To my knowledge I had never owned a pair of ASICS sneakers and when my current New Balance pair got worn to the bone I decided that it was time to give them a try. Mind you I am still a fan of the NB brand but since I had the time to choose I opted to give the shop in the Tanger Outlets a try. The staff in the store was very friendly and helped me pick out a pair straight away. The visit as around the Christmas holidays and they were having a "buy one get one free" sale going on which is never a bad thing in my book. My first pair was black since I often work in entertainment and need to be sporting black everything. I don't get running sneakers but instead ones that are aimed at walking but with some serious time at it as well. For my second pair I opted for white ones with a modest stripe design on the side. I prefer a blank canvas but this is how they come. To say these were comfortable would be an understatement. They were surely a much needed relief from my very well worn pair of kicks that went straight into the trash the moment I got back to the family home. While I consider myself a supporter of New Balance still, I think I might stick with ASICS for a while to give myself some difference. I don't know how often this outlet location has sales but there is a lot of reasonably priced models there and some higher priced one. Each has their own opinion on such things. There are very few stores in Tanger that have friendly and welcoming team members but ASICS has always delivered on this from the moment you walk in the door. The team is very knowledgeable which helps them uncover my needs and guide me to the right pair of shoes. Today by both Gavin and Dante who provided a top notch experience. ASICS Outlet - The beginning of the greatest Asics collection! - Shoe Stores Near Me - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

It's not "BASICS" but it is your basic ASICS. I've only ever seen their stores at outlets like this one. And it's exactly the same here as at any outlet. Men's on the left, women's on the right. Socks in the middle, shoes in the back with clearance items in the far back on the wall. The staff is quite helpful and usually freed up enough to quickly come over and ask if you need help finding anything. Most of their time is spent grabbing sizes from the back and talking with you about which shoe is right for you. Prices are good - it is an outlet after all. Selection is good too since, as I mentioned, I don't even know if any other style of ASICS store exists beyond an outlet spot. Unlike other big name stores, you won't find different stuff here from what you would elsewhere. Give it a look if you're wandering the outlets. read more

Shoutout to Mitel Patel at ASICS Outlet in Myrtle Beach for the tremendous customer service. Going in just to look and he sold us (my boyfriend) on two great pairs of shoes, one for running and one for everyday wear. As a picky shoe guy, he wasn't expecting so much shoe knowledge from an outlet store. Patel did a great job not only selling the shoe but explaining the ASICS breathable process for a good running shoe. What a great experience at the Asics Outlet in Myrtle Beach! The staff was super helpful, extremely knowledgeable and genuinely liked what they were doing. The store was packed, yet each employee did their part to make sure everyone was taken care of. What was also impressive was that Amanda, a regional manager, was very hands on with helping customers. A lot of "upper" management-type employees would watch the store employees do their job, but she was right in the middle of things. She showed what true leadership is supposed to be. While the BOGO sale on most shoes was great, the service was even better! read more
