I called Steve the day of to beg for an appointment. "I'll take any time for any length. I'll take even 10 minutes, if you got it," I implored. I was able to get an hour long massage at 4PM. Steve Ayton was so kind and endearing. Most places ask about your job for the purpose of the massage, but Steve actually absorb the information and what it meant for my body aches and adhered to requests I had: I wanted a total body reset and he delivered. Rather than asking for what pressure I like, he said he'd use the physical pressure he felt was appropriate and I could ask for adjustments, which I felt took the emotional pressure off myself to choose and I immediately relaxed. I swear the moment he started working on my calves, I checked out for a moment of total nirvana and my feet? Forget it. The incredible pain I came in with was simply gone by the end of our session. His office is in a large old wooden house on the street with a salon downstairs but it's insulated well enough and I hardly noticed the small noise as the massage was so good. I highly recommend Steve and his caring touch. I know I'll be recommending him to other travel guides that visit Gettysburg with sore feet.
