Checked out this place with the family since it was conveniently on the U line that I was on making it easy to jump on/off. It was really, really warm that day, but didn't have any space to sit outside. The waitress. who was very nice, tried to at least put us near a window, but it didn't help. We ordered lo mein and a seafood noodle soup on the Chinese side of the menu. I actually thought the noodles were pretty good. As for Korean, outside of the bulgogi prix-fixe menu, the only other thing Korean I saw was the Mul-naengmyeon (Korean cold noodles in chilled broth) , which I thought was ok since it was pretty hot. The location is in the sex district so don't bring young kids. The menu does have pictures but the food doesn't come out looking like them. This is not for Korean traditional food. It was clean and they were polite but I can not recommend the food at all cause I left hungry. read more

Delicious Korean food. Bibimbap was quite enjoyable. Very nice and patient waitress and a clean location. Music playing, which is weirdly uncommon around here, but was appreciated. Only complaint is that it's a little pricey. We will def come again. read more

This would be 3 stars or maybe less back in the Bay Area, but for Stuttgart, it's the most authentic Chinese restaurant in town (or at least that has an authentic Chinese menu available for those who don't read Chinese). And yes, I said Chinese. It's a Chinese restaurant that offers a few Korean dishes. It has a Japanese name. The first part of the menu is very inauthentic German-Chinese food. (Skip that part). So it's a little confusing. Here's what Shabu-Shabu is passable at: Chinese food from a range of cuisines including a few dishes with my beloved Szechuan pepper (they call it "Chinese pepper"). They're better when you cook it yourself - via the amazingly tasty tabletop Korean BBQ and the Chinese-style hotpot. Both are all you can eat, and both are decent values if you come hungry. If you have a serious Chinese craving in Stuttgart, the current options are make it yourself, or go to Shabu Shabu. read more

As others have stated, for chinese this is as close as you'll get. their korean portion i would pass. I had the bimbimbap and honestly i've had better in the midwest of the United States. Way more rice than necessary and not enough veggies (meal received is NOT what was pictured). I ended up adding an entire bowl of "kimchi" to add more depth than just navigating through all the rice. Also, i questioned the quality of beef in the dish, but their wasn't much of it for me to ponder over. If you're looking for an extensive drink menu (beers and wines) they keep theirs relatively simple. I had a cappuccino for dessert. For those traveling from other countries, they only accept german debit cards (so NO visa). there is a bank across the street; i would recommend only bringing cash here. With extremely limited options in Stuttgart, Shabu Shabu is perhaps the most authentic Chinese restaurant by far...even though the name is Japanese. The food would be average in most big cities, but if you want Chinese in Stuttgart, this is the only place you should eat. Ownership is actually Chinese, and most of the patrons are Asian, so that should be a clear indicator of why it's the best option. read more

This place is clean convenient and efficient. Walked in off the train and the beer was cold, it's extremely clean, classy and food was tasty. Would definitely come here again. Outside seating is a bonus since it affords for people watching. read more
