I called earlier in the day and spoke to a guy who floated carlo as being very great and how he'd call me back later in the day "he did" Carlo called and I explained how I've never worn A toupee before and how I'd need fitment and trim for a system I purchased online. I asked carlo to give me an idea of pricing of what it might run me ball park and he refused multiple times siting that there were to many factors. He then proceeded to tell me how the hair system I got must not be of very good quality (without even seeing it mind you) and how i should had just purchased one from him instead. I asked what a ball park pricing might be that one of his systems and yet again he refused to give me any type of pricing ideas. I finally got fed up with that type of attitude and ended the call. If someone doesn't want my business then I clearly don't want to give it to him either. I read lot of reviews the he's very compassionate towards his clients but I certainly didn't get that and instead met with a rude money hungry person who only cares for his own needs and not the customers. Highly recommend to stay clear of him. I however don't have an opinion for rest of the studio as I didn't chat with anyone else except the initial call taker and he was great. Two weeks after my 1st chemo session, I hadn't lost any hair so I thought I was one of the lucky ones. The day after the 2nd week, I was washing my hair and I had handfuls of hair in my hands. Every time I ran my fingers through my hair, more & more hair came out. I was not expecting my hair to fall out like this. I thought it would be a gradual thing. This should be explained better. Within 3 days most of my hair was gone so I used a shaver to remove all that was left giving me a buzz cut as you shouldn't shave to close to the scalp. In the binder they gave me at the Hospital was Transitions Studios for Wigs. I contacted Carlo & he was able to get my wig by the following week and it was perfect. As it was during the pandemic time, our correspondence was all done by email. I sent him pictures of the colour & style I wanted and I was amazed at how exact he had it made. Actually, the style was better & the colour was perfect. My sister-in-law liked it so much she asked if I could have one made for her as her hair is getting thin. Again, Carlo is a genius. The wig was the exact colour & style she wanted. Again, this was all by email as she lives on Maryland. Carlo knows what a woman wants.

The store was neat and full of hope with a pretty good selection of both. We were greeted by Mary, the sole employee on the floor this particular afternoon. We told her precisely what we were looking for and she told us the extensions were a bit expensive and probably wouldn't work for what my friend wanted. My friend told her cost wasn't an issue, so Mary then told her that their selection of colors was limited and it would be tough to match her hair (my friend's hair is light brown with some natural highlights). At this point, I'm feeing like this girl absolutely doesn't care if she makes a sale today. The three of us started looking through the extensions, and within two minutes found a perfect match to my friend's hair color. My friend said she'd need two packs of the extensions, and asked if Lengths offered a service to cut them there to the length/style she prefers. (There is a salon off to the side in this store, so it seemed like a fair question.) Mary told us that no, they do not do that there, and explained that two packages of extensions that my friend was intending to "chop in half" would be very expensive. Again, she assured Mary she was willing to pay whatever the cost would be (It turned out to be less than $200). Before finalizing her decision, though, my friend wanted to try a hair topper to see if she could get the look she wanted without having to find a salon to cut it for her. Mary walked us back to where the toppers were and pointed out the ones that are made of human hair. My friend chose one from the top shelf, so Mary got it down and showed it to her. When my friend asked to try it on, Mary informed her it is $5.00 to try it on. My friend agreed to pay it and then Mary put it in her hair in front of a mirror. The cost of the topper was nearly $600, which, surprisingly, Mary never mentioned given her history of pointing out how expensive the extensions were. I happened to notice the price beneath the topper, but my friend did not see the sign. When I said something about the price, my friend decided to go with the extensions. Mary took the extensions to the register and waited for us as we walked through the store looking at the other products. She never offered to help us find anything else and stood there quietly while my friend and I talked about her hair and just random topics. Mary was not ever at one point friendly or helpful. If my friend had other choices, we'd have left and gone somewhere else. If you know exactly what you want, there's a good assortment here of extensions and toppers and wigs. They also have other hair accessories like brushes, shampoo and products. However, if you need help picking something out, this place is probably not for you.

Alright, I admit it, I'm obsessed with this place and no (before you pull my long, dyed hair like…read moreone of my coworkers did) I don't have weave. The people who work there are super nice, they are open decently late (9 or 10pm I think most nights), the place is very clean and they have an obscene amount of security cameras for those nervous about the area (I live not too far from here but this area is a little more shady than mine - during the day I have no worries, but it's not a good idea to be walking around alone at night; come with a friend and park close). They have hair stuff SO cheap, and it is pretty much the same stuff you would buy at a department store or at the mall but at a fraction of the price. They have "knockers" (the figure 8 ponytailers with a bead on either end) for $1 a pack - there are like 8 pairs on a pack, they don't stretch out quick and they have any color you could want, even leopard print, neons and metallics! I got a load of leopard earrings here for $1 a pair, in like ten colors. They just have a HUGE selection - beads (also very good for crafting - they even have wooden ones), barrettes, regular ponytailers, hair clips, pins, all types of rollers including those popular bendy ones, etc. They also, of course, have weave, discount sneakers, belts, etc, but I come for the accessories. They also sell a pretty decent generic brand of lipgloss and nailpolish that is very cheap, doesn't wreak like toxic waste and doesn't make me break out. I usually try to buy stuff either used or made in the US (or from another country with good labor laws) but frankly it's pretty hard to even find this kind of hair stuff not made overseas now that 99% of plastic stuff is made in Asia, so why pay more for it elsewhere?
