A cute little mart that sells a variety of asian sauces, treats, and groceries. I like how there's a kitchen in the back that has a nice lil menu of good eats to pick and choose from. Don't be deceived by the menu as there's actually a rotating menu of the day on their instagram @officialasiamart! I got their beef jerky medium and smokey flavors and both came out to $15 total. I also ordered 6 lao sausages (3 for $5), Papaya salad, Pad Thai, Kao Thiew, and 3 beef sticks ($5), Pork Cracklings which all came out to $47 which is insane because that much food for that price? INSANE! The food is IMMACULATE. I was here to pick up some items and looked up good food places and Asia Mart stood out. I love Cambodian food and it's nice to get some authentic food that doesn't break the bank and tastes impeccable. Everything's also made to order so it's fresh and not premade and you can see the owner grilling fresh meat sticks & sausages outside. The service is also nice and the lady at the register was kind to help answer all my questions. Check it out if you're in the area or near the area for good tasting, well priced Cambodian food or want to look/buy some Sanrio merch or need some southeast produce that you won't find at your Ranch 99/Hmart/168 supermarket.

Saturday, 11.4.2023 This place honestly deserves 5 stars!! The people working here are super friendly and the food is honestly so so good. I tried their caramelized pork, pork cracklings, and egg rolls for the first time today and OMG literally everything is so so good! Whenever I walk into this store it feels very comforting. You know the environment is warm and friendly. Even though the store is very small and located in a semi-sketchy area), the food packs a punch from all the flavor. The caramelized pork was so tender and it had hints of sweetness. It also came with that delicious "crack sauce" that I can't get enough of. I love how the prices of the food here is affordable!! I really loved the pickled veggies that comes with each order of skewers. It's spicy, sweet, crunchy and umami. I couldn't stop eating everything because it's just so dang good. The egg rolls were nice and crunchy. They came with a sweet chili dipping sauce. They were unique too because these egg rolls had taro inside of them. I never tried egg rolls like these before. It added a nice texture! Even after leaving the egg rolls out for HOURS, they're still super crispy. If you want to reheat them though, air frying them is the way to go! If you're not on that air fryer train yet, you definitely should get on it! The pork cracklings: my oh my, just thinking about them is making me salivate haha. These are deep fried pieces of pork belly. They're so juicy, crispy and savory, but not too salty. It really pairs well with rice and the "crack sauce" they give you. The sauce is sometimes also known as Thai Chili Dipping Sauce or Jaew sauce. It's spicy, sweet, salty, a hint of sour, and very savory. This sauce literally goes well with so many things and I can even just eat it with plain rice! I'm not even from Stockton and I'd definitely travel here just for the vibes and the food! Tip: I learned recently that their menu items change daily. To keep up with what they're offering for each day, you can check out their Instagram @officialasiamart. They post regularly! You can also call them to place your order instead of placing your order in person. This is a must try place, you guys!! You're missing out of you don't come here to try their food at least once. (Preferably on a weekend since they have more food options available!)

Based on previous reviews and photos, seems it opened a few years back already, which I did not know until now when passing by driving on Hammer Ln. Small Asian mini-mart (convenient store) with some Asian goods: hot food, some cold drinks (Thai ice tea), frozen food, papaya salad, snacks/candies, seasoning items, comic posters, a bit of everything here/there, etc. Limited items but do like that some of their prices are lower than what one may find at bigger Asian marts or supermarkets. Conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of parkings. Friendly staffs.

My picky eaters looove the kabobs omgggggg too delish! You will fall in love with not only the food but most importantly, the energy. These people are loving and dedicated. It's no wonder their food is delicious, you can tell it's made with love. So so so glad this place is open again! I love it.

In the early years of TJ's I have to admit I didn't care for their model and selection. Turns out…read moreit was more about me and my grocery habits. Let's just say I got introduced to a lot of amazing foods much later in life... Hummus anyone? Yeah, it was that kind of existence! Alas, I, now appreciate these more exotic and strangely wonderful foods and flavors Trader Joe's has to offer. One example would be my obsession with anything Ube lately and Joes has a nice selection of Ube flavored snacks. Also, their seasonal selections are off the hook with an honorable mention to the Fall Harvest themed items. Need some brie or aged cheddar for that charcuterie board? Done! Craving some quality chocolate ice cream? TJs rivals some of the best pure chocolate flavorin town. Produce prices are reasonable and as for the rest I haven't even scratched the surface of wine, flowers, and prepared foods.

That's one of the reasons I keep coming back. However, my most recent visit was disappointing. The cashier didn't greet me at all and made no effort to bag my items. What stood out even more was that he watched me bag everything myself without offering any assistance. It felt unwelcoming and out of line with the usual level of service I expect here. I hope this was just a one-off experience, because this location is usually much better.

Pretty upscale market with a nice deli and bakery for this area. I'd say real close to Whole Foods…read morequality and the prices match. But this local indy store has been around in this town for over 55 years, so it is well deserved for them to be a local fave. I only got a sandwich for the road and a bakery item, so no significant grocery shopping. I was traveling back home and didn't have a cooler so I refrained. But next time if I have a cooler, their meat counter will get exercised. Got a Salami Sandwich ($11/4*) from their deli and it was pretty solid. Every sandwich is customized, so every customer fills out a card, checks off your preferences and hand it over to a deli clerk. Nothing out of the ordinary here, just your basic sandwich stuff, but with quality and fresh ingredients. I liked everything in my sandwich, was even to put alfalfa sprouts in it, as I haven't had that option in over a decade. I wished there would have been an option to add oil n vinegar to make it more 'Italian' tasting, so I had to settle on just mayo and mustard, which is more classic American tasting to me. Still a solid sandwich that I was able to eat in 2 intervals so a decent value in my book. Coffee Crunch Cake ($7/3.5*) Very impressive tall cake with a very moist crumb. A little too industrial tasting for me but better than other grocery cakes like Safeway, which taste like plastic to me, so many additives and stabilizers. Cake part had a light chocolate taste, but maybe it was supposed to be more coffee-like? I couldn't taste any coffee except for this super hard and sweet candy on top used for garnish. Indeed that candy offered a 'crunch' element but in a very cloying and awkward way. Sure it was nice and glossy and even resembled shiny coarse stone like obsidian. But to take a bite that big of hard candy to go along a delicate cake was just too extreme for me. I think if that candy were in smaller chunks, more like a crumb texture, it would disperse more sending coffee flavor more evenly and not risk breaking a tooth on that hard sweet candy. I had higher hopes for this. Gawked at their butchers counter and it was pretty darn impressive, Pretty high quality stuff but also insanely expensive. Steaks start at $20 per pound and easily rises double to triple from there. But they got some serious cut steaks here, like 2-3 inch thick cuts and they even have a couple versions of wagyu steaks. Nothing is prewrapped, everything has to go through a clerk. Produce section just meh and regular. Well kept but Safeway may have a more extensive produce section. Dry goods definitely Whole Foods level. They seem to have a guy out front bbqing meats like sausages and tri-tip, like 7 days a week, which is impressive. I got there around 11 am and the employee was just setting up. Otherwise I may have tried something. Cool store, that if this were in my town, I'd be a reg. Since I was just a passing traveler, just call me impressed.

Coming to Podesto's Market is a treat for me. I get to indulge in treats that very from cookies to…read moreslices of cake, pies, and even hand pies, which I believe the hand pies are made in house. It has taken me some time, but I think I'm able to tell what items are made here at the store compared to items prepared elsewhere and sold here. The items that they have brought in are very good quality and taste great, I just prefer to have items that are made in-house, it satisfies my taste buds. Today I purchased "Podesto's Own" cookies. These are cookies they make in house. Today the flavours I purchased was lemon, malted white chocolate and a peppermint shortbread cookie. The price is $19.99/pound for these cookies and I bought roughly 4 to 6 of each of those flavours I mentioned, so I spent $11.51 total, but like I said, I get to indulge when I come to this store and it's no surprise to me when I get to the register. Some times I even surprise myself because I over estimate the prices which makes me happy to feel like I saved a little Today I also purchased three different kinds of cheeses that I was able to find in very small sizes. Literally, I think I paid $1.76 for the smallest one and I paid $3.12 for the bigger one. These are name brands that are expensive. (For my price range anyways) However these are cheeses that I would like to know what they taste like but I don't want to buy the full amount because what if I don't like it, they're too expensive for me to buy and then have to throw away so I'm excited to try the cheeses that I bought today. The last thing that I bought today was a green onion dip mix that I can only find at this store. I used to be able to find it at another store that is close by but for some reason, they stopped selling the green onion flavour and only sell the French onion, which I haven't even tried. I just know that the green onion is amazing and it doesn't matter what brand I try nothing compares to this one so I come to Podesto's to get this dip because thankfully they have carried it for years. It was really busy today, especially in the bakery and deli area, however, the people working today in that area were very friendly and tried to get to everyone as soon as possible. Once I got to the cashier everything went smooth. The long lines were gone and I got out of there without spending more than $40 today which is great. Oh, I forgot about something. I came across a fruit preserve that I did not think would be available at any store because I've only been able to find this online but it tastes amazing and it's low in sugar, which is what I'm always looking for as well. (Let's pretend like I didn't buy all those cookies today please...) Anyways, it's Fior di frutta, wild blueberries. I'm very excited for this. Now I know where to purchase this. I hope you have a successful shopping trip as I have today at Podesto's. There's so much to stumble upon and excite your taste buds!

I love to cook, so of course grocery shopping is fun to me. Their house generic goods usually cost a fraction of the price that competitors charge (including the other store that starts with a W!) Make sure to hit up the bulk bins. I bought about 2.5 weeks worth of groceries -- including cheese and some delightful chocolate wafers -- for under $65. I even found some brands and products that I can't easily find in my own area (Contra Costa County.) At checkout time, things move pretty smoothly and efficiently. My checker was friendly and super speedy. I was able to bag up my own groceries out of the way of the next shopper, which I think keeps the lines running quickly.
