Everything! I hope I don't have a character limit... I hope this reaches someone and saves them the pain, humiliation, disrespect, hurt and stress they have caused me. I purchased their top tier dentures last year on my birthday 8 grand I went in on a Friday and by Monday I had my teeth pulled and was sent home with temporary dentures. I was completely ignored as I shook and cried scared to death in the chair as the dentist paid me no attention and talked about her weekend plans. I was sent home with no instructions and told to set up a new appointment in a few weeks. I had no idea what to expect. I lost 40 pounds over the next few months and spent massive amounts of money on glue to hold my teeth in. I regretted my decision but stayed hopeful it would get better. I was only given my top set so they did no good eating. I finally had enough and was able to make an appointment to see the next steps. My appointment was scheduled for 7 am I arrived excited to get some relief and comfort only to find out that they did not have a lab technician and wouldn't for at least a month. I received no call or anything to let me know I didn't really need to wake up that early on my day off or that I would need to find a different location to go to not to mention the planning scheduling and arrangements that I had to make to accommodate transportation. I was able to get a hold of Plainfield eventually and be seen by them. To say the least they didn't know what I had in my mouth or that I wasn't a new patient and I was going to be charged. After tears and lots of explanation they put a soft liner in and my temperature teeth were now more comfortable but I was told they couldn't see me because Avon was paid for my service and they were not. I was infuriated and felt so taken advantage of by Avon I was ashamed I had let them do this to me. When I got home I tried to call and complain but only got a recording that promised the opposite of everything I had been through. So now I have to go back to Avon to have my permeantto be made and hopefully they will eventually give me my bottom set as well. Before that my tooth broke off and it had to be fixed. They did it quickly. Plainfield that is. A week later I dropped them and they were gone broke to pieces. Silly me I assumed since they made my first ones in a weekend they could do that this time but oh no they told me it would be 3 weeks that's after I showed up for my appointment they had no one again to see me. I've lost 40 pounds now have no bottom teeth or top teeth at this point and I'd spend $8000 for the very best top-of-the-line. I've never had anything quality like that in my life. I grew up poor we struggled so this was a big deal well I was the worst birthday present in my life because I've had no job for a year and I finally got a job and I have to start my new job as a manager in my town of a very well-known business. meet my team with no teeth and they tell me there's nothing they can do to get them faster. Well that's funny because when they were selling them to me, they got me in three days after several appointments and arguing with them crying having to walk around everywhere with no teeth not being able to talk I sincerely was ready to give up. They made me want to. I'm embarrassed to say it, but I wanted to commit suicide. I was so broken by them and everything that they've done I've never seen the same dentist more than once I was shuffled around lied to used basically robbed and was getting nowhere. I've been working really hard to start this new career and things were gonna start looking up and I kept having to call off work to go to all these dentist appointments and there'd be nobody there and every day you know they would make me think that they were gonna have them ready soon and then the next visit it would be. It's gonna be two or three more weeks I finally get the set that I have to approve and the dentist is telling me if you don't like them we want you to be happy and I'm telling him I don't like them. He made no changes to it. They just want to sew it. I look like a horse with teeth, you know the picture and guess what I still have no bottoms, but they took the mold. I left With The since they gave me because I was excited to finally have some teeth and I called to find out when I would have my bottoms and they told me that because I didn't show up for an appointment that they had credited my account for $1900 back in July, but they did not and read more

Most unprofessional dentist office I've ever went to and I've been to quite a few. I've even went to south side low cost dentist offices that were better...Under staffed and felt like no one really knew what they were doing (they had people coming in from other offices to fill positions that just kept saying over and over that they don't even work there.) Didn't feel like they were following good cleanliness practices had me spitting into a trash can that didn't look like it had been changed in a good minute and everything was dusty. Took forever to get into my appointment every time I went in I had to wait like half hour to an hour past my appointment time. Staff were cussing and all kinds of rude behavior while in the middle of my appointment like they were all just there hanging out as friends. The excuse I was given is "I look like a cool guy and like I wouldn't care if they were cussing.... Lol...) I am cool but I'm paying you to be professional...I don't care where you live quit being ghetto... You aren't at home hanging with friends.... Went in with a broke denture plate (tooth broke off) and they put it back for a reasonable price but was further back than it was originally and they basically told me too bad and to get used to it. After throwing a fit they tried to adjust it more by shaving it down so I could close my mouth and even shaved down some of my natural bottom teeth to fit it better which when asked if this would be okay I just looked at the lady like she was stupid and asked her wtf that doesn't seem like a good option....until I realized I had no other choice. It was nice of them to try to help me but were still perfectly happy with me walking out the door with issues so they could get to the next person. By the time I left they had somehow sold me a package to get bottom partial dentures which I didn't go there for and quickly realized...... they just sold me something and there's no one even in the office even capable of doing it..... I called for a refund before the procedure started because I knew it was going to turn into a complete mess which they happily immediately gave me. Likely because they knew they were in over their head and didn't expect me to say I wanted it done with no insurance paying cash. I left feeling like this place is currently employed by sales people and hygienists. They admitted to me they were understaffed and felt no one really cared what was going on. Felt they were all just trying to drone the day away to get through work while rushing the cue along trying to have fun with each other through conversation and I wasn't impressed considering I was about to pay like $5-6k cash. There was one male there that really did try to help me beyond what others did but in the end he wasn't the dentist and all he could do was assist. Nice people... Horrible business... Decided to go elsewhere eventually later. The one thing I can say I do appreciate is the no hassle refund. There were friendly faces and I appreciated that as well but....I prefer a less casual environment for a surgery procedure.... and honestly preferably a larger male and it was literally all females. Normally I wouldn't care but it kind of matters when the dentist that pulled my top struggled so much because my roots are huge and had to use real strength to manage it. I was a new customer scheduled my appointment through their call service. My appointment was rescheduled by them because of overbooking 'ok things happen. I rescheduled per their request. Go in for my new customer appointment, x-rays, and consultation. Office was running a bit behind. Waited approx 30 min after my scheduled time to be seen. Began with my x-rays, apparently there was a tech in training. She had no idea how to do the x-rays and cut my gums while putting in the device backwards. Took 4 xray tries and had to have someone else come in to finish them. I let it go, things happen. Had my consultation found I needed 3 fillings and a cleaning along with my wisdom teeth extractions. Made my appt for the cleaning. Was told only 1/2 cleaning was approved through insurance at a time, and had to have them set up. I Set up my appt. After my appt being RESCHEDULE 2 MORE TIMES by aspen, because of dentists/staff not showing up. I finally went in for my appointment and was told I needed a " deep cleaning " and 3 fillings, and had to be started on a special oral rinse and tooth brush before they could move further. I requested my cleaning and fillings be done at the same time because I couldn't keep taking time off work ( had already taken 3 days off because if rescheduled appts by aspen. ) I explained i had spoke with the hygienist and she said i could do it both filling /cleaning same day. The office manager stated well "she lied to you because that isn't allowed", then the hygienist came up to the manager and said I CAN do it and she put in my appointment in their system same day! I sat with the office manager and she gave me a breakdown of cost ( 3 fillings, cleaning and 3 wisdom extractions included. ) she said it was $6800 without insurance and approximately $3800 with insurance and asked if i wanted to run a care credit. I told her i would like to use my HSA first, and then we could go the care credit route if needed, she ran care credit " just incase" . During that time we were in the middle of setting up my next appointment. Their system went down while she was running the care credit she said it was approved but could not be printed out because their system went down. I waited approximately another hour for it to come back up. She said she was unsure how long it would be down. The last time this happened it was over a week for it to be fixed. She said I could go ahead with the HSA payment and pay for the 1/2 cleaning and 3 fillings. They "could not give me a full receipt because their internet was down , but could run my HSA card and print that receipt. " She had me write on the printed receipt it was for 3 fillings and 1/2 the cleaning. I set up and appointment for the 3 fillings and the second half of the cleaning. Reminded them the dentist wanted me to be started on antibiotics and the could call it into my preferred pharmacy. When I left the office I went to get my antibiotics, they never called it in, so I had to call the office to remind them AGAIN! They finally called it in and I picked them up. Time comes for the appointment for next half of the cleaning and 3 fillings. I get a call stating the dentist isn't available again and they had to reschedule AGAIN!! I frustratingly up another appointment, because I had already paid and - things happen. Go to the rescheduled appt and they said are we running care credit today ? I stated for what the extractions? The office staff stated , no for your 3 fillings and cleaning. I explained that I had already paid for them with my HSA at my last appointment. And I showed her the receipt. She said well that isn't correct and you need to pay $750 for today's visit! I said absolutely not. She then said you can rescheduled your appt until we get things figured out. I said absolutely not ,I want to go somewhere else because i have gotten nothing but the run around here and i want a refund of the $970 I paid. She said they could not refund me because refunds have to go through cooperate. I requested the cooperate number , called them and they said it showed on my account that I paid $970.40 at my last appt. To call back Monday and they could move forward with the refund after the insurance clears - my advice, don't go to Aspen in Avon, 4 rescheduled appointments, my wasted time off work , down $970, and only half a cleaning finished - i am done! Multiple cancellations from this location due to low staffing, improper upfront cost expectations, and incompetence with correcting issues. Over my dental care at this location, I have had multiple cost / professionalism concerns. The office manager will set a cost expectation and collect the proper out of project cost. The concerns are, after the service is completed months later a bill arrives from Aspen attempting to collect additional funds. When I contact the office I was advised this would be addressed and written off by the office manager. Months later another bill comes and I have to make an additional follow up call to resolve the concern. Secondly, the office will schedule an appointment and a text will be received confirming your appointment. However, the office will cancel your appointment without notice. Also, if you need any weekend appointments this location is not open on the weekends even if the website, their posted hours of operation, and the cooperate office confirm that Saturday appointments should be available for patients. Lastly, the work I had completed was a filling. Within 1 week the filling fell out and required rework. read more

This office sent me home with a new upper Denture that I could not wear by the time I got home. This Denture was cutting my gums in several areas. The woman that attempted to fit my Denture told me to go home and let my gums get usto it an just give us a call and we can address sore spots. I called when I could not wear the Denture and was told that they could get me in in a week and a half. I just paid 2000.00 cash up front for my Denture and they acted like they had no issue with not being able to use my Denture. When having Denture work done at this location patient is led to this back room with dirty old equipment and a very chaotic and unprofessional environment. I left with molding material all over my clothes and beard that I was left to clean up myself. The corners of my mouth were cut due to forcing a mold in my mouth that was way to big. Please do yourself a favor and find a professional to do your Denture work. Not recommend at all. read more

They are more concerned with getting their job done...your level of comfort-ability is no concern of theirs. They could use a little more patience with patients like myself. I called and scheduled an appt w a super nice lady. turns out theyre just a call center that makes the appts, shes located acrossed the country. so i think im all set. i get to the place 10 mins before my appt and the lady is on the phone. thats fine. i wait 10 mins for her to get off said call. also fine. but whats not fine is she asks my name and says that bc i didnt "make a verbal confirmation" of my appt, it was cancelled. WHY THE FUCK WOULD I HAVE TO CALL AND TELL THEM IM COMING TO AN APPT I SCHEDULED?! I had my original appointment,I have had multiple strokes,and I couldn't speak up about the problem I had with this,they took my impressions with my original teeth still in.They were worried all about the money, I took care of that,because of the fact it was a self pay.My teeth came back in a week,I still had my original teeth in,so I couldn't try them on,but the lady that gave them, was very nice, and told me to come back once a month to see how it was healing.Then to come back after 6 months to get my permanent set.I couldn't afford the price they quoted me, so I found a place that was cheaper and would let me make monthly payments,but Aspen wanted half up front and the other half before the procedure.Well anyway this lady Kari, who is the accountant or something was pleasant, till she found out I had to have my extractions done somewhere else,she was extremely difficult and rude.The original plan was void, since when do I speak to accountant to make another appointment for my follow up. Since when does this person need to come to the room and tell me I owe this and that.Since then my temporary teeth don't fit right and you can actually see through them.Now what, I am afraid to call back there,it was a total waste of money.I can't honestly feel good about referring Aspen to anyone else. read more

If I could rate lower I would. My wife has been needing to have her wisdom teeth out and our regular dentists oral surgeon quit the practice suddenly on them and forced us to reschedule to this terrible company. At our regular dentist the removal was going to be $500 after insurance. At her consultation they told us the removal would be $800 so we agreed on that and paid the extra because she needed them out. Then we show up for her removal and they changed the price to $1,150 on us because apparently they didn't code enough anesthesia at the consultation and they "miscoded" her removals. I feel this is a deceptive bait and switch maneuver by this company to price gouge her procedure. If you don't want to pay more than double what a procedure should cost do not use this practice. read more

Due to my family dentist not being available, I went to Aspen Dental in Crawfordsville on June 16th with tooth pain. I got right in, was examined, & was told I needed a root canal. I was told I needed to go to an Aspen Dental facility in Avon where I could be scheduled on an earlier date. They treated me so well that I decided to continue having them do the work on my tooth. On June 21st an appointment was made for July 5th. I was informed that I would need to pay the total cost upfront & they would refund the portion that my insurance paid for the procedure. I paid $344.40 at that time. When I went for my July 5th appointment, I was examined a second time & was told that a root canal could not be performed due to the condition of the base of my tooth. They needed to extract my tooth & replace it with an implant. I informed them I needed to discuss this with my wife before going forward. I asked them when I would receive the portion the insurance covered & I was told it would be 10-14 business days. I have called the Avon office multiple times requesting a copy of my bill that was submitted to the insurance with no success in receiving it. Each time I was told 10-14 business days for whatever financial question I asked them regarding my office visit. They did inform me in the middle of August that they still had not heard from my insurance. I called my insurance company & was informed that a payment was paid to Aspen Dental on July 31st. It's September 1st & I'm still waiting. Oh, by the way, an independent endodontist performed a root canal on the tooth that Aspen wanted to pull out & install an implant. The endodontist filed with the insurance company & I had my money in hand in less than 10 days. read more

Went here for the first time and it was a good experience. They tell you costs of things not covered by insurance up front lounge fluoride treatments. Very thorough x-rays and they sit and discuss with you issues, treatment and cost. I get a cleaning this weekend so I will update after. read more

A number of dental offices have closed because of the coronavirus. Aspen remained open but taking precautions (e.g., wait in your car until they come to get you for your appointment, everybody wears a mask). Aspen Dental provided free initial x-rays and free initial exam. Wait times were long between procedures, but who can complain at that price? I later underwent an extraction which went very well. I'll be going back for more work. I noticed a sign at the front door which listed a number (6 or 7?) different dentists, so I imagine your experience may vary depending on which dentist you see. I'm quite satisfied with what I experienced. read more

This was first time going here and I told the lady that I just wanted to get a basic clean she said ok and confirmed my "cleaning" However when I got there I was told that there would be no cleaning but rather a consultation. I had an appointment yesterday at the Avon Aspen Dental location I've had Dentures with Aspen Dental for several years I paid cash $3,500 I'm disabled so that is a lot of money for me you get seven years warranty in the last three years that I've had my teeth they have broke six times one tooth in the front broke out five times the last time it broke out the Aspen associate drilled it into the plate and crack my plate I had an appointment to get that replaced since repairing has not worked in the past they understood my situation when I made my appointment when I got there they wanted me to pay out of pocket for a office visit and an exam as I stated before I am on disability where I have Medicare and they do not take my insurance I did not have cash for the exam had I been informed ahead of my appointment I could have made arrangements to have money I was so distraught that they would not help me that I got upset and started yelling and crying they escorted me to my car and threaten to call the police I called the corporate office I am still waiting to find out what they are going to do I even said please just give me my money back so I can go to another dentist office where the associates are more accommodating I am very disappointed furthermore where I got my dentures that location closed down they told me because they didn't put the dentures in they could not help me it is not my issued that their office is closed down therefore they should be able to help me at any Aspen Dental location do they expect me to follow the dentist around that was at that location because that is the dentist that put in my dentures it's ridiculous I am super mad I have recommended Aspen Dental to several friends that I have totally told them how I feel and how they have treated me read more

I went in for my initial exam so I can get a cleaning. I had never been here before, but they had decent reviews online so I gave them a try. I will not be returning. They told me I had gengivitis (fine, not a problem). Well afterward when I was checking out, they told me I had to do a gengivitis treatment plan that was $530 out of pocket. I explained I could not afford that and they pushed me to get a credit card for a payment plan. I still said no, explaining my situation and asked if I could just do a normal cleaning, as that is covered by insurance. All she said at that point was "no", and then told me to call back if I decide I can do the payment plan. I then had to leave with them refusing to do a cleaning. Aspen Dental gave my husband such a horrible experience, I have to make sure everyone knows about it to save them time, money, and the same frustrations. It started in Iraq when his teeth were destroyed and the VA didn't care enough to fix them. So we decided we'd just get it done at Aspen Dental. Huge mistake. In 2015 he went in to get the uppers done. We decided to do the lowers at a later date because with 2 children and one income, we couldn't flip the bill. Anyway. The permanent uppers didn't fit at all so they said they'd have to redo them but they'd wait until the lowers are done so they fit properly. Fast forward to present. We want to finally get this finished so he went in for an appointment to get started on the lowers. He was told they'd call the next day with a price. Weird, but whatever. No call. 2 weeks later he called back and he was told they'd call back later. No call. Days later he called and they still had no idea what the price was so he asked to speak to a manager. They scheduled a call back that we never received. Huge surprise. He called the manager and she was awful. Absolutely awful. She argued with him that he got his uppers. He continued to explain that they didn't fit so he never actually received them. Then he said he just wants a price on the lowers so we can get his new upper also, and she told him that based on his attitude, they're now refusing service. He wasn't mean, he was just a customer trying to get the service done properly and they couldn't handle admitting that they have no idea what they're doing. He said all he wants is a refund for the cost of the permanent upper denture since we already paid for it and now we'll have to get it somewhere else. She said no because the service was complete. He said it doesn't fit and never received it so it was not complete and she just kept repeating that the service was complete until we hung up. $3500 later, all we have is a temporary top denture and a lot of frustration. read more

Going to the dentist is something that most people do not enjoy. The Aspen dental Avon office completely changed my perspective with their friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. The hygienist was very kind and gentle, completely pain free. Both her and the doctor took the time to answer all of my questions and customized a personal plan to improve my oral health. I strongly recommend going to the Avon Aspen Dental office next time you need dental work or simply due for a cleaning. If you have had less than desired experiences in the past with other offices, you are simple at the wrong office. read more

needed to establish a relationship with a new dentist. this group spent at least an hour the first visit explaining what they would suggest as a plan for treatment. this visit was NO CHARGE! Went back for x-rays and cleaning. they were short staffed that day and had a temp. aide. she wasn't familiar AT ALL with this office and it seemed, also, of anything dental. The point in saying that is to say the hygienist, while already busy, patiently answered this girl's questions. This hygienist (glasses and long braids) was very professional yet personable. She was super thorough with my procedure and explanatory when I had questions. I'm 60+ and this was the best cleaning I've had in many years if ever. Got stains off my teeth that I had been told was "just the way older teeth get" YAY! A very accommodating office in all aspects. A++++ read more

I have not had a good experience here. When I went for just my cleaning, they did an okay job. Then I got a mystery bill in the mail (both times I went), which made no sense because my insurance covered my cleaning. They never really explain anything to you. The Dr. just looked at my teeth and said something to the hygienist and walked out without talking to me, and without telling me about the two cavities I had. When I had fillings done they numbed my mouth 45 minutes before they started working on me. By the time they got around to me the novacaine had started wearing off in some areas and they had to give me more shots. I now have tons of canker sores in that area from all of the shots. My bite is not comfortable despite telling them this after my appointment. Their explanation was just that my mouth was numb.. Its not numb anymore and it is still not comfortable at all. I will never go back here and never recommend this to anyone. read more
