I will never get the time back that this corporate shit show has stolen from me. Just like all the other comments, my first visit was explaining how awful my teeth and gums were prior to telling me it would cost over $1000 to fix. I have tried the Waycross and Brunswick locations, both are despicable. I left a review on yelp for the Waycross location previously. I suppose it's my fault for trying to return to this location. I had an appointment for 8 AM this morning (12/10/2024), and I arrived on time. After arriving the girl at the front desk told me I did not have an appointment because I didn't confirm by telephone. I said I wasn't aware I had to do that, and she said it would have been someone that called me. I pulled up my phone records and there were no missed calls. Every person in the office waiting area said the same thing; no calls were received, and their appointments were canceled. I asked the woman at the front counter when I could be seen, since they had canceled my appointment. She told me she gave away the 8 o'clock already and that I would not be able to be seen until 10:30. This information coupled with my unbearable tooth pain was not a good combination. The woman at the desk just stared at me, not offering any sort of help and when I looked online at the available appointments for the day, 9:30 was available! This is completely unacceptable, and far from the first time it has happened with Aspen Dental. Also, if anyone from this business feels like commenting do not tell me that I should call customer service. I tried that and waited on hold for an hour. There is also no reason to tell me you will forward this information because we all know nothing will change. Overall, this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had within the medical industry. Scratch that, this is the worst! Do not make an appointment here, do not make a family member's appointment here, and give your money to your local Dentist offices. I left here and went directly to Dr. Sasser in Darien, Georgia. I was seen, given a prescription for an infection, and future appointments to fix the problem permanently. This occurred within 30 minutes. I was going here for years until my last visit. I was charged for an X-ray and cleaning when I shouldn't have been because they're in network. Five months later they're saying I owe additional money, but an escalation by their team showed that they never submitted anything to my insurance. I had a different dentist than my usual that said I had three cavities that needed to be filled, which is odd because I didn't have any cavities at my prior six month appointment with them. They were pushing for me to schedule the appointment for the fillings, but I declined. Long story short I switched to a local practice for my next exam/cleaning and I didn't have any cavities or any issues with my teeth. read more

I have been going to a dentist every 6 months for decades and have never had any oral issues whatsoever. I have never had a cavity, gum issues, or tooth pulled.. My previous dentist said my mouth was boring. That dentist office stopped taking our insurance so we gave Aspen Dental a try. They diagnosed me with stage 3 periodontal disease and said I had 2 cavities. They wanted me to believe that that went from a perfectly healthy mouth to having that diagnosis in just 6 months. Immediately after I left their office I made an appointment with another dentist for a second opinion and was told that my mouth was perfectly healthy. So the medical team at Aspen Dental straight up lied to me and tried to rack up a bunch of medical charges. Aspen Dental is currently facing a class-action lawsuit that accuses the company of deceiving patients and illegally owning dental practices. This lawsuit highlights ongoing concerns about the integrity of their treatment recommendations. In conclusion, Aspen dental is more concerned with making a profit than actually providing you with the healthcare you need. Last summer, they had to re-schedule regular 6 month cleaning with no notice multiple times (most likely due to lack of hygienists). I stuck with them and then this summer I had a regular 6 month cleaning scheduled - I showed up the morning of and the receptionist relayed the hygienist called in sick - she could not re-schedule me as they were booked until January - someone would call me to re-schedule. No one called. I left a message after a week and no one responded. That's it - you provide a service for a fee - I will gladly take my money and apply that fee to someone who provides the service. Made an appointment and their system even sent out automated text the day prior confirming my visit. But when I show up, they stated I didn't verbally confirm so my appointment was canceled. Then the management made it seem it was my fault for not "verbally" confirming. Apparently their text I received the day before confirming my appointment is autogenerated and doesn't actually qualify as a "confirmation". Terrible. We are 3 friends, all adults. At the first visit, they took a zillion x-rays, with the technicians not seemingly able to take good x-rays. The hygienist basically went on a rampage on the fact that we had periodontal disease and recommended very expensive periodontal care, amounting about $1500 of care. The three of us went separately, and each of us was said the same thing! The good thing is that my uncle is a dentist and reviewed the x-rays and our teeth, and said they just made up the treatment plan, and periodontal care was not needed. They should be reported for pushing care that is extremely expensive and not needed. I shall add that the dentist was arguing with one of the technicians right in front of us. Nobody except the dentist had masks on in spite of what Aspen dental policies are. The hygienist had a mask below her nose. Also, cleanliness is pretty bad, and the equipment is broken and worn out. They touch the computer and walls and then they touch your mouth. Good luck getting through the phone system. Terrible, terrible. Terrible. read more

Been a patient with this dental practice for a while. Was really happy with them when I first went in. Service has gone down hill from there. I went in recently in extreme pain and an infection to a capped tooth. I really don't know why they list Emergency service on their site. There is no such thing in this office. They said I would have to wait 2 to 3 hours to be seen. They did not appear to be very busy. I could see the dentist standing around joking with other staff. Why couldn't he take 5 minutes to at least check my tooth, give me something for the pain, infection, and schedule an appointment. We went to Aspen Dental 1.5 years ago. 8 months later got a bill for hundreds of dollars they said my husband owed. After I reviewed their billing on my insurance page, I found they coded it wrong. I called them to have them rebill and told them what was wrong. I went there a year ago for a cleaning. Now i get a bill for hundreds of dollars. the snotty girl in Brunswick, who answered the phone said she was the office mgr AND store mgr; she said they charge 2k for cleaning I must ck with my insurance to see what the prob is. There is no one else to I can talk to. Their information is correct. Call my insurance if i want answers. RUDE!!! Reviewed my insurance billing page, they wrote they are missing an Xray. I am now on hold in order to talk to the main office. A guy picked up after 15 mins and then put me back on hold. I will see what happens when someone else picks up. This was an excellent dental experience from my exam and x-rays to my cleaning and treatment. The staff are very nice people so you don't get that "your bothering me" attitude I've seen so many times elsewhere. there's a reason they are the cheapest. they let my husband go home with uncontrollable bleedin. he spent six hours in the emergency room last both. to get it to stop. the manager of store said that it's normal. they think pints of blood on the floor is normal. manager was unprofessional. she didnt even let me finish tell her what was going on with my husband.so whenever i told her to just listen she kept going and i finally had enough and told her to stfu and listen to me and she hung up. care quality for these people is non existen. they don't see you as a human when you walk in. they see a paycheck. read more

Over the last several years I have been to more than a handful of dentists and periodontists between Chicago, Jacksonville and now Brunswick, GA. The Aspen Dental team in Brunswick has surpassed them ALL! I needed extensive treatment and Sam (Periodontal Therapist) and Dr. Sargent took the time to educate me on my condition and my options (they actually gave me options, unlike the previous dentists/periodontists I'd seen), and their supporting staff (Travis, Gina, Nicole, Tori, Karen, Tia, and a few others whose names I haven't learned yet) have provided nothing less than outstanding support and kindness toward my husband and me throughout our treatment. The Aspen Dental structure is very accommodating to work schedules and they have great financing options for amounts not covered by insurance. And while these things are very helpful, it is the amazing staff that makes this location a great place. Everyone is so personable and kind; they truly CARE about their patients and it shows. I have not been happy with my visits at Aspen Dental, nor my daughter's. I was told by one of the dentists there that I needed a lot of dental work done. Then the next dentist said I didn't need the work. Now I don't know what was really necessary. As for my daughter, I was told that they called a verified how much my insurance would pay. They gave me an official looking print out that seemed to show each part was verified and what the insurance company said they would pay. There estimate said the panoramic x ray was covered.I was told I had to sign this agreement in order for her to be seen. She was charge 140.00 for an panoramic x-ray. The office said the insurance would pay for it. However, the insurance would only pay for 1 of this type every two years. She could have just had the regular standard type of x rays since she had no major issues. My daughter had already had this type of x-ray the previous year. This information is easily seen on the insurance web site that the dental office has access to or it could have been given verbally. Of course the insurance will not pay for this expensive specialty x ray and the office has turned my bill over to collections, because I refuse to pay for their mistake. I have attempted to call the office at least 6 times and each time I am told someone will fix it or call me. None has called but I am now receiving collections letters. This is affecting my credit score. You need to call your insurance company yourself after they tell you what they think you need to do to verify they have done their job verifying. read more
