Also, #15 (Pork Spring Rolls were massive!). They did not provide any utensils or sauce, so I'll be sure to ask for those next time. Still... really enjoyed this meal. We'll come back again

I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in to see a diverse crowd in a restaurant that's a bit in the shadows if you don't know where it's located. Food was very good, they had a very large and substantial amount of items on the menu. In both German and English. Our server spoke enough English to get by. Food came out promptly and it was great. Looking forward to coming back! They also offer take away.

(IMO good Asian food that's worth its price is hard to find) THEY MOVED: Friends took us here in 2013 when it was called Floating Market & located on Theodor-Heuss-Straße 14. We were so bummed when we thought they closed. But we found out they moved in 2017 and changed their name to AYUTTHAYA Bar & Restaurant on Gerberstraße 5A. The food is still delicious and has that spicy Thai kick to it. Smaller space than before, but still clean and lovely. FOOD: My husband always orders pad thai, and this was one of the best ones he's had. I had #41 Jungle curry ___ (can't remember the rest). It's not the coconut curry I thought. It was more like a sauté sauce with lemongrass, but I'm so glad I picked it! Definitely will come back!

But if you do like the occasional sweet and sour chicken or if somebody who's tagging along is unsure if their palate can take the Sichuan spices, you can even go for these. Even their non-authentic asian food tastes better than anywhere else in town (at least the ones I tasted). That said, my favourite are their Sichuan pepper dishes. Amazing - getting the craving, just thinking about it. Meanwhile the restaurant seems to be pretty well known, especially in the chinese community, because a lot of asians come to enjoy their meal here, which for me is a pretty darn good indication for authentic food. A bit of a let down is the space. It still got it's original German Bierkneipe from the 90's feel to it. The tenants seem to not be allowed to alter it enough (was the same with the Korean place before it). So it could be cosier, but they did their best. So don't be afraid if it doesn't look the way you would expect. Check the photos, and definitely try it out. Huge recommendation!
