But my bestie goes to this spot often so I had to check it out. It's off the beaten path and in a house. But they have signage so you know you're at the right spot. You walk in and BAM!!! It's a modern looking coffee shop. They had coffee. They had pastries. They had tables and chairs. They had cool wall signs to take selfies with. And they had swag! Everything on their menu sounded good. I opted for a hot Horchata latte and I was quite pleased with it. Bestie got their seasonal pumpkin coffee, iced. We shared a Dubai Chocolate croissant. OMG that filling is nom nom nom. And the staff was super cool. I enjoy just being able to have a fun conversation. I totally dog an upbeat atmosphere and that's what I experienced at this unexpected coffee house. Now I know what my bestie has been raving about. I honestly would rarely make it out to Livingston seeing that I'm in Oregon, but this place left me with such a good impression, I just had to share. I do hope to return again to try more of their creations. I got a couple of bumper stickers and will be reppin' them in Oregon.

Happy 1 year to Sueno Coffee!…read more Things have definitely changed since my first review in 2023 so it felt like the right time for a lil update: Sueno closed up shop for about a year, then came back with a full renovation and an entirely new concept. What once was an occasional weekend pop-up has grown into a full-fledged coffee shop. Sueno now features a complete coffee menu, fresh pastries & bagels, cozy indoor seating, a sunny patio, branded merch, community events, and all the charm that made it special from the start. Hours are typically Thursday - Monday, 7 AM - 1 PM. I always recommend checking out their website or insta (@suenocoffeeco) for updates on hours or special events. Mobile order is the way to go if you're looking for a quick in and out. Ample parking is available up front as well. The true inspiration for the updated review is the freaking banana latte, holy shit! This is beautifully done and I cannot get enough. The last couple visits home have started with Sueno Coffee. The Rise & Grind bagels was also such a great addition.

Drinks: 2/5 The cookie butter was mid at best (in my opinion) and the mango sago drink had mushy sago and was watered down. Their drinks somehow tasted better when they were serving it out of a tent. Service: 0/5 To the owner, I get standing on your business but it's like you never worked in service before. You preach good customer service and customers don't expect you to "kiss their ass" (words you used in your own video) but they do expect a remake when a drink you are serving taste like chemicals. To the workers, take a hospitality class. This business has a "cry about it" mentality and me personally, i like being treated like a person. Ambiance: 3.5/5 The way that some people are treated here brings down the ambiance. Overall, my rating is impacted by the customer service and hospitality beliefs of this establishment. When you visit, you better hope that she's in a good mood.

There's plenty of seating inside, plus outdoor seating if you want to sit outside. I got the cafe con leche, which I really enjoyed, and I also grabbed one of their chia seed pudding cups with mango and little pieces of milk chocolate on top. It was such a refreshing little snack! My absolute fave though was the elote bread. It was SO good and definitely the highlight of my visit! The ladies working there were also super sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm in Merced!

They serve them on Friday and Saturday mornings only, and the sauce is nice and spicy, there's a over medium egg on top, and fresh avocado and crema... so good, it's like your gramma made it, if she can throw down in the kitchen! I enjoyed an iced cafe con leche, with a foam top, it was was a perfect way to start my #SelfCareSaturday I get so much work done here when I am in town, it is definitely a special hidden treasure on Main Street. I always try to support local family owned businesses wherever I go. Shout out to Valeria for checking me in and kindly bringing out my drink to my table today, Bobby for the above and beyond customer service as always. I was sitting outside of the cafe and he brought my meal out to me... so kind. And today's chefs that made the best chilequeles, Lety and Yose! It takes a team and this team is the best in the coffee and food service hospitality industry, in my humble opinion of course.

I wasn't very hungry, so I opted for a bowl of soup with a side of cornbread and a slice of pie to go. The soup was hearty and plentiful. I could have gone for a cup instead, but instead took what I couldn't eat to-go and enjoyed it later. The corn bread was delicious--slightly sweet, and moist enough to not fall apart when I cut into it with my fork. I usually love butter with corn bread, which they offered me, but it didn't need it. I wasn't sure which pie to get-they have so many to pick from. Checking out the options in the bakery case didn't help because they all looked so beautiful. I ended up selecting peach, and it was amazing. The peaches were perfectly caramelized but still maintained their texture. The bake of the pie brought out their ultimate peachiness. The crust was just the right thickness. Even though it was a cold slice, the crust remained flakey. The cafe had ample seating. Service was attentive, but not overbearing. Pricing is on the high end, but I'm not sure how much that is because food is so expensive now-a-days. I was a bit surprised to see sandwich combos (with a side) all starting at around $20, and going up from there. It was after 2 in the afternoon, so the bakery had several 50% off boxes of baked goods to select. Four large cookies for I believe $12 or so (I could be wrong). There weren't too many options left in the bakery cases. I would love to see what this place offers when it first opens. Stay tuned for an update once I get that chance.

I was out in Merced a little too early for a work meeting, and wanted some coffee, but not a chain place. Lucky me I was actually just down the street from Jenny's bakery. I was warmly greeted as I came in and immediately feel the family charm of this business. Oldies were playing on the radio, and Jenny's husband was getting things ready in the kitchen. When I found out the Portuguese breakfast was her family recipe beans, and a half order of biscuits and gravy, I was set on what I wanted. I was provided an colorful coffee mug and allowed to have coffee to my hearts content. I opted for the holiday blend. It had a lovely hint of spices, but was not overwhelming. I had no longer sat down than my nice pipping hot bowl of Portuguese beans was placed in front of me and I thought it was a half order. They say it's a half order but that is the huge biscuit and with gravy you would need a party of four to finish. The flavor of the beans were just wonderful. I filled myself up on those and then sopped up some of the beans gravy with the biscuits. My taste buds were very happy. My stomach was over full. I enjoyed some banter with Jenny and her husband along with some patrons that came in. They really try to make everyone feel so much like they're just walking into a family kitchen. I highly recommend a stop and introduce yourself and make some new friends and find yourself a lovely bakery. That's been there right around the corner from the park.
