She was very accommodating and, as part of this discussion, we relayed that we would be coming to Sorrento from Rome. As part of this discussion, because we had a large group of eight, we figured out that it would be cheaper and a lot easier, to book them as a car service from Rome to Sorrento. So, we ended up using them for both the car service and the tour. During this process, or arrival date, departure date, and total number of persons changed a few times. Luisa was non-plussed and accommodated each change easily. Great Service! We were assigned Luigi Iaccarino as our driver from Rome. He is a very entertaining man! As we were looking to go to Pompeii from Sorrento, he suggested that we stop on the way, as there would be a break in the weather and it would save us about three hours round trip from Sorrento. We chose to do this and it only cost us an extra 10 Euros a piece for two hours at Pompeii. It ended up working out perfectly, and Luigi waited for us and was right where he said he would meet us, right on time. During the ride from Rome to Sorrento, he also frequently advised us of possible rest stops, points of interest, and possible places to stop to shop for local products, (yum limoncello!) I think Luigi enjoyed our company, because he ended up being our driver the next day for our tour. Again, it was a great drive filled with perfect anecdotes and recommendations for stops. He went the extra mile, (should I say kilometer?,) and took us different ways that were less direct but had better views and stops. He was also very warm and open about his life, talking about his parents, where he grew up, his time in the US where he worked in the shipping industry, the death of his brother-in-law that made his wife ask him to leave that business, and his wife and children. He even drove us by his family's little market store near Sorrento and honked at his wife! Both Luisa and Luigi were a joy to work with and, if you do get Luigi as a driver, be sure to ask him why his nickname and his market is "Mezzanotte".

Half-Day Tour of Pompeii with Lello: My partner and I wish…read morewe had booked a longer tour because we were beyond mesmerized with learning and seeing Pompeii's rich legacy and history. Our archeologist tour guide Lello educated us with everything we needed to know, so when the tour was done, my partner and I could navigate around the ruins with ease and soak in the must see spots we couldn't get to in the tour, with the knowledge Lello gifted us, that really helped with appreciating what we were looking at and where we we standing. Hopefully we get to go back to Italy in the future, and if we do do we would book another tour of Pompeii with Tours of Pompeii with Lello & co. Thank you for this amazing experience!

As soon as I reviewed it, I knew it was one of the things I just had to do with my family, particularly the "Lemon Picnic Experience". I contacted my travel advisor, Fabio Ilardi of "Italy Bespoke Tours" to help me arrange the picnic experience. My dreams got bigger and I thought of the possibility of having a family photo session at the lemon farm. I asked Fabio to contact the lemon farm to check to see if was even permissible to bring a professional photographer on site for a formal portrait session. Fabio called the farm and the manager, Mr. Salvatore Aceto granted us permission. Honestly, I felt like I won the lottery. I was so excited and grateful. I researched local Amalfi Coast photographers and fell in love with Emiliano Russo's website. I loved his eye and his ability to capture light in his photography. I then found out Emiliano actually personally knew the Aceto family and took photos of the family in the past. You can actually still see posters of Emiliano's photography at the check out counter at the lemon farm today as Emiliano pointed them out to me when we were on site. Honestly, I think all of this was fate! On arrival to the farm, Andrea our guide greeted us. She was so welcoming, fun, and enthusiastic. She exuded passion and love for her family's lemon farm. She explained that her family has been taking care of this lemon farm for the past 200 years. She toured us through the museum and then showed us a large Sfusato Amalfitano lemon. If you could bottle up all the sunshine and happiness into an object, let it be the Sfusato Amalfitano lemon! It was honestly as large as a cantaloupe. There were climbs to different terraces of the farm and each level got prettier and prettier, like we were reaching heaven. The views and the lemon trees just got more gorgeous the higher we climbed. Along the way our photographer Emiliano and his assistant photographer Felice Tozzi captured pictures of my family during the journey. I am glad of this, because honestly I needed something tangible after this experience to remind me this was all real and not just a beautiful dream! We then returned to the cafe area. Andrea poured us the freshest and tastiest lemonade ever! We were then brought to the private picnic area to have lunch. The meal was amazing! After lunch, we came back to the cafe area to have dessert. The lemon sponge cake was divine. My boys had the traditional lemon cake. My youngest son told me it was the best lemon cake he has ever had. We also had limoncello and a lemon flavored espresso! While sitting in the cafe, Mr. Salvatore Aceto greeted us. I immediately jumped up to shake his hand and to thank him for giving us permission to do the photo session in his farm. He then pointed further down the cafe that his father was just across the way and wanted to introduce us to him. Honestly, I was star struck! I felt I was meeting a celebrity. Mr. Luigi Aceto stood up from his chair to greet me and he kissed my hand twice. I was so in awe of him taking care of this beautiful farm his entire life. I also found out that the following day was going to be his 91st birthday! I then thanked Mr. Salvatore Aceto again and honestly I started to cry happy tears. The day was truly a dream come true and I will be forever grateful. The Aceto family did not only make us feel like VIPs for the afternoon, they made us feel like family. My only regret is that I forgot to ask to eat the lemon whole with the rind! How I interpret this is that I WILL return someday to this beautiful lemon farm to do just that and book another picnic experience. May God continue to bless your beautiful family and lemon farm for the next 200 years and beyond! I hope my post inspires others to enjoy your lemon picnic experience! WOW! WOW! WOW! We're wrapping up four weeks in Europe and…read morethis was one of the highlights! We did the all day premium Capri boat tour and it was fantastic! Here are a few things you might find helpful: We were in the 8:30 departure. You're first stop is Capri where you'll be dropped off. Our return time to the marina was 1:30. So there's time to go to the top if you're smart and go right away. We went to Capri town and while the gardens were worthwhile, the high end shops were just that. And got crowded as the day progressed. Our friends went to Anacapri and took the chair lift to the top and LOVED it. In retrospect that would have been a better choice for us. Make sure you leave time to get back down because there will be lines, maybe long ones. Our group chose not to do the Blue Grotto. They do that after we return so this is something to discuss beforehand, as the time you WILL wait in line for that (1.5 hours had we done it) will cut into the magic that was ahead. Then we went around the island into the little grottos and they even took fun pictures. Then we swam! It was GORGEOUS!!! It's chilly but DO IT. The water is turquoise and truly magical. Antonio and the Captain were fabulous. They made it SO fun, adding a few surprises that I won't reveal . The time in the boat was the BEST! DO IT!!!!!!

This service could be 5+ stars but they lose it in the details. I'll give it four because I loved the view and overall it was a fun experience. Now, onto the details that could be improved. Our boat captain seemed pretty disinterested most of the time, occasionally pointing out sights but we had to ask him for information most of the time. He spent a lot of time on his phone, occasionally driving too fast over the waves, we actually got completely soaked at one point. We also never got the advertised and promised homemade limoncello, which was kind of disappointing. Despite missing out on the finer details, it was a beautiful ride around Capri.
