I went in for a broke tooth was told that I would get a crown and some very expensive treatment the day of the fitting for the crown I was told I need a root canal when I explicitly said if I need a root canal pull the tooth out and they proceeded to give me a estimate of almost 1200 more and I said no pull the tooth out but instead they put the temporary crown on I went back in for the permanent and I've been in pain since then they are not willing to make it right and I refuse to go back to that Dentist the day they pulled the temporary crown out to put the permanent. It was yanked out and I was in so much pain that I thought that was the reason why I had to paint afterwards they had me go back in and all they did was file it down, saying that that was going to help this procedure was done in September and here we are in December and I am in extreme pain and they refuse to refund for that crown so that I can go to another Dentist and get it pulled out. Do not go to this Dentist to them. It's all about the money and not the patient or their well-being. This is the only place that my insurance accepts. I drove all the way from Nacogdoches (1 hour and 15 minute drive) to get a cleaning. They go through the entire process of the exam and then at the end tell me they won't be doing my cleaning because their hygienist didn't bother to show up to work. It would have been nice to tell me prior to starting the process. Or just pick up the phone and reschedule? Now I have to come back another day or go to another Aspen Dental. They did tried to sell me a $135 toothbrush that was also "included" in my cleaning that I didn't receive. LOL no thank you. Would not recommend. My husband was mistreated, talked down to and ended up in the ER after what was supposed to be a tooth extraction. Went in for 4 teeth extractions, they said their computers were down; had a doctor out and overbooked. They gave him the option to get one tooth done. The doctor came in and went immediately to numbing shots with no warning. She then pulled, scraped and pulled some more without him being numbed up. He said he was shaking in pain and she patted him on the chest and told him he needed to calm down. She cracked his tooth in half, said it was infected and said they couldn't continue with procedure. If I could give them no stars I would!!!! this place is horribl.... At first they were really sweet the only person I would talk to is the financial lady in the middle... she was sweet the whole time... I went here for a wisdom tooth that needs to be pulled and took over a hour and a half trying to pull it (just one) I've never had teeth pulled but my mom has and she told me they should let the injections sit for a little so they can numb you up good at least 10-15 minutes this lady did not she wanted 2 or 3 then tried pulling the tooth.... the whole time I can feel the pain of it... they til me I would have to see the dental surgeon okk that's fine but that would be 8 days later after this tooth is already giving me problem and now they have woken it up by trying to remove it... I called and asked for my xrays cause everyone I talk to about them say they are horrible and when I get here to get them they lady at the front desk basically threw the file at the other lady to give it to me!!!! that is very rude and unprofessional for this business... Tried to force me into a very expensive treatment plan that was not absolutely necessary. I have periodontitis and need what is a scaling and root planing or "deep cleaning", and a few other filings and such. I was told that they would not work on me if I did not except additional $2000 in Atridox treatment. Atridox is antibiotic applied to gum pockets. Probably a good treatment, but almost tripled my cost. Same or similar result could be had from a $20.00 bottle of doxycycline. Now i have to go somewhere else. Wasted my time. read more

I would like to rate them higher but this office has a problem with one of their dentist. If you need more than hygiene see only Dr. Cox. She is excellent. The hygienist(s), receptionists, Carla, office manager Cassidy and Dr. Cox were all very kind and helpful and get a 5 star rating from me. Dr. X had botched a crown installation. It took an additional 4 visits to get the problem taken care of that I originally went in for. After the first "adjustment" and still experiencing pain, I refused to see her again. Dr. Cox finished treating me. I did receive a significant $$ refund and there was no charge for the final extraction (which is what I really wanted). So I cannot complain about the overall service. I did however have to deal with a 6-8 weeks of unnecessary pain. Tooth pain that I did not have before I visited. read more

I personally have never been here, but writing the review based on the fact I had to drive 3 hours to come care for my father. His teeth were extracted for dentures, and was sent home with no medications for pain or infection prevention. After 4 days he called back in extreme pain and had an infection. His dentures look great, but he is unable to eat because the backs of the teeth barely come out of the gums. He cannot eat, even after going back in to have them reshaped. Again I have personally not been into the office, yet, so cannot speak toward the staff. I'm sure they are friendly and mean well. read more

The worst dental place ever, wish i could give it zero star, I would avoid coming here at all cost. I came in for my dental appointment, signed in at the front desk, was not greeted by anyone. Waited for 40-45 mins, everyone behind me had already gone in, I came up and asked when would it be my turn, the front lady then told me I didn't have an appointment... Ummm okay, why wasn't I made aware of this? I had called several weeks prior to make an appointment and they did not put me down. She then told me, "maybe you got the machine instead of a person", I'm pretty sure I know how to distinguish a person from a machine. Furthermore, at my husband's visit, the financial lady told my husband that our dental plan was really good, one of the best she had seen with good coverage. After running all the numbers she told him that he would cost him $444 for the procedures and that was it. Several months later we received another bill for $1300. We would have never agreed to the procedure if we knew that it would cost us almost $1800 for the procedure. Please save yourself the headache by going to another dental place. I switched to another dental place and everything went so smoothly there, I would never go back to Aspen dental and will not recommend it for anyone read more

A little mad that I wasted about $700 to do a permanent crown and to not have it hold then they tell me they wanted to do the implant from the beginning.... it never became apart of the plan and that when I showed up with the broken tooth they told me they want to do a crown and it would be perfect. So when I mentioned that a discount of $600 for going towards the Implant they refused and said it was my fault.... fuck that place after that. They have instead of the continued to misfit my husband with their BS fittings, and when our insurance reimbursed them, they agreed to return the refund to us. Instead they sent our money to a third party (Genesis FC), who they forced us into a credit situation with! We are demanding a refund from these overpriced amateurs. We paid $1300.00 Cash Our Dental Insurance paid 1370.00 Their Third party Credit company (Genesis FC) Had a charge of $1927.20 against us. Their home office has a clause in their contract with Genesis FC, that any payments made by insurance or other parties be sent directly to the credit, instead of the patient that paid. I was a dental assistant a few years back. I went in with a friend of mine. I really don't understand how this place is still in business. Office manager is a mess, she's rude, does NOT care about patients only money. Front desk staff isn't bad. The dental assistants seem nice. One of the hygienist is a kiss up and just as worse as the office manager. Dr Cox is amazing. Dr. Kunduru; owner as I've been told. Is absolutely the worst dentist I have ever encountered in my life. He is rude to the dental assistants in front of patients and insults there intelligence! He has no idea what he's doing when it comes to be a dentist and it's truly scary. I would never let him near my mouth. Honestly it's just so sad and so horrible. Lori was the most thorough dental hygienist I've ever come across. She was very pleasant and did her absolute best to reduce my apprehension about getting a checkup and cleaning for the first time in a couple of years. Everyone in the office is pleasant and quick with answers. I also saw Dr. Ajay and he was quick and painless! The office appeared neat and clean. The receptionist was friendly and efficient, and the wait was short. The Xray tech was professional and fast. Went to exam room right away and waited only a few minutes for dentist who came in and was immediately rude to tech, then only barely spoke to me and began exam he made an observation and comment to tech, which I felt needed some clarification from me, so started to communicate to him, but was rudely and arrogantly cut off and told my input was not needed, thank you! He and I should of had a stand up face to face discussion right then, but I'm terminally ill and have to pull back a little now days. But had we had a discussion I would have told him that I wouldn't let him work on my dogs teeth much less mine or any of my family. And probably some other stuff. their prices are not any better than most other local dentists and even if they were it wouldn't offset being disrespected. I was with my last dentist for 20 yrs until his forced retirement, and probably would have used them from now on. Looking for someone else, suggest you do the same. read more

I originally was not going to write a review because it had been a year but I have been to a couple of other offices since and made my horrible experience at this Aspen stick out so much more! The Hygiene nurse that provided my cleaning was the most rude Unknowledgeable person I have ever met! Said I had gum disease and 2 other dentists said I barely even had gingivitis! The office manager was rude and pushy!!! Felt like I was being sold a used car!! I can't believe that this woman was an office manager! She didn't care about me or my well being, think her name was gina or something. I am thinking of reporting the hygiene nurse to the dental board for malpractice! She should never be allowed to work on a patient ever again! And the office manager should be terminated immediately! I have had ongoing dental issues my entire life. That means, I have been to MANY different dentists over the years. This particular time, I had such a bad toothache, it was so painful I wasn't able to work. With my current dental plan, I do not have many options. I finally got in touch with the Longview Aspen Dental office and they were booked. The earliest appointment wasn't for 7 days later!! I was very limited by my dental plan and had to stick with this dentist office. I called 2 days later to ask if there was any way possible to get an earlier appointment, since the pain was so bad, I couldn't imagine waiting that long (until Mon.) I spoke to Juanita many times over the the phone and she worked very hard to get me in sooner and was very sympathetic about my situation. She was also very patient, considering my emotional irritable state of being in constant pain. We finally made it work the next day and they got me in! While waiting to see the dentist, the waiting room got crowded fast and she even grabbed a couple extra chairs for people, without them having to ask. She definitely helped make the experience easier. The dental assistance that I spent most of the time with, was extremely sympathetic as well, instead of making me feel like just the next person on her list. She heard all my concerns and did everything she could to help with them. They both went above and beyond to take care of me and hear my particular concerns. I only saw the dentist for a few minutes, but he was sharp, quick, and efficient. He let me know exactly what was needed and how to take care of my current pain plus specific plans to move forward. I was pain free by the next morning! I am happy my dental insurance placed me with this office. I will definitely be going back to them for the additional work that still needs to be done. In general, the phone hold times can be very long some times, but once you got someone on the phone they took the time to listen to your concerns and work with you. The waiting room and office were very busy with a lot of people moving around. But, still remained a clean, friendly and comfortable environment. read more
