What is greater than having 5-star food but being relaxed enough as if you were at a friend's house? The service is attentive and friendly, the servers are patient and professional. They take their time to explain anything you might need and make proper recommendations. The plates are on a smaller size, so if you have a big appetite you will have to order quite a bit, however, every single item was a hit. Each dish is creative, with perfectly combined flavors, nicely balanced, textures on point, and the presentations are stunning. A work of art comes to your table every time. It's difficult to suggest individual dishes because I can say that everything is fabulous but the Ceviche was something supernatural. Don't forget the cocktails! They are another experience in themselves. Same standard of beautiful presentation and great flavor combinations to choose from. This hidden spot deserves more recognition than it has. Any menu would usually offer 2-4 options each of beverage (wine), starter, main meal, and dessert. Everything was meticulously presented from start to finish. The homemade ceviche was tart yet subtly sweet. The starter was the only mild disappointment since it was only a crab-and-avocado sushi. My main dish of salmon with pureed potatoes was delightful. The salmon was cooked grilled to medium rare, extremely tender with every bite. I cleaned the plate clean with my bread to soak up every bit of the pureed potato sauce. The dessert was a lemon tart uniquely made with meringue shards on top and dusted with powdered sugar. The restaurant itself is Spanish-Asian fusion with rustic wooden chairs and industrial lighting (see photos). Service was friendly and efficient, and my waitress was patient with me as I placed my order in middle school-level Spanish. I would absolutely return here the next time I'm in Madrid to catch another meal!

Although the ramen noodles they served with were uncooked, the warmth and spiciness of this dish hit the spot. The chicken skewer was pretty good. For dessert we didn't papaya tart with yuzu sorbet, which was delicious. The service was attentive and very helpful in guiding us through the menu in English. The waiter did not seem to acknowledge my spouse throughout the course of the meal though, which seemed strange (e.g. didn't offer to refill her water glass). Overall I thought the food was good quality and it's a solid place to grab a bite, but nothing was really memorable and I think there are better options in the area.

I ordered the Mussaman curry with chicken, and was delighted to find that the curry was also full of fresh veggies: eggplant, BRUSSEL SPROUTS, zucchini, carrots, bell peppers, etc. Rice does not automatically come with the curry, so be sure to order a side of the jasmine rice to go with your meal! The curry is enough for 2 meals, and the leftovers the next day were just as good. My friends also got another curry and the chicken satay and were very impressed. It might be a little expensive for take-away food, but the freshness of the ingredients really makes this place worth the money. Go to Ginger Boy!
