Love some ASICS gear. In particular the running shorts and the Onitsuka Tiger shoes. The shorts are easily the best I've found that are geared towards runners. They're short in the leg and stop well above the knee, don't have a liner (this can be binding when it's attached to the shorts), have two standard pockets AND a zipper pocket for your key(s). To each their own I suppose, and you can find different kinds of shorts here too if running "ain't yo thang". However all of those features combined make the perfect pair of running shorts for me and I haven't found many brands that provide that option consistently and regularly. I will say the socks leave a little something to be desired. I've also yet to try out their shoes here. Staff has always been sort of "initially" helpful here. Every single one of them will ask you if you need help and remind you of the perpetual sales at their outlet store. But if you start wanting to talk more and make that connection they quickly lose interest or complexity in their interactions. That combined with the relatively high prices, despite being an outlet, takes off that extra star. read more

I spent about 45 minutes in the store today and was primarily helped by Tori. She was so knowledgeable, friendly, and perceptive of my needs. I left with two new pairs of running shoes and a couple of pullovers. The shoes were BOGO 80% off! Definitely a killer deal. Tori made sure to offer many options that match what I was looking for. I took my new shoes for a run this evening and was reminded of how good it feels to run freely without having to think about the shoes tied to my feet. Asic.com I placed an order within a few months and two pair of shoes purchased. I did a return and have tracking. One pair unopened. The shoes tracked to their warehouse about 2 weeks ago. When I called multiple times for my refund I'm told I have to wait ten to 14 business days. They still haven't sent email saying when refund would be given or that they have the return. It was around $170 for two pair. The shoes were very narrow and the toe area was cutting into my toes. I was told last week that customer service could over ride return and issue refunds but to wait 14 days. So I'm waiting and nothing while they have merchandise and my money. Ironic they take $ as soon as you click enter but you have to play their dishonest game and they bank interest on your credit or refund. **update refund in checking account today. No email of return nor mentioning refund occurrd. read more

I went into the store as a serious buyer for the Kayano model as I've been told it's a great shoe for someone with Plantar Fasciitis. The salesman inside and I talked for a good 5-10 minutes, he was very helpful, or so it seemed. He was adamant that the Kayano was not the best shoe for me. He persisted that I go with the Surveyor. Well, about a month later and my Plantar is back and worse than ever. So I called them and politely explained the situation and asked if there was anything that could be done. I was told to bring the shoes in the next day and they judge used shoe refunds/exchanges on a case by case basis. Ha! The next day I show up (inconvenient drive for me by the way) and immediately get told by a different salesman that the Kayano is the much more effective shoe for my condition. All I got from the manager was every customer service cliche in the book and zero actual customer service. She said no used shoe can ever be refunded. I do understand that to a degree and yet I explained that it was her employee and her product that failed me. Essentially the employees all just shared opinions with me without actual fact/education about their products/and return policies. Not only did I waste $90 on a pair of shoes that worsened my condition considerably but also my time driving up for nothing. She apparently did not feel that anyone there was accountable for any of this, which again, ultimately I'm the consumer and my purchase is my decision. A good company with good leaders would've handled my situation much better. Hoka One One running shoes are incredible for Plantar by the way and the store that carries them, Charlotte Running Shoe Co. has exceptionally informed and trained employees/managers. read more

I'm a big fan of Asics and I went to this store to replace my running shoes (which are Asics). The products in the store looked good however the staff was terrible. I was not approached for assistance. I stood around for a while and I happened to run into a friend. We talked for a few minutes before an employee finally approached me only to rudely tell me to move out of the way because we were to loud...I can tell you we were not being disruptive. Needless to say I would recommend you look somewhere else for your Asics. I'm not returning to that store. read more

I have to say, overall the Asics brand has been the most reliable shoe for helping cure or at least keep Plantat Fasciitis from getting worse. The bad is they are expensive and only last 90 days, the refusal to cover them under the corporate warranty policy is that "the shoes have been worn", well I sure didn't buy them to look at them. I recently was told by the corporate office to go to this store to do my warranty swap out, to be safe before making the long ride there I called and spoke to a manager who said not a problem come on in, unfortunately I was unable to get to the store that night, I'm disabled and can't drive. The following day I was able to get a ride and the minute the door opened I could tell this woman who worked there was in no mood for anything, you know one of those who hate their job, pissed off at the world and hate their own life but instead of doing something to change it they are just nasty to everyone they come in contact with, well that's Mellissa and she works at the Asics outlet. Since May of last year I've purchased 3 pairs of the Kayano's, ($480 or $35 per month) that's way to much to spend on shoes to have them (Asics) find every excuse in the world not to honor their warranty. Asics are the best sneaker ou there. The only thing better than asics is the entire staff at this location. They are beyond helpful and take the time to answer my questions so I can ensure I get the right product. Not only is it a great product but it's som of the best customer service I've received.
