I did an x-ray last year and I got tooth pain in the back since then. It's been a year now. They told me it would go away I tried calling last year to let them know that I had that no call back. I came in April told them everything again they told me they will refer me . Dr O told me they will refer me since the x-ray came back with nothing. I called they told me no referral was on file and they couldn't prescribe me anything for my pain. Prior to that they never called me back for my invisiline I had to keep showing up to the office to get scheduled. Now I have a tooth ache and face swelling. read more

I am an ongoing patient at this Aspen Dental office. Last night my temporary denture broke. This morning I called the office and spoke to Tessa. she was very helpful and advised me to come in Monday morning to have the denture repaired in their dental lab. She informed me that there would be no charge since the denture is still under warranty. This office is always helpful and friendly. They treat their patients with respect and care. Very hard to get hold of the office, I had new permanent dentures put in on Monday morning I called Tuesday to let them know that my bottom one needs to be adjusted they say that they cannot see me until Thursday. I went to Aspen Dental because they are in my insurance network. They cleaned my teeth and gave me a filling, the whole visit took about 1/2 hr. I left the office having been assured that I had paid my part of the bill. About a week later I received a bill in the mail. I called my insurance provider and asked if Aspen Dental was allowed to balance bill (they are not). My provider got on the phone with Aspen Dental and myself and I was assured that I owed nothing further. I asked for confirmation by email that my bill was paid in full and was told it would be sent (hasn't arrived yet). Shady business practices. If I had paid that bill they would have taken my money. read more

Was there with a loose filling. Called them at 7:00am.made appointment for 8:15am. Got there did check In .took x ray. The hygienist was rud.the Dr was really rude and bad. Wasn't going to fill it,and of course, he wanted to do the most expensive thing crown it. And maybe next week.i am in pain, and he did nothing. The office lady couldn't even talk to me as a human. Not coming back. Read posts/comments and majority are bad. The furniture is gross and needs to be replaced immediately. For me, it makes the front lounge area look dirty. People I was in contact with are very nice. When coming in for x-rays and treatment plan, cleaning should be combined. I was told to come back the next day for cleaning. When making the appointment, I told them I wanted to get a Periodontal cleaning. Makes it seem like you are trying to get more money for another office visit. Lastly, parking is a night mare. Aspen Dental is the worst sort of practice. They advertise free xrays and an evaluation. Then they bill you for them. I had just had a deep tooth cleaning from the dental College of Georgia. But my Aspen dentist insisted I needed a deep dental cleaning, and I needed it now. I pointed out I had one less than 6 weeks ago. He said he couldn't speak to that. I asked him if I let Aspen do it, would I need another one in 6 weeks. He said he couldn't speak to that either. About all he could speak to was a $2000 + treatment. All I've needed was basic x-rays and twice yearly cleanings, yet every experience has been misscheduled, cancelled/rescheduled, erroneously billed, or significantly delayed. I had my initial appointment and cleaning in November and December of 2022, I was supposed to have had a follow up the following week. Every month they have called and changed my appointment because they say they have no in network dentist for insurance. I highly recommend finding someone else to use. This place is the absolute most unprofessional , overpriced dentist in and near Augusta . My last visit , I had to hold my own suction . The dentist left me on hold 3 times after anesthesia was given so eventually it wore off . It literally felt like my brains for being sawed out . I prepaid $500 for crowns and changed my mind after the level of incompetence shown and magically my money has disappeared to just $130 . Run , do not walk , away from this place. I've requested three times that I have an appointment with BaTai to review financing and the $1500 off deal for Invisalign . I waited 30 minutes after a cleaning and gave my information to the front desk. I also called on two different occasions and left messages requesting a return call. I had to cancel my first Invisalign appointment bc I never got a call back. I even spoke to the office manager and there still wasn't follow through on my request. It seems strange that a follow up call can't occur within a week's time. read more

My mother called me from this dental office today. She was given a quote and was told to request a line of credit from Care Credit so that she can have this dental work completed. She requested the line of credit, receive the line of credit and paid Aspen Dental the full amount for their services. She arrives for her appointment today and was told that they could not provide her with service because she has a balance of $485. She called me and shares this information and I asked to speak to the person in charge. The lady precedes to explain to me how my mother's charges for the services are $2,360, Care Credit had approved her for $2,400 and that my mother had paid the amount in full. At this point I'm confused, because the bill clearly has been satisfied, however, you will not provide her with the services that she has paid you for. The lady said that she would have to call me back. Before hanging up, I asked her if I could pay half today and half later so that my mother could go ahead and have the work done that she has ALREADY paid for in full. I was told no. I was told that she could not receive services until the past due, THAT SHE WAS NOT EVEN AWARE OF, was paid. A few minutes later, she had someone from the finance department call me. The person from Finance explained that my mother had work done in April that the insurance company did not pay, so the $485 was to cover that service. Now it's starting to make sense, however, what a terrible business practice. First off, if the insurance company had denied a claim, my mother should have been informed IMMEDIATELY. Why would you allow her to pay for a new service, show up for an appointment and then place her in a predicament to where she can only be serviced if she pays a pass bill that SHE DID NOT EVEN KNOW EXISTED? The person from Finance apologized and stated that they would not have refused my mother service and that they would have allowed her to set up a payment plan. Really?? This is news to me, because I just asked your coworker if my mother could receive the services THAT SHE PAID FOR IN FULL and if I could pay half on the $485 and pay the balance later and I was told NO. That was deceitful and in my humble opinion, VERY unethical. You placed the person, A SENIOR CITIZEN, that needed your services in a situation that, had she not had children, she would have been refused. My mother is on a fixed income and under no circumstances does she just walk around with a extra $485. You all should examine your business practices and do better because what you did today was again, UNETHICAL and DECEITFUL. You should have explain to her before she arrived that she had a balance, so that she could make arrangements to pay you. You also lied to my face and told me that I could not pay half today and half later. AND you lied to my face, AGAIN, when you told me that my mother could not receive services until the past due was paid in full. The bill is paid, however, I feel that it was my responsibility to share this information with the public. I would hate for some unsuspecting victim to arrive at your location and be in the same situation that my mother was in. I scheduled an appointment here because my regular dentist was busy. I had a hard piece of food wedged between my gum and rear molar for two days that I couldn't remove myself. I was worried about infection so I came here. I had two people examine it and they determined it was a sliced gum. They advised to purchase a mouth wash (in house) and let it heal naturally. I'm glad I declined that because I was finally able to remove the piece of food myself. Had I listened I could have gotten a severe infection from a simple problem. read more

And Good Heavens! If you dont confirm your Monday Appointment via voicemail while you are at work on Friday (not a day sooner) then you can forget your Monday Appointment. They can't even send a text message reminder to the right telephone number! So I'm 7 minutes late for my cleaning @2:30 today because I had to catch a Uber because of a broken down car. TOO LATE! Utterly horrible experience. Went in for an emergency visit, had a tooth so inflamed that my face was swollen - I could hardly see out of one eye. Instead of dealing with the bad tooth immediately and talking about a care plan later, they sent me back up front *after* the dentist's exam to talk about and get me to sign up for a care plan first! I said that I couldn't think about anything while in such pain, please just take care of this tooth and then we'll make a plan. So the guy backspaced out of all his apparently pre-entered info, and sent me back to the lounge to wait. They seemed surprised that I was there for a procedure that day! I waited for THREE AND A HALF HOURS! Apparently I was forgotten once I didn't sign up for anything. The procedure itself, once finally underway, took a whole 10 minutes. Also, they apparently sold my email to everyone and their grandmother, my inbox if full of crap I would never, ever, under any circumstances have an interest in. Worst medical experience ever in my 60 years. AND they apparently sold my email all over the place, instantly. My inbox is now getting filled with crap I NEVER would want more info on. Don't go it's a waste of your TIME. I went to go get a chipped tooth repaired and was told I had a gum infection, bone loss etc. Their treatment plan for me was over 1000$ and I never got my tooth fixed. I went to another dentist office the next day and got my tooth fixed. I showed them my findings from Aspen Dental and they only found one issue. They also mention that Aspen is know for doing this. The doctors and technicians are very nice. Their pricing is very high. The treatment plan for deep cleaning and a mouth guard was over $2000. I just got the mouth guard which was $551. They don't accept my insurance to I paid for it myself via my credit card. Their website shows first time visit with xrays for new customers is no charge and if you don't have dental insurance you get 20% off your treatment plan. I chose the mouth guard plan but did not get the 20% off. I will be getting my cleaning where my insurance is accepted. read more

The staff was very friendly. I went thinking I could get lower cost care. I did not like the attitude of the dentist. They have an in house lab which makes me think their main purpose is to sell dentures. The first thing I was asked was if I had thought of full dentures. I know my teeth have issues but I have never had a dentist suggest that. I felt like I was at a used car dealership. They were definitely trying to sell dentures. read more

I just had an exam at Aspen dental last week and I was so impressed! I was dreading my appointment from the day I scheduled it until days later when I pulled into the parking lot. Everyone I encountered on the staff was amazing, they were all very kind, informative, and professional, they made me feel completely comfortable. I was able to go in and receive a complete exam with x-rays at no cost which I could hardly believe, I kept waiting for a catch but it never came! Now I know exactly what I need done as well as pricing. I will definitely recommend this location and Aspen dental in general to everyone! The worst. I have tmj and was waiting for this appointment for a month and I was dealing with discomfort and pain. Only to show up to my appointment and they canceled it! Because they said that I did not confirm my appointment when they called. But I told them that I did confirm my appointment I received an email asking to confirm my appointment and it even thanked my for doing so. The receptionist told me that the email didn't count that I had to do a verbal confirmation. I was so upset what was the point of sending me an email?! Why didn't they tell me about that when I made the appointment in the first place? It was really difficult for me to be there i have two kids one a newborn. My mom took a day off from work to watch my kids only to have my appointment canceled. The receptionist didn't even care, she had no concern (Hannah was her name). So remember even if you get an email to confirm your appointment and it thanks you for doing so, it doesn't matter they will just cancel your appointment anyways even if you never called to even cancel it! read more

I would define Aspen Dental & the owner as a torture chamber. I went in for an infection for one tooth. I asked specifically for antibiotics & will return upon finishing antibiotics. Well Kavita Patel refuse to prescribe antibiotics, pulled the infected tooth & 2 others that were on a fixed bridge, that were not bothering Me. I was ok with those teeth being remove. I was eventually going to them extracted. She began to extract My tooth on the lower mouth, last tooth in mouth #31. I could feel the extraction & replied stop I can feel the pain& it was excruciating. She replied I can give You anymore numbing medicine because I've given You the maximum. The assistant then put gauze on My extractions. And briefly spoke to Dentist Kavita Patel , She stated be sure to keep mouth clean & get medicine that was phoned in to CVS. She does no work up fare as blood pressure check allergies to different medicine, My spouse went to get medicine & the medication She phoned in 2 out of the 3 I'am allergic to. This took place on March 26, 2021. I phone the pharmacist to ask if I could use naproxen as opposed to Motrin to help with swelling, She replied yes. The pain med was hydrocodone. My back tooth She started pulling out & left as of today 4/22/2021 I have yet to have tooth removed, due to My ear drum that almost burst on Me. Went to prompt care on 4/13 & the E.R. on 4/16/21due to dizziness. I received a call from the front desk stating that My following up appt would be canceled on 4/9 I was in awww,I went to Augusta dentures & payed $95.00 for a panaramic X-ray. She referred Me to a wonderful Oral surgeon. Seen Him on 4/19 couldn't extract due to blood pressure 189/110. Went to Doc on 4/20 & as mentioned in the beginning of this review was put on prednisone & a third batch of antibiotics the zpac. I did return to Aspen in which She was too busy to attend to Me & put on more meds antibiotics & Tylenol/ codein, which I'am allergic to. I called Aspen emergency after he line a Lady picked up & stated She would page the Dr. never heard back until the next morning. I received a voice mail to call to schedule an appt. they have hung up on Me, when I phone back they put answering service on. I felt so disappointment. As I write this review I'am in pain, I didn't ask for this they are surely after money once the insurance was received I was a nobody. Also I spoke to the financial guy whom was trying to set Me an appt for dentures. I replied to Him I have a tooth half way extracted & your trying to set an appt for dentures. The doors need to be closed.when I phoned back asking about an oral surgeon that's when the front desk became extremely rude. And upon returning after canceled appt I was the last patient to be called back & should have been the 1st. I could have lost My life . If She would have given Me what I ask for, I wouldn't be in this predicament. Hopefully next week I will have it extracted. I must get a clearance from My Doc. Terrible service read more

Please do your research before having any services here. Since April of last year I've been a patient and every visit was worst than the last. They will wait until you get there wait for hours and then tell you they don't have the equipment or for some odd reason your appointment just gets canceled. Monday was the final straw for me. After rescheduling my appointment three times already I took the initiative to call ahead of time and confirm my appointment. The guy says yes it's still at 1800. I'm literally getting ready for my appointment and have a missed call from the office and Stacy leaves a message saying that my appointment has to be rescheduled AGAIN bc the doctor didn't have the appropriate equipment. Mind you this is 25 minutes before my appointment and it's the end of the day how are you just figuring out you don't have what you need !!!! I call and the lady that picked up the phone was very rude and disrespectful and acted as I did something to her and said that it's because the doctor had an emergency. I told her that's not what was left on my voicemail and then she wanted to yell and argue with me like she was literally arguing with me. So she hung up in my face and told me before she did it she was going to hang up in my face. So I called back and no answer she kept sending me to voicemail. All I'm trying to do is reschedule my appointment. So when she does pick up she rude and disrespectful again so I ask to speak to her manager. Her manager said the doctor had an emergency so I asked well why did you tell me 25 minutes before my appointment it was something else so somebody is lying. She lied for her and said that she didn't hang up in my face the lines were down and I told her that's not true she told me before she hung up in my face she was going to do it so now they are both lying at this point. They literally lied and I still have every phone call and voicemail with the times and you can see where they told me one thing and did another. Do your research and save your money this place needs to be shut down and my money needs to be refunded by these scammers bc once you and your insurance pays out they can't seem to help you anymore and then have the nerve to sit here and lie when I have proof !!! Their television commercials say they give you upfront pricing and we'll stick to it however, we made an appointment for my daughter who recently dropped off our insurance. Upon making the appointment we were told the initial screening and annual cleaning would run around $60 to $80. unfortunately when her appointment date around that conflicted with her college classes so she needed to reschedule. that led to another 3 months for an appointment. when that day arrives they told her that they would only be doing x-rays and having a doctor look at them. she was informed that she needed a wisdom tooth removed at a cost of $700 and that they couldn't even tell her what a simple cleaning would cost until a hygienist looked at her and she just happened to be on vacation that week so a follow-up appointment for the next week was made. now they're saying that a deep cleaning and extraction of wisdom tooth will cost $1,500 and that they would not even consider a standard annual cleaning until she went through gum therapy 4 poor maintenance on her part. the entire point of going to a place like this is for coverage for those who don't have insurance in my opinion if my daughter was still covered under my insurance this would have been a simple visit with minimal fees even if there was a deep cleaning needed it would have only been an additional $100 understanding that the insurance was covering most of that. it's no wonder everybody bitching about the health care in this country. But please be aware that they will do whatever they can to upsell you on whatever they can sucker you into and that there is no just simple appointment because you don't have insurance. If you really want to get stuff done and have the time to burn I suggest here locally that you look into the dental program at AU as they are usually accepting patients depending on what the students are studying. read more

I do not recommend the location in Augusta, GA! I went in for a check up and most of the staff was great until I met Trenton who I believe is their finance person. Trenton, was explaining to me the total of my treatment and payment plan and told him before I agree to anything I would have to discuss this with my husband. Well during the conversation he managed to get information out and opened a line of credit for me without telling me what he was doing. Days after my visit I called and spoke with him and asked him if he had ran my credit and he said no that it was just for their office use and it shouldn't and wouldn't appear on my credit history. Well, over the weekend I received a letter congratulating me on my new dental credit line. I called to speak with him and he tells me that I signed and agreed to this which the only document I signed was a document he told me was acknowledging that he had reviews the information with me. If you're a patient or thinking of going to the Augusta location please make sure this doesn't happen to you. He is fraudulently opening accounts for clients for his own benefit. I spoke with the manger who was very nice and stated she was going to speak with her manager to see if there is anything they can do, hopefully they do because people like Trenton give their office a bad reputation. read more
