My research found that Dr. Hammond and his staff were reputable in cosmetic dentistry so I decided to schedule a consult. My initial impression was that the office was modern and edgy (there's no front office setting) but still comfortable. I was brought back to a room where my consult professional Tracy gave me the rundown of what to expect with veneers. She was nice and personable but that hardly softened the blow of the sticker price of 11 veneers-Whoa!! Then Dr. Hammond came in to introduce himself and examine my teeth. He had such a good energy about him...kinda like when you were a kid and your big brother's best friend was always cool and nice to you--that's Dr. Hammond. He was genuine and friendly and communicated so clearly that I immediately knew he was competent and felt at ease. The process would go like this: I had to pay everything up front-ugh and it would take about 6-8 weeks from beginning to end with a series of several hour appointments-UGH! Not fun right? Surprisingly it wasn't bad at all. So let me quickly explain how this goes First meeting- 1hour: They took impressions and photographs of my teeth. Dr. Hammond will ask you a series of questions to get you to start thinking about your smile. Do you want your teeth to be staggered or more straight, what shade of white are you comfortable with-- all of which I had never thought about. It's at this point that I really began scouring the web for pictures of smiles and veneers and developed an idea of what I wanted my smile to look like. The hard part is developing the language to describe what you like/don't like. This is where Dr. Hammond's assistant Demri was really helpful. She has a good eye and intuitively knew what I was trying to communicate. The coolest part--Dr. Hammond was actually AS excited as I was about my new smile! 2nd meeting-all day: Nitty gritty time. I spent 4 hours in a chair with as they drilled my teeth down to apply temporaries. Throughout the entire time, Denri and Dr. Hammond were good about explaining what they were doing and I felt at ease with them in my personal space. Also, they work really well together and was impressed with their efficiency. After the temporaries were put on, Dr. Hammond spent some time shaping my teeth to my liking and then sent me off with a goody bag and list to take care of my new teeth. Few weeks went by. This was the worst part--not gonna lie. The temporaries felt like a retainer and well...about this time fatigue started to set in and I wanted the process over. 3rd meeting-30 min: Consult and shaping of temporaries. 4th meeting-all day. The real sh-bang! New porcelain veneers were put on and finally it was over! 5th meeting-Final consult and shaping of veneers. Amazing, they look and feel so real!! So how do I feel about my veneers? I love them, I mean it!! Dr. Hammond is a perfectionist and paid attention to every painstaking detail from color to shape. He worked hard to achieve the smile I wanted and honestly...it turned out better than I expected. I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Hammond and his staff to anyone thinking about veneers. The cost and time is well worth it, in my opinion. Lastly, a great thanks to Dr. Hammond, Demri, Brooklyn and Tracy! I was going to get home in the evening and had to fly out the morning. The tooth was sensitive and we called to see if they could look at it that night. After making some calls to decide which dentist and which assistant would stay to help, they scheduled me for 6:30 in the evening, right when I would get off of the commuter train from the airport. They anticipated that they would have to do some work and make a whole new crown (2.5 hour procedure), but they were willing to do it for me. When I arrived, they welcomed me in with smiles and it turned out in the end that it we were able to use my previous crown and it took less than an hour! I was off the next morning to Boston for my conference. No pain and a full set of teeth. Thank you, thank you, Cougar Dental!!!

My assistant Kalani who I saw my first visit was so knowledgable and helpful with my pregnancy and answered so many questions that I had. He was really thoughtful about everything I had mentioned, even in passing, like how I have really sensitive teeth-he warmed up the water he used to rinse my mouth so that it wouldn't be painful at all for me! He was also extremely helpful in offering different treatment options, being really mindful of payment options and were so kind and welcoming as a new patient. The other dental assistant I saw was amazing as well. She was so thoughtful, took iniative to also do above-and-beyond things to help me be comfortable (like getting me a blanket when I was cold) and maintain my dignity (like frequently wiping my mouth to get rid of saliva). But then you have to see the dentist. There are 2 at the practice, and the one I saw both times was unfriendly, careless, and inconsiderate. He was so thoughtless with everything he did, like jabbing the stick with the mirror in my mouth when he was holding it with one hand and doing something else with the other-just totally unaware of me. Or when he was pulling some sharp little pieces of metal out from between my teeth after doing a filling and DROPPED IT INTO MY MOUTH-- I almost SWALLOWED IT! I don't even want to imagine what could have happened because of his absolutely careless mistake. Long story short, we refused delivery and now our daughter is out of the country on a mission, which was communicated beforehand. We paid $500 and have received nothing for it. Worst experience we've ever had, and the most money we've ever wasted having received nothing in return, especially this was recommended by Dr Jeppson.

My son got called back, they let me go back with him. As they were prepping my son, they let me ask any questions I had. Within a few minutes they said it was time for me to go back out to the waiting room. About a half hour later they called me to the back & I was able to sit with my son. My son was awake when I went back, they had him stay in a chair with a blanket on for about 10 minutes to make sure he was good. I then went and got my car. They brought my son down to my car in a wheelchair. He was helped in the car and we then left. He wanted to immediately get a chocolate Wendy's frosty on the way home. My son did exactly as the directions stated on the paperwork they gave us. My son did well for the first three weeks. Just as I started thinking he was good to go. One of his back molar areas started hurting. I called the office on a Monday morning, unfortunately, Dr Jenkins was not there that day. Instead of the office, saying sorry and hanging up, they immediately called in a prescription and gave my son an appointment for early the very next morning. This helped my son. Dr. Jenkins did a good job. My son immediately healed. We found out somehow my son got some food stuck in his socket. We've had no other problems.
