Watch out for this place, they have tried to double charge my wife and I twice. Received a bill this week from services rendered over a year ago. When I called their customer service people they insisted I owed them my share of of the bill. I checked my HSA print out that clearly showed I did pay this bill on line 3 days after receiving the original bill. This is my second time at Aspen dental. My first visit, I felt very stressful and anxious but the assistants and Dr. Elliot were so kind. They helped me with no judgment and kindness. I got my crown taken care of and placed with ease. My next journey in my process is a little more detailed. The worst dentist i have ever been too there refund policy is a joke, ive had pain ever sconce my dentures Can not eat , have not been able to eat for almost a year when i do , i bite my lip and it bleeds. my mouth drupes like i had a stroke. they do not stay in have waited for monies for almost over 2 months this place is a joke. read more

Went in for an extraction. A few hours later I have a complete preventative maintenance plan which includes a whole lot of fillings. I bite and agree to the plan. 3 years goes by and my fillings fall out (obviously they were of great quality). Now I am looking for some place to fix the teeth that are falling apart where the fillings once were. I am so pissed. Their preventative maintenance is going to cost me more in the long run. I should have had the extraction done and left, I had no other issues other than that tooth, now I have multiple issues because where they drilled and filled, the teeth are weak and falling apart because the fillings feel out. I don't really care what you choose to do, but I have done my due diligence to warn you. read more

Cassie and the care team at the Overland location are just amazing. I got my dentures a couple years ago (not from Aspen) and things weren't right with them. Honestly this place did not even really care about the reason I was there which was for a wisdom tooth removal instead as soon as I mentioned I would be moving towards getting a top set of dentures in the future and a partial set of dentures on the bottom they turned my entire appointment into selling me on dentures instead of looking at the current issue I was have which is extremely swelling and bleeding of my gums around my wisdom tooth. They hardly even looked at my problem area!!! So I am finding a new dentist that will actually listen and help me where I need it!!! Horrible place they charged me 1300 for a deep cleaning. They didn't give me a deep cleaning. Plus I only had to quads that needed it. She did no scaling whatsoever. The only thing I received was an electric toothbrush and mouthwash. Read the reviews on Aspen Dental before you make an appointment they've got to be the most illegitimate dental office. Consider the idea that a dentist has less than three stars. This kind of behavior might make you think as to why? The entire identity of Aspen Dental if a broadfaced scam! The idea they offer free review only as a ploy to coral you into buying an eletric tooth brush and a plan to remove your wisdom teeth (even if they grew in just fine like mine) and a blatantly lying about having EIGHT cavaties and they I need my teeth pulled for a billing plan of TWELVE thousand dollars. Keep in mind I had only gone down there to check on a sensetive tooth but they made no comment on it and only continued tried to upsale and scam my time. I have United Healthcare...went to Aspen for x-rays and an exam. They told me I "had" to have a deep cleaning, fill three cavities and an extraction ( which he wanted to do a root canal on)... Total cost 2,700, my portion after insurance...1,100. I called United Healthcare directly....they estimated my out of pocket to be only $375 F you Aspen dental!! read more

I got my dentures July of 2020. I spent 4200.00 for the whole procedure. A year goes by and my dentures on the bottom cracked right in half. When I called them. The receptionist answered the phone. I explained to him what happens. He just tells me about how they are out of warranty and I would have to pay for them to be repair. I ended up getting them fixed and work something out with one of the workers and they fixed my bottom dentures. Then a month later my top dentures cracked. So once again I called and the lady told me that I had a balance of $79 (which they told me my visit was no charge) I explained and she was so concerned about my money then she was with the situation! This place is ridiculously over priced. They wanted to charge me a little over $1,000 for a tooth extraction and 3 grand for some fillings (all with insurance). Got referred to Northwest Dental by a friend and literally the best reference I could have recieved from a friend. Northwest Dental got me in for a tooth extraction within 30 minutes of calling then were able to remove my tooth within the hour! I couldn't believe it. Didn't cost over $200. *It seems like some of the reviews on here are for a different Aspen Dental location. This review is specifically for the one at 8321 W. Overland Dr in Boise.* My situation was a bit different than most, probably, because I needed to get a dental clearance for a job opportunity. I wasn't able to get to my primary dentist in the timeframe needed for the job, so I feel very fortunate that I was able to get into this office for a number of reasons. First of all, Felicia and Melissa at the front desk were very accommodating - Felicia in scheduling / paperwork at the beginning of my visit, and Melissa in explaining charges clearly and succinctly in the middle of the visit - prior to them doing any work on my teeth. I don't have dental insurance, so Melissa told me the pricing for everything up front, and let me proceed after I understood it all. It was expensive, but in my experience, you get what you pay for. I opted to pay with my credit card rather than utilizing their third-party financing option, but that's also an option. Then, after getting all checked in, Erin (with support from Fatema) got me all set up for x-rays and scans. Their equipment seemed very top of the line and Erin explained everything that was going on very clearly so I understood what I was getting done. It was determined that I had a couple cavities that needed filled, and they were able to accommodate by filling both of them the same day - which really helped me out, because I live 3+ hours away, and coordinating multiple follow ups would've been nearly impossible. With my time-sensitive clearance needed for this job, having Dr. Trinh (with assistance from Erin) be able to check everything out, determine I needed a couple cavities filled, AND be able to fill them (thanks to someone not showing up for an appointment), I feel very lucky to have stumbled upon this team. The location was spotless, I never felt like I was at a loss as to what was happening, and they were all very nice to me. If I'm in the area again, I won't hesitate to go back. read more

This place is a complete scam. I already had a dentist but it was taking too long to get an appointment. I was quoted a price for a cleaning. Worst dental experience I ever had. First, the xrays actually hurt. Second, I was there for an hour and half and didn't even get my teeth cleaned. Third, they tried to make up something about my gums look good now but I had gum disease sometime before (not true!) so it was going to cost triple the price for a cleaning! Total scam! This place quoted my daughter $4300 and that was with a cash discount and discount for not having insurancce. They said that she needed a super deep intense cleaning and six cavitites filled. That really seemed like a lot of money especially since they advertise to people who do not have dental insurance. We took her to a "normal" dentist for a second opinion and she only had 2 cavitities and they said she did not need the deep cleaning that Aspen told her she HAD TO HAVE. Her orthodontist that she saw shortly thereafter agreed. We will never go back to this place and will never recommend them to anyone. There is really nothing wrong with this place, they just operate a bit different than your run of the mill dentistry. We scheduled an appointment for my spouse to be seen then later realized it was just an exam. Had to come back a 2nd time for an actual cleaning. Very hectic place, getting moved from room to room. First visit room counters were dirty with material to make dentures. Both visits we had 3 plus calls confirming appointment, that was obnoxious. Dentist seems nice. There are many places to choose from, if you're not picky then this would be an ok place for you. read more

This is the worst dentist office I have ever been too. Has continually lied about charges. I got my teeth fixed with Invisalign during their sale for $1500 and a few cavities. I was quoted $2,200 for everything to be fixed. I have now continually been charged extra for supposed costs that insurance never covered. I have checked with my insurance though and they have no record of ever being contacted by the branch. I was overly angry and needed up paying the extra $1500 to just be done with them. Fast forward a year and a tooth breaks that they "fixed" last year and I get told that I have another $350 that was never paid to them. Told them that I had proof of every purchase, quote, and contact from them from the beginning of me coming to them to now. The person I was talking to acted like I was an idiot and had no idea what I was talking about. Absolutely disgusted by their customer service and ethics of the company. read more

Aspen Dental is exploiting those without insurance and scamming them out of thousands of dollars. I went in for a cavity I needed filled for them to give me x-rays and claim I had 10+ cavities that needed filling. This was estimated out to nearly $3,000. I was appalled but went in for my scheduled appointment and waited In the waiting room for almost an hour with no one present. No one at the front desk. No dentists. I rang their bell several times before leaving and I was appalled and went to a second dentist for another opinion for them to tell me I had a single cavity that needed filled which they did for $150 dollars. Aspen Dental are crooks and should be shut down for their exploitation of those without dental insurance and in sure a plethora of others as well. Shame on you! read more

I'm so grateful to have found this dentist office. I haven't had a go to dentist because I'm new to Boise. I moved here from Washington 2 years ago and have been bouncing around looking for a good home dentist. I was taken off of my parents insurance at age 18 and have had to be very independent since then in figuring out how to pay for my own services and make my own appointments. Aspen Dental has made it easy and comfortable for me to make appointments and figure out a plan that works for me. I am in need of a root canal and I have all 4 wisdom teeth coming in, so with such a large bill I was able to apply for financing and set up monthly payments. On top of this, I am 5 months pregnant and they were very cautious and kind to me to make sure I was comfortable and safe. I highly recommend this location! Even you are weary, at least set up a new patient exam, you will be happy to work with them. read more

Stay away! Do not use Aspen Dental at all! It is so unsanitary. Unbelievable, really. They placed me in an exam room that smelled awful. When I brought it to the tech's attention, she agreed with me but didn't do anything to fix the situation. As I sat in the chair longer, I knew I wouldn't be able to stay in the room...the smell was awful! It smelled like vomit. So I began looking around the room and there was a puddle of vomit near the garbage can. When I brought it to the tech's attention, she ushered me out of the room into a waiting room nearby. I could hear as they scrambled to get the room clean. Then they wanted to put me back in the same exam room, which still smelled, and which I knew hadn't been sterilized and cleaned properly because they were in a hurry. I knew I had to get out of there and told them I was leaving. They offered no apologies and in fact, made some excuse about someone having just emptied the trash and must not have known there was a hole in the garbage bag. Their excuse made things even worse because I was the first appointment of the day...so the vomit had sat in that garbage bag in their exam room overnight! So disgusting!! read more

Went in for my free x-ray and exam. Was told the total cost of a deep clean, root canal, and crown would be close to $4,000. I was in excruciating pain and instead of prescribing me anti-biotics to rid my tooth of the infection I was prescribed an opiate pain reliever which hardly helped. The office manager was great - she tried her hardest to help me find a way to finance the operation but we were unable to reach any price that was reasonable. I can't help but think this company is very predatory and out for one thing: money. Any other doctor would have tried harder to alleviate my pain but this doctor gave me a short term prescription probably in hopes that I would return soon and pay the absurd price for the operation. The front desk attendant was probably the worst employee of them all. I arrived fifteen minutes before my appointment and had to wait 30 minutes to get my paperwork while she ran around the office. I was the last person seen even though I had set an appointment. The dental hygienist was very sweet, the assistant was as well. The doctor was very brief with me and provided little insight as to what was causing my pain and how I could relieve it. I would not recommend this place because their pricing is ridiculous. You're better off going to Terry Reilly or another local clinic that will give you a more reasonable price for services. read more

Definitely don't go here! I went and got the free new patient x-rays and exam. My experience in the office was awful. It felt very rushed and not personal at all. I was never asked what my goals of getting treatment was, no one even talked to me outside of telling me what was wrong. Staff members made several rude comments to each other while in the same room as me, pointing out things I was already insecure about. I was told that I needed almost $4000 ($3100 with their discount for not having insurance) worth of treatment for a root scaling and planning, plus having many cavities filled. This seemed like way too many issues considering that I'd last been to the dentist 3 years ago with perfectly healthy teeth and had been taking care of them since then. I got a second opinion and I'm so glad I did. My new dentist, who is much more reputable, told me that I didn't need root scaling and planning. I also have no cavities, and the only "treatment" I needed was a regular cleaning. I'm so glad I didn't go through with treatment at aspen dental. Not only would it have been extremely expensive, but I can't imagine what would have been done if they'd tried to fill nonexistent cavities! Never go here, it's a waste of money and time, not to mention that you're risking your dental health! Their free new patient exam and X-rays is just a way to scam patients into paying high prices for treatments that they don't need. read more
