for a broken tooth. Needles to say they did nothing for my broken tooth. Only cleaned half of my mouth and charged me 518 dollars. told me my insurance only covered half my mouth cleaning per visit. Called my insurance after appt. they confirmed that what I was told be aspen was inaccurate. Also was told I needed 3 wisdom tooth extractions , followed up with a second opinion and they confirmed that was inaccurate. My wisdom teeth are fine and they have never bothered me. So I left with an unrepaired broken tooth, half of a cleaning and paid 518 dollars. Never again. Not even for an emergency. Don't go! read more

Do not go here!!! Aspen dental does not care about thier patients. They do not listen to your concerns and will overcharge you for unecessary dental care. When you bring up any concerns you have or unusual billing, they don't take fault for anything and get rude with you! The most unprofessional place I have ever been to. read more
