All the food was very good to excellent and we are foodies from Long Island. The best item is the crispy tuna roll! Amazing! Tuna and avocado roll wrapped in crispy seaweed , so good. All the sashimi was fresh and cut perfect size. Tuna tataki was excellent as was the rib eye steak we ordered the second night we came by. We were craving sushi and were walking in this shopping center, so we stopped in. The staff were very nice and attentive. The menu isn't anything special. It's a normal menu for a sushi restaurant. A lot of their specialty rolls have asparagus and I'm not a fan so I didn't really see any that I just had to try. The atmosphere is nice with a huge bar. I was surprised they do NOT offer sashimi options. (I normally get a specialty roll and a side of wahoo and something else). We ordered a lychee martini, ichiban beer, calamari, and sushi/sashimi combo. The lychee martini wasn't a good mix, but i won't waste liquor :). The calamari had a nice light tempura. The sushi/sashimi was okay. It came with Cali rolls and 6 pieces of sashimi and 6 more pieces of Nigiri. It was fresh. Just know that they charge a convenience fee for paying with a credit card which was almost as much as the tax. It would have been nice to know this beforehand. Atmosphere was nice food was mediocre at best. We came to the area for a family wedding and had dinner. Extremely overpriced, portion sizes were tiny. We were a party of 5 including 1 kid, server slapped an 18% gratuity on us because he said our party was large with 5 people including a kid. Even though it does not state that on the menu. Then when we paid with our credit card, they charge us an extra 4% without mentioning it to us either. I will never come back here. Beware. I rate based on a sushi/sashimi delux that i always get and is usually about $30. This was $40 Also annoying was adding 4% for credit card usage. We went here last night with a party of 5. We asked to sit at 2 small tables next to each other, with 4 chairs total. But the lady said that she couldn't let us sit there because she would sit 8 people there, and we were only 5. Instead, she made us sit at a round table right by the door so we had to endure people constantly walking past us to go in or out of the door. She moved a chair to that table instead of moving it to where we requested. Needless to say, they eventually only sat 2 people at one of those tables. There is no way 8 people could sit there. When we entered the restaurant, there were two tables dining and the rest of the restaurant was open - except that almost everywhere had a "reserved" placard on it. Save yourself the trip! This place has degraded. We use to get great service, great craft beer on tap and great sashimi, but in the past year to year in a half, horrible all around. Lately they're always out of a good tap beer selection, the sashimi served is not what you ordered. Maybe they believe the customer doesn't know the difference in fishes served?? Not sure?? We arrived 4:30p, Monday. Ordered Hamachi Jalapeño and 5 orders yellowtail sashimi and 2 orders of salmon sashimi, all sliced thin. First the hamachi jalapeño was delivered, Cooked!!! Who does that? No ponzu sauce either. Terrible. Heres the kicker, the yellow tail sashimi was delivered, thick and white. It looked cooked and I wouldn't feed my dog with it! Horrible! We notified and questioned the product and the owner was adamant that it was yellow tail as he pointed to a spec of pink. We pushed it aside and never ate it. We ate the salmon (decent, but not thin like i asked). When it came time to pay the bill, the owner asked if we we're finished with the yellowtail before removing our plates and we replied ' we are done. That isn't yellowtail and its terrible." He said nothing and brought our bill. He charged us for the yellowtail. Unbelievable. We paid our tab and wont return. What a ripoff. My wife and I went for dinner last night. We were a little concern after reading the reviews. We order a seaweed salad a sashimi plater and the spicy monkey roll and cocktails. Everything was excellent. The place was very clean and service was very good. We did go early, about 5:00 pm. Both the food and cocktails are a little pricey and they add a 4% service fee if you use a credit card. I will go again and bring cash. read more

I usually don't carry that much cash and was surprised by the fee. The manager said it was posted and on the menu but it was not prominent. I will not patronize restaurants that charge a credit card junk fee. Credit cards are not only a convenience for the patrons but also for the establishment since they do not have to handle cash. If the fees (usually 1.5 to 3.5%) charged by the credit card company impacts your business, raise your prices to cover, it will not be noticed by the customer but a 4% junk fee will be. Good sushi place on the border of Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens. The vibe is nice inside--great for a date night. Service is quick and attentive. I didn't love the chicken spring rolls, there just wasn't a lot of flavor. But we really liked the crispy rock shrimp tempura. It is very light and crispy. The sushi rolls are pretty big and come really full. It is a pricier place. **We got takeout during take out during the COVID shutdown, and the service was awesome. The food was ready in 15 minutes or less. The staff came out to the car with a mask and gloves on to collect payment and deliver the food, and I felt confident all my food had been prepared safely start to finish. read more

Have eaten here at least 20x over the years and always enjoyed ourselves. The food is good with decent portion sizes. However the last time we went, we noticed the portion sizes to be much smaller. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned tonight to order the Lobster Monster Roll and some other items. The roll was about 2/3 the size of what it used to be. No extra lobster pieces on top and only 8 small pieces in total. I mentioned it to the manager and she had no explanation. For $29.00, I could have bought a whole lobster. Have been eating at Asian Fin for years, every winter when we're in FL. Have never been disappointed. Service is great and the food is superb. The lamb chops are my favorite, but the salmon is excellent too. My companion had the entree-size salad with chicken added and was very happy with that, as well. I used to dislike most of their cocktails, but now they make a rye old fashioned that is out-of-this-world delicious. I was there with my vendor and I have to say it was a great lunch. We've ordered 2 lunch and 2 rolls to share. It was perfect . The sashimi lunch is my favorite. The way they cut salmon are very generous not like other restaurant that so cheap with the cutting . The salmon was cut thick and it was so fresh . We also got King crab California roll and chunky monkey roll... Both are so delicious . The last dish is tofu tempura lunch .... We were not disappointed, the food and the service are perfect. If zero stars was an option then that's what this place and the owner deserve! First let me preface this review as someone that was a manager,server, and bartender for 15 years in Chicago including at a contemporary sushi lounge. First we had to race there because they stop serving at 9 pm. What sushi lounge closes at 9pm on a Friday night? So we were rushed to get our order in by 9, no problem, but they only had two choices for bottled saki and of course they were out of stock of the lesser expensive one. The spicey tuna hand rolls I always get first at every sushi restaurant I go to, in order to judge, had good flavor, but the tuna was very finely diced like paste, when normally good quality sushi is left in larger chunks. The rolls we ordered were mediocre, very small in quantity and very over priced. Two people, 3 maki rolls, 2 hand rolls, one bottle of saki - $120.23 . I went there because I had purchased a Groupon a while back that is expiring. When I presented it to the server he said I could not use it because it was for 4 people. I politely asked to please ask a manger. The owner came over and gave me attitude and would not apply the Groupon, or make any concession like apply half the Groupon and give me a voucher for the other half as other restaurants have done in the past. Groupon has refunded me the voucher. Poor hospitality and service, mediocre overpriced food. And the owner's attitude and rudeness will have me taking my sushi cravings to Kabuki or U-Tiki or elsewhere. I suggest everyone else take their business elsewhere too. Since I was in the biz I still left a 20% tip. As I saw the owner unpacking her new white BMW 750 from a restaurant depot run out front as I walked in, I feel confident she's probably stealing a percentage of her servers tips too! We ate there last night and the food was very good, however, we were still on our appetizer when they brought out the salad and before finishing both of those, our main entree was brought out. I think they should let a table finish their appetizer and salad without pushing the main meal upon them. We were quite surprised at the 4% surcharge they are charging if you use a debit or credit card! We have not found that at any other restaurants. We talked to the owner about it, but she was very stubborn about the issue. If they are going to do that, I think they should give a discount on your bill for paying cash! Generous cuts of sashimi, although I like the authenticity and quality of the cuts at Ebisu better. Asian Fin does have some very creative rolls, however, with solid flavor combinations. The Russian Roulette and Red Dragon are favorites. The rolls are gorgeous too, with the Russian Roulette playing off the tuna and white escolar with beautiful jet black fish roe. Although overpriced, they offer many Livingsocial or Groupon deals that make it an "average" cost per person for a night out in this area. Service is hit or miss. I've had some wonderful servers there, but I've also had a couple waitresses who seemed like they wanted me gone as soon as possible. Worst was when I was given advice on how much to tip upon receiving the bill. I don't need the sob story about how the chef and servers can't be paid each night unless over 20% gratuity is provided! I have been to this restaurant three times during business trips when I stay at the neighboring hotel (which I do love, the Homewood Suites). Each time I have never been impressed and have had some sort of bad experience. The day before going to this place on my third visit, I tried to go in at 9pm, they told me they were closed. I said your door says you don't close til 10pm, they tell me their kitchen closes at 9:30, I then tell them but its not 9:30 its only 9. So I leave. The next day, I was going to go to Coolinary Cafe, which is a great restaurant, but the wait was an hour long. So I decided I would give Asian Fin one more chance. I should have gotten in my car and found someplace else. The experience was the worst I have ever encountered in my life anywhere in the world. I had my one year old with me and when ordering I hear the owner tell my waitress to have my food made to go. Right then and there I should have got up and left, but I figured I would tell them no I am sitting here. My food came to the table not in a to go container to my surprise. Shortly after my food came I had to move my plate as they set it to close to my child and he was grabbing it was going to knock it onto the floor. Of course, my one year started to cry. They immediately came running with to go containers and telling me I needed to leave that my child needs to go home. First of all, that's none of their business and second of all do they not ever have children come into their restaurant and believe kids should only be fed at home. Wow!!!! I am appalled at such behavior, and not my child either, these RIDICULOUS adults. I should have walked out and not paid, but I did and gave a tip too, but told them their service was appalling and would never be back. The whole time even before my child started to cry the owner stood near my table staring at us like he was waiting for something to kick us out, what a jerk... We had dinner tonight and spent over $125. Just to let everyone know that they charge a percentage on your check as a "CONVENIENCE FEE". We asked for the owner and she showed us a framed document stating the fee. She REFUSED to remove the FEE. This FEE goes directly to her and the business not the employees!!! We try to always visit local businesses instead of the corporate chains but this is not a "thank you" to the patrons. If I need to bring in what good ramen is supposed to look like / taste like, I'll do it. If it means educating. What was served should not be called ramen, because every place I've ever eaten this dish, I've never experienced what was served (and I've had it as Far East as Japan and west as NY and Cali. Milky broth (had cream in it btw) w a true lack of what ramen should be (a broth made from the bones and meat of the protein, most commonly pork). Worst off, no flavor. I was dumping any side sauce I had in sight to add flavor. I questioned whether it was ramen. I guess what pissed me off the most was the $23 price tag attached to it. Not ok. At all. Your competitors are killing it at $16 just fyi. Nothing about this was ramen. Was too hungry to return it. Again. Hate to leave a review that negatively impacts, but you've been warned. If you change the name to creamy broth vegetable noodle soup, at least you give the customer a fighting chance to make a decision, you might save face, But if you're describing slow roasted pork bone broth ramen, then you're Misleading your diners. Clearly I enjoy ramen and when you're experience is shattered because you ate cream of vegetable soup instead, you're not happy. Stick to the sushi. Skip the red dragon roll. Or better labeled as the everything tuna roll. Red dragon has shrimp tempura and sometimes eel FYI. Just A lot of misleading labels on the menu. Both left disappointed. I want to line up business / restaurant owners at once who fail to realize one concept : your customer is key and consistency is what turns that key. Good service with consistently served good food. Dinner was tempura grouper, lamb chops and a shrimp tempura appetizer portion all very good. Saki with dinner was smooth. Our waiter was very accommodating. The food was a little pricy, however the drinks cost alot. A margarita cost $14 and my Lychee Martini was $12. To me... That is way too overpriced. We didn't see the prices for our drinks so that should've indicated that the drinks were going to be expensive. The reason for the 2 stars is the customer service. It was awful! Who leaves in the middle if their shift to take their coworker home? Our waiter did. He left to take a coworker home. We were looking for our waiter and he was no where to be found then finally asked another waiter and he said that our waiter left to take a coworker home and he will be right back. My husband and I were quite surprised. We needed him to change the drink my husband had to a patron margarita because our waiter said that he will gladly change it at no additional cost if he didn't like the Jose Cuervo margarita. So we couldn't wait any longer and the other waiter helped us with changing my husband's drink and he even took our dinner order. This place rocks, it's small and it's in a shopping center off Donald Ross. The food is spectacularly fresh! The sushi is outstanding and there is a small sushi bar to sit at if you prefer. Otherwise there is about 10 tables in the place and there are a few outside the restaurant. It's casual dining and just delicious! I have had soups, sushi rolls (ask for a Very Nutty if you are feeling like something different - it has strawberries and is not on the menu), they have hot meals (love the cohiba when they have it) and it's all been yum. I have not eaten anything that did not fancy my taste buds while here. You can eat in or you can pick up orders. Check it out if you are in the neighborhood. read more
