Worst care ever. Call in to reschedule and was told to wait 2 months for an availability for a cleaning. Unbelievable to be honest.

Aspen dental is the WORST place to have dental work done. The prices are very inflated and they do stand behind their word. They tell you one thing and when you get there it's totally different. I lost a crown on July 4th and was able to schedule an appointment with Aspen the following day, Could not get into my regular dentist until the following Monday. Aspen then called and moved up my appointment, Completely professional and great care- got my crown put back on and found a new dentist. They have some great new patient incentives on line including a free initial exam and x rays. read more

I'm starting by saying the dentist and dental hygienists were wonderful. Everything aside from that was awful. I went for a regular checkup and to get a referral to get my wisdom teeth out. I didn't get a cleaning, as they "need to schedule those for different days". I was told to wait in the waiting room for the office manager to speak with me about the referral, etc. I waited 40 minutes and was never called to speak with her. I left and asked them to have her call me after her current appointment. I had to reach out to Aspen 6 times before the office manager called me back. I still didn't get information about the referral. I decided to contact the place where my wisdom teeth will be removed and they had to move my appt because Aspen's system is down and they can't send the x-rays. So, I either had to move it out, or pay for another x-ray. This place is a joke. read more

My wife had to have her dentures redone because her original ones kept breaking, they claimed my dental insurance didn't pay anything since it was less than 10 years that she originally had them made . My wife had to pay $1828, the bill the sent into my insurance company was $1179 the insurance paid them $574.59 . Now nobody is answering our calls on this. The difference on what we paid plus what the insurance paid $1223.59 why was the amount that we paid not billed to the insurance? And since the insurance paid why wasn't we reimbursed $574.59 . I asked this same question on their website with phone numbers so they could contact either one of us back . That was 2 months ago with no response. Looks like we have to get the department of insurance involved. Someone pocketed $1223 and if they did that to everyone else that's a lot of difference over time . read more

Stay as far away as possible from this hack. She screwed up my mouth so bad I had to go to another dentist to get it straightened out.

I really like this clinic. Everyone is so nice. And the dentist was good that it didn't even hurt to fix my tooth! Super fast and easy! The only thing I didn't like...their prices. I was going in to pay when a friend mentioned a coupon online. A coupon for dentist appointment? Couldn't believe they have discount coupons online. If I didn't know this from a friend...I would have paid 30% more!!!!!!! I don't think that's right. They should offer those prices every day!!! And we shouldnt have to wait for a coupon to get r teeth fixed. They want $1600 to cap my tooth!!! I'm so disappointed in them. Because I really like this clinic. read more

I gave aspen dental 3 tries. On all three times I had to wait months to get in. I waited at least an hour. On the last occasion, I came in for my appointment, and they had called two extra people to come in before me. After two hours of waiting, I was asked, if I would be willing to come in the next day. The employee made it sound like, she was trying to cut down on my wait, but having already waited quite some time, I opted to stay. Apparently, the office closed. People were "staying late" to do my cleaning. My cleaning lasted a total of 15 minutes. I have never had so much pain from a cleaning. I love going to the dentist, but I felt like a cow being herded through care. Had the employee at the front been honest with me and told me that they overbooked, I could have tried to reschedule. This could have been done at the beginning or end of my waiting time. The worst part of the experience was the second dental hygienist who came in. She asked, if I brush and floss. I do, but she informed me that I must not, because I was bleeding and blood means bacteria. I truly feel that I bled, because of how quickly the "cleaning" was done. I bled each time I blushed and flossed and had a hard time eating hard foods. I have been to many dentists, but I cannot recommend Aspen. There is nothing that could make me go back. read more

I waited almost a half an hour in the lobby to get in. They will not schedule you for a cleaning over the phone. You will have to go in, be seen by the doctor and tech, and have to schedule a secondary appointment to get the full service that any other dentist provides in one office visit. Given the half an hour I was in the lobby, I was easily onsite long enough for the cleaning to have taken place in once visit. The entire time I felt rushed, as the tech was running in and out of the room and pushing to get things done super quickly. Rushing leads to accidents. This is unacceptable and unprofessional behavior in any medical care facility. I had to sit through TWO sales pitches. AFTER being RUSHED through the other procedures. The sales pitches were easily 3-4 minutes a piece, and there was no way to politely decline. One is for a toothbrush that I'm sure they're getting commission on to sell at the dentist, and another is a newer alternative preventative treatment process that isn't necessary for your average patient, but they try to make it sound scary. I will not be going back, and I highly recommend other people find a better dentist until this place changes their standard mode of operation. read more

Run screaming away from this clinic. I booked in for a cleaning and an exam. They did a number of x rays, told me how badly I needed a cleaning, and then told me it would cost $2600 for a 45 minute procedure to "deep clean" my teeth. Lucky me, they had an opening that day! I began to be uncomfortable with the sell job and the price, I said I would not do it that day but would be back in a few days. Contacted an out of town periodontist friend, she said she would give me a second opinion. I dropped off a letter to the office asking them to send her the recommendations and xrays. Surprise, surprise they didn't do so. It wasn't even the DENTIST who recommended this expensive procedure, it was the hygienist! In the meantime I have contacted another Dubuque dental office and again, what a surprise, I don't need this procedure at all. Rip. Off. Total scam. Avoid, avoid, avoid. I am pretty savvy and they almost had me. read more

Left to rot in lobby for ~ 40 min. Can't stand not at least getting a verbal update on situation. This was second cleaning. Every six months. Haven't been enjoyable experiences. Will not schedule for a Monday again. I feel the staff definitely needs more training. I expect to be treated like a valued customer, not as a bother to their day. read more

They are quick to get you in. Nice environment and understanding of anxiety. Great staff and a positive experience.
