I hadn't been to the dentist in forever (5 years) when I went to an office near my new place in Massachusetts who gave me a ridiculous quote for fillings and made me believe my whole jaw was going to rot off if I didn't take them up on it. I instead got a second opinion form Dr. Sagor, who assessed my teeth honestly and let me know what fillings I needed and which ones I didn't. Pricing: I pay out of pocket, so it's not cheap (what dentist is?) but what I paid was less than a third of what I'd been quoted at the other office. Plus, the procedure was totally pain-free. I know folks who have had root canals done here that have been as painless as a root canal can be. Dr. Sagor is hilarious, and great with kids. I have many fond memories of latex gloves being turned into balloons and given faces with sharpies! But he also knows his stuff, which I appreciate. I got there around 6:45 and was greeted by two very happy and cheerful young ladies. After filling out paperwork I was promptly called in' Mandy did a wonderful job preparing the room for the time when I was going to be seen by Dr. Chang. Upon looking at my tooth he agreed that it needed to be extracted and asked if I wanted to go ahead and doing right then. I of course said yes since I had been in a lot of pain. BEFORE a CONSULT, and before you walk through that door, require they contact insurance for a prior auth and obtain a COPY. Actively involve insurance! DONT BE THE DESPERATE FOOL they profit from! Their shadiness cost pain, delay of care, and loss of 2k worth of an annual dental insurance benefit. After rep verified procedure was covered in full by insurance with no deductible, the manager changed it up to require a cash down payment for the surgery now stating the "surgery" was billed differently allowing them to demand cash also!!! He is unfailingly calm, and very good at clearly explaining his plans. He is an efficient surgeon, and even with the difficult extractions our son had, able to complete the work with very little post-operative problems.(Let's be honest, oral surgery and its after effects are very uncomfortable.) I myself have had some extremely unpleasant post-op experiences with other, now mercifully retired, surgeons, and we have all heard horror stories. His practice is very well run and pleasant. We seldom have to wait very long for service, and it is easy to get an appointment. I would without any hesitation recommend this practice, and the more severe your condition, the stronger I would urge you to take a look.

I sent them a (probably) panicked, overdramatic email explaining my dire situation. They agreed to see me last minute even though I was a new patient. Dr. DeSantis checked out my tiny stub teeth and did some 3-D x-rays, and then proceeded to build from thin air a set of temporary bridges that lasted not 3 days, but over two months. Early this week, he put in the permanent bridges and they are perfect. I'm not afraid that my teeth are permanently damaged or that these bridges are going to fall out in 3 weeks. I know that this doctor knows what he's doing and actually cares about the outcome. Dr. DeSantis will explain everything and he takes his time. You won't see the doctor for only 30 seconds (or not at all) like at ordinary practices. He has a varied background that includes some programming and graphic design so if you're lucky, he will be able to whip some teeth out of the ether and into the 3-D printer like he did for me. He's also funny, and has a bit of a Beastie Boy vibe (if you're not an elder Millennial or baby Gen X, that statement won't make any sense, so just don't worry about it). When a tooth recently cracked, and I wanted to get a crown on it, I needed to have an impacted wisdom tooth removed so the crown could sit properly. Not surprisingly, my dental anxiety showed up immediately and in full force the moment I found out I was going to have to have not one, but three wisdom teeth removed. And this was after having a preventative root canal performed on the tooth that needed a crown. So a root canal, then the removal of three wisdom teeth, and then crown - proof that all bad things come in threes! Or. So. I. Thought. I went into my appointment today at 8 am and by 8:20 am the procedure had begun and by 9:30 it was finished. The person who recommended Dr. Doriot to me had all four of his wisdom teeth removed by him as well and said he never felt any pain during the recovery period. I thought this was perhaps a small exaggeration, after all, how can they rip teeth out of your head and have it be painless...especially after the drugs wear off. But, surprisingly, this was exactly my experience as well. I am writing this review about 12 hours after the procedure and I feel such indescribable relief due to having the procedure completed and being in no pain at any point in the process. The cherry on top of this perfect dental experience? Dr. Doriot called me on my cell phone a few minutes ago to ask me how I was feeling and to answer any questions I had about future dental care (of which I had many). I thanked him for the kind gesture and he said that he "can't sleep until he knows his patients are doing well." It is so readily apparent how much Dr. Doriot cares about both his patients and the quality of his work. I've seen Dr.  Bayoumy as a patient a few times now and he's been phenomenal. So when my son needed a specialist to check his wisdom teeth I didn't even hesitate at requesting a referral for Dr. B for him as well.  Unfortunately, with my own appointments and now my son's, the office staff has dropped the ball too many times. Focusing only on the current issue with my son; not only did his dentist have to send the referral twice to even get them to schedule the appointment in the first place, the day after confirming his appointment (almost a month after making the appt) I received a follow up confirmation text for a completely different appointment time. When I called to ask why I was getting a confirmation text for a different time, I was told "I don't know, do you want the new appointment, or no?" completely dismissing my inquiry as to why nobody called me to request or confirm the reschedule. As to not further delay him getting checked, I agreed.  Less than 24 hours later, at 7:30am the day of the appointment, I received a text asking if I had a copy of the referral. I explained that I did not, because it was sent directly before they would even let me schedule the appointment in the first place. I was then told they didn't have it and would "try to get it" before his appointment that I've now had to take a whole day off of work for. I'd had this happen at my original appointment which delayed my appointment by almost a week so I told them to cancel the appointment.  I've been a medical receptionist for 3 years. This is not only inconsiderate, but honestly just flat out poor patient care. Again, Dr. Bayoumy is amazing, which is why I've tolerated the consistent incompetence by office staff in regards to insurance, scheduling, and communication, but I'm afraid we will be seeking care elsewhere.  I'm sure losing one or two patients won't hurt you guys (not my intention), but as previously stated, as someone who works in healthcare, it's careless and just disappointing.

At the end, there was only me and one other patient in the waiting area, who checked in long after I did. Another couple came in and asked how long I had been waiting and I told them my appt was at 2:30, and it was now 4 o'clock. The other receptionist stood up and yelled at me across the room. "WE HAVE THREE DOCTORS!" ??? They finally called me in and I sat for another half an hour in the dentist chair before the Dr. came in.
