As a parent, it is incredibly painful to watch your child suffer, and our experience at Wildflower…read moreKids Dentistry has been nothing short of that lately. My child had multiple fillings done, but within a few weeks, they fell out and had to be redone. Sadly, the fillings failed again within a few months, leading to severe tooth infections. This resulted in my child needing root canal and extraction (at a different dentist office, of course), causing immense pain, missed school and activities, and difficulty eating. The previous dentist, Dr. Peckosh, at this practice was wonderful, but since her retirement, the new dentist has been a huge letdown. I cannot in good conscience recommend this practice to any parent. I hope the new dentist realizes the need for significant improvement before being entrusted with the care of any more children.

My 19 year old daughter, who is from NYC and attending college in Dubuque, saw Dr. Benda with…read morerecurring migraines. Not having me or her father there to advocate for her, she had to attend this appointment by herself. She explained to him that they get so terrible that she often throws up and passes out. We instructed her to ask for an MRI, which she did. She was told no way is he sending her for an MRI for just migraines, gave her pills and told her to take for the rest of your life. That was it. When she was back in NYC for Christmas break we took her to a neurologist here. Two serious issues were found on her scan, both of which we will be following up with in New York. I'll start by saying Dr. Benda's bedside manner while treating a very nervous 19 year old girl was atrocious. Shame on this situation and you Dr. Benda, do better for the people that place their trust in you.

I can't say enough great things about the practice and about Dr. Ewen, who I was fortunate enough to see as my primary care doctor for 4 years. I was really surprised to find such a great practice in a small town like Dubuque. Specifically, my providers always listened to me and addressed my concerns. They didn't lecture me or act like they knew more than me. I really hated to move away, mostly because I knew I would lose Dr. Ewen and this practice. Not what it used to be where they were not in a hurry. Makes you feel like a number. The Dubuque location you get all through the prep and then you usually have to wait not just a few minute but wait. Seems maybe they overbooked themselves as they want as much money as possible.
