I can only speak for the 1427 Chapel St location. I will also state first that I stand for Dr…read more Aggarwal, MD. Not only as my doctor but as a friend. NOW WITH THAT SAID. I have been a patient for the last 15 years at least and the level of disrespect, discomfort, lies, misconduct, lack of empathy, compromised ethics, and a lot more. I am very fortunate to have been recording every interaction with every employee in that place. I have treated every worker with the upmost respect. My appointment literally only takes 5 minutes tops. Blood pressure, urine, done. I have had false positives on my urinalysis 7 different occasions now in the last 13 months. According to my records not one of those particular urines were sent to the lab. I have used other methods just to prove with 100 % certainty that this was the case in several of these urinalysis. I have been on the suboxone along with an ADHD med and Anxiety med that I need to function. I was doing amazing until these wonderful people started playing games with my prescriptions and demanding I travel 45 minutes every two weeks for a 5 minute appt including a urine. I am on a low dose adhd control and low dose anxiety control med. I need to take these medications so I can run my business. These employees at the counter( answering phones) and unfortunately now Physician Assistants, Docs, etc truly get satisfaction on making your life hard and miserable. For example, being sent home for being 5 minutes late for the last appt of the day after I just paid 80 dollars to get there and back. Another, being forced to take multiple days of every 2 weeks because I have to fight to get my meds because they were either not called in by the end of the day( this has happened over 16 times) Most of us suffer from addiction and my heart goes out to all that do. I can promise you the majority at 1427 chapels shore does not. I tested positive for a drug that I know have not consumed in anyway possible and the doctor cut of my benzo med that I have been on for 20 years cold turkey, without verifying with the lab, by trying to tell me it wouldn't be safe to give me at least a couple days or a weeks worth due to one positive substance that does not even interact with the benzo I am on. I can tell you for sure what's not safe is to let a healthy individual as myself walk out with the risk of having a massive seizure at any point within the next two weeks. I asked for documentation where it states a doctor can ethically do as such. They gave me the suboxone agreement which is not a matter of life and death and not at all what I asked for. Anyway I can go on and on about the many incidents over the past 5 years at 1427 Chapel. I know there are many patients going through similar with this particular crew at 1427 Chapel. My heart goes out to you all as well. Start recording and documenting if you feel you are being treated unfairly and do not be afraid to question anything that does not make sense or feel right. Dr Aggarwal started something above the rest years ago. I pray people either switch locations and research their rights if some of what I said seems too familiar. Don't let them cost you your job or sobriety by there lack of compassion and understanding.

The surgeons, doctors, and most of the nurses were top-notch. Nurses Naomi in the CTICU and Dai and Karla on SP 5-3 deserve a special shout-out for professional, compassionate and competent care. The real problem with YNHH is that it's a 45-hours-per-week hospital. It's practically a nursing home, except Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. Even then, it can take forever for procedures to be scheduled and to take place. Many departments close up shop for the weekend, and the ONLY goal for the remaining staff seems to be handing everyone, still alive, back to the active practitioners on Monday morning. In preparation for a discharge on Friday morning, a bedside attempt was made to place a PICC-line. When that failed, placement in radiology was needed, but they were unable to schedule that until the following Tuesday. FOUR extra days in the hospital, because of the weekend, and because of not enough personnel/resources to get him into IR in a timely fashion. A frustrating, and expensive delay! Enduring 4 needless inpatient days, with the noise, discomfort, unappetizing/ cold food, and increased risk of infection was unacceptable. There are reminders posted everywhere to SHHH (Silent Hospitals Help Healing), but the loudness in the hallways was intolerable. There is beeping from cardiac monitors 24/7. The CNAs, in particular, think nothing of sitting around the hallways, ignoring call bells, and loudly calling to or chatting with each other, while student nurses do their jobs for them. If the unit even has a manager, he or she was entirely invisible, and the CNAs clearly have no fear of being seen lounging or complaining. Someone's idea of management is obviously "let's put up signs," rather than actually monitoring what's happening on the unit.

I had one seizure in beginning of summer, they did not put me on medication then in November I had another seizure. After that seizure my neurologist at the time Dr. Francine Testa decided to put me on a very small dosage of keppra. Quite literally the smallest dosage you could take. I'm not sure why I wasn't prescribed keppra after my first seizure considering epilepsy runs in my family. My sister has seizures in highschool, and my great grandmother often had similar episodes. The doctors were known of my family's history and after my second seizure I was never diagnosed with epilepsy so I thought these were random seizures since I was never told I had epilepsy. Then months later I went to Dr. Testa to receive blood work to test the levels of keppra in my body. She quote on quote told me if your levels are low and alarming we will call you if we do not see an alarming level we will not call you. So if you don't hear from us then your levels were fine and we don't need to up the dosage. A week had gone by and I hadn't heard from the doctors so I assumed that my levels were okay since that is what I was told. I needed to refill my medication because I was running low and I requested to refill it and was denied. I tried calling and requesting the medication from both my doctor and the pharmacy and heard no response. Because of this neglect and utter Incompetence and care for patients well being I missed one dosage of medication. Unbeknownst to me when I had my levels tested with Dr. Testa my levels were extremely alarming. On February 15th my levels were 5.3 and the normal range is 12+. I was never once alerted about these low levels of medication and a week later after already having extremely low levels and missing a dosage due to my doctor not answering my request to refill I had a status epileptic seizure.my mother found me on my floor convulsing foaming out the mouth. I was seizing uncontrollably. My medical records state that they believe I had 11 seizures back to back prior to the ambulance arriving and then had 13 on the way to the hospital before they ultimately had to medically induce me into a coma to stop the seizure. They were concerned that I was not going to wake up or if I did wake up I'd be brain dead. If I didn't have the strength to fight for my life and spent 5 more minutes in a coma I was going to be transferred to the ICU. Thanks to god I woke up 5 minutes before being transferred. I could not drive for 6 months lost a tremendous amount of weight from stress and was commuting my freshman year of college which caused my family to have to spend money on rides for me to get to and from school to finish the semester. I missed multiple days of school from this. The nurses and my doctor at Yale when this awful incident happened were extremely great. By the looks on their faces and what my mother told me they told her they did not think that I would survive. About a week later I had my follow up with Dr. Testa about this seizure. Automatically she tried to pin this on me and accused me of not taking my medication. Meanwhile this happened because her team did not look at my test results nor inform me that they were EXTREMLY LOW and on top of that she denied my requests to refill my medication so I missed one singular pill. She refused to acknowledge that this was a screw up on her side and mal practice. No one looked over my results and she tried acting like she couldn't see the test results on my chart. She was playing dumb like I was never tested Meanwhile all of this is documented on my chart. She repeatedly tried blaming this on me claiming I must not take my medication even after I explained to her that my levels were 5,4 when she tested me and at the hospital after I had the bad seizure they had only dropped to 4.8. It took less than a 1% drop in my levels from when she tested me to when I had the status epileptic seizure. This was caused by a lack of care on her part. My mother ultimately screamed at her for her lack of care for patient well being and being a horrible doctor with zero responsibility for her and her teams mal practice. We told her we wanted to switch doctors and she proudly and rudely stated well I'm retiring anyways. All I wanted was for her to admit that someone screwed up on her side. Ultimately she did admit that "someone fumbled the ball" with me and my records. This was the first issue I had with Yale and I actually know someone that had seizures in high-school and told me that Dr. Testa was her neurologist and her team lost her records and could not find her as a patient in the system?? HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??? I thought this was the most prestigious hospital? After switching neurologists and fixing my dosage I haven't had a seizure in four years. However when I went to Dr. King Stephen's my new neurologist he informed me that I have epilepsy.
